but the POINT of his charcter in s1 IS TO BE ADMIRED, his role in s1 is to lead the team, bring them up, be admired, be the perfect kid. Kids watch this show and thinks he's perfect, he is well admired and is often take out of the team because the matches would be boring with him being the perfect ace, they took him out a lot to keep the iconic cold axel character that is to be admired. Disagree with the bond w mark, axel, mark and jude they had amazing bond, they were great friends and its like the iconic trio. However when it comes to the rest of the team, I agree the others (other then marl and jude) just admired axel there wasn't really a bond between them.

You should do a review on Bellatrix from Genesis and what a waste of potential she is.

I don't agree on any of the points, Axel is honestly made really well as a character. His backstory of him being a star striker who quit football because of his sister gives him good development, it also shows he's not a football freak but actually respects his family. Also being silent and cool doesn't make you a badass it's just that Axel has a lot of respect and for that reason he stays silent, that's why he helped Raimon against Royal. The reason for Axel being involved in all of Raimon's shots is because he's the only experienced player, you have to remember they are playing on national level against strong teams and no one of Raimon has played football before. They had to rely on Axel's kick power to carry them through the tournament while the rest of the team slowly catches up to the game. As for Mark and Axel chemistry they are really good friends, Mark even says something along these lines in the final match "i protect the goal and you make the goals". They are a perfect duo supporting each other every time. About Fireball Screw there is a reason that it's underwhelming and just "fire tornado", Axel's moves are based on power only and lack speed but Fireball Screw is based on speed rather than power because the move is based on The Typhoon by Hurley that's why it has a spin motion with more fire. As for his dad he always supported him as a football player but when he lost his wife he got kinda depressed and to make it worse his daughter got into a coma because of football, he doesn't want to lose his son despite him being talented so he tells him to study as a doctor so he can learn to save lifes. But at the end he can't force his son cause he doesn't want him to waste his talent. His role in GO as Zabel was even more badass. My point is Axel is one if not the best written characters in Inazuma Eleven as he is everything you would expect from a striker with a really good backstory supporting him.

Gouenji is my fave male character (I know I don't really show it much, well besides that my dp is him now that I look to the left of this comment box, but Milla can confirm for me xD) and I agree with this. He isn't a bad character, but the story plot made him feel sooooo boring and like "I'm just here to solve problems that was probably caused by me suddenly leaving" still love him tho

He did Endou/Mark, and now Gouenji/Axel.... Wondering how he'll describe Kidou/Jude if he's next. Hoping to see GO and Ares characters too someday www Edit after watching the video: I can agree with a lot of the points on this and also disagree on some. He's badass when it comes to moves, and I think in season 1, he kind of does have to carry the team because he's the only experienced player, so I can forgive that. And his hesitation in playing soccer because of family issues is also a story that does happen in real life (not just in sport but many others things). I mainly don't like how they put him on a pedestal in just about every season. He's one of my favorite characters, but I don't need the show to make him EVERYONE'S favorite striker because... It almost feels like they're treating the whole OG cast as a one-man-team? The Tsurugi brothers admire him and Kyousuke became GO Raimon's ace striker because of it, okay cool. Tenma admires him because he saved his life, makes quite a lot of sense. But they didn't have to do that in Ares with Kozoumaru... It didn't have to be Gouenji who inspired him to be a striker. And we sure didn't need the 27547452763736 Fire Tornados in that season... Point is, I love Gouenji/Axel, but I wish he wasn't this saint-like figure that does everything right and have people look up to him all the time... He'd be more interesting if he really did turn evil in GO and had to be "made to open his eyes" by Endou and the GO Raimon team. I guess that's why I like Tsurugi more than him too. He went from villain, to good and supportive, but became a villain again because he was bored of being supportive and wanted to play against Tenma again. (Okay not really, because he knew about everything before anyone else did, but it still made for a good story! It showed a side to him we wouldn't see any where else... I wished Gouenji had a moment like that)

I was kinda irked at first that Victor in GO was just following Axel's same storyline, but then I like that Victor isn't as OP or given as much 'God-tier celebrity status' as Axel.

You definitely got some good points. I think the reason why you hate him, is not that he is not badass enough, it's probably because his weakness is just his family and he doesn't actually have actual self-improvement. So in the end he was written like /OP character in the series. Even endou has his downside in the series and it was shown to us how hard it was to succeed for him.

not gonna lie, i kinda agree, thats why i always replace him in the games XD would love to see a character review of Kabeyama/Jack Wallside

I never clicked so fast in my life, step back Kazemaru, i'm speed. The coach role fits him better, just because i'm SICK of him always being this pro player, he does everything good, he has no faults, his relashionship or "friendship" with the Raimon Eleven is hollow, the start of the first Inazuma Eleven game is "let's put this fourteen year old in a pedestal because he's cool". I was so excited when I tough he was gonna be the final boss in GO, but no, he was doing it because he loves football and he is not a bad person, let's just forgive him he is a God sent who can do wathever the heck he wants. The Best part in Orion is when he is injured. I can still going. That's sad.

I think personally wise he’s kind of boring and I do agree Go 1 was a really interesting storyline line for him

I mean, he does have character with layers that being his relationship with julia, he saved mille in season one bc of her. Then later down the line he learned to open up to people and actually remember how fun it was to play with others, like I think the first match and the Millie thing happen in the same ep lol.

consider his dad is like a doctor, he probably made a lot of money and I recently watch back that scene when he talked to his dad, the reason why he wants his son (Gouenji Shuuya) to become a doctor is that his father wants his bloodline to a doctor. The reason is much more dumber than you think XD
