Goodlife has over 300 locations across Canada so this is kinda serious! They're mad because we caught their employees acting up... not cause we filmed a harmless prank in their gym! What do you guys think? We don't think they can do shit so we're leavin the video up!

What you do is this: Tell them that you will delete the video, EXCEPT for the parts shot in public, which are the parts they're worried about anyways. And unblur those faces. I 100% guarantee you they would rather have a "prank at Goodlife" video on youtube than a "Goodlife employees freak out in public" video without any context... Corporate would figure out pretty fast that it's in their best interest to just leave you alone and let the video stay up.

He only said he was going to take "legal action" because you put that word in his mouth and you seemed a bit frightened about it. There's no law that prevents you from using that uniform, no law that prevents you from going into the gym. The only thing that would be possibe for him to do something about, would be the fact that you recorded inside a private studio.. However, you're not making them look bad in any way, if you were harassing people, making a mess,- something like that, it would be different. I think you overestimating the value brought to your cause by the employees acting out-of-line. A massive company is not concerned about the well-being of low-tier employees. Companies deal with this all the time; Mcdonalds employees spit in people's food, they get fired, gym employees overreact to you filming on their property, they get fired. If their only concern is over brand perception, they would do well to just fire the employees, and continue pursuit of legal action. Companies are shielded from misconduct of their employees disclaiming representative agency. In concept, while the guys in your video are employees of Goodlife, they are not employed in a representative capacity, thus you have no legal case against Goodlife for their actions, unless you are able to prove(and you can't) that Goodlife employs a policy that infringes on your rights, and those employees were acting according to company policy. So there goes your case; you don't have one, and Goodlife still does.
