It's where the rich use public transportation.” -Gustavo Petro instead of advertising private vehicles (or let’s specify the advertised company in the video ‘AROMA’), we should focus more on making a well managed and reliable public transportation system with minimum bus fare and quality service in and out the capital (taking Singapore’s SBS as an example), which helps in time management and also reduce traffic to a certain extend. this is also best for the country’s economy in the long run as well as for the environment. though i’ve liked the content of other videos so far, i’m disappointed with the channel for SELLING information rather than spreading them. it made me question the truth and trust i’ve put on the content of the previous videos.

There is very less content, and more advertisement of Aroma vehicle and your IDS podcast. Advertisement in itself is not bad and it is really necessary source of income. However, releasing video for advertisement and doing advertisement in content video are two different things.

Advertisement is necessary. But, you shouldn't make just advertisement as the content. Calling out yourself as alternative media and doing this sort of things are not really good. They mislead your viewers. I am not trying to call you are doing bad. But, you should rethink. Also, on sumana shrestha's podcast you have advertised someone who is trying to send youth to foreign country. So, do rethink once. Good luck.

I have seen you guys promoting Aroma e scooters recently. But there are many concerns regarding this company, its promises, its after sale service, there is no official website, in depth review. On paper the scooters seem good but for how long they last it's the question. There are some negative comments in its previous model. I hope they offer what they advertise.

I fully agree with your point. Additionally, the narrative lacks significant details concerning infrastructure development to support EVs and the necessary funding for it. While boosting imports for EV also may provide a temporary solution, it doesn't address the broader issues at the core of the problem.

Of course finance ministry will be in trouble when tax is only the source of income for the government. They don't extract minerals and build infrastructure for sell like the other countries. They used to impose double the amount of vehicle as its import tax only. They are not going to reduce employees' salary so they either increase EV's tax to more than 200% or ban its import. Paying employees is more important than the impacts of global warming and clean air.

Nepal government salary is one of the lowest it should be atleast double of what the government employee are getting, timi yedi free ma kaam garna ready xau bhane salary ghataunu is justified. Great Video!! Kudos to that!! Also please do go through these arguments against EV. 1.Very Bad for Economy as it is a very very expensive purchase when we see the price in Dollars. One EV=2 ICE Vehicles. The price is so high that an ICE Engine vehicle can afford 5 years of Refueling with the initial Purchase price of an EV. 2.The Tax Benefit is only taken by the majority highly privileged people. Majority of EV buyers already have another vehicle at home. The benefit is not used by the common people 3. Among that 50% of Vehicle Pollution you mentioned, more than 75% comes from Public and Commercial transport and the remaining 25% comes from private vehicles. If you see more than 95% of EV sales are from Private vehicles. Government should strategize towards making EV as a priority to public and commercial vehicles. 4. EVs are already very Expensive Upfront. To make it even worse, It can pileup up-to 40-50% of its cost to replace its battery when degraded. Which is again a scary situation for both end user and the government. 5. Sustainability of the New EV Companies is another question. There are so many EV companies entering Nepali market today to cash in some money. 5 Years down the line so many companies will not exist due to profitability factor or Tax Factor. Considering all of these points, I believe that Rushing to EVs shouldn't be a national concern today. As a country we have bigger concerns to deal with than jumping to EVs. EV is treated only as an alternative in Market Giants such as US, India, Japan, Germany. EV is an Alternative. Not the Only Option

This is just an ad. There are no plans by the government to increase the tax of EVs. There have however been talks to introduce multiple slabs (which IMO is the best decision). Taxes on luxury vehicles must be increased and that on public vehicles should be reduced. Tax on vehicles like "Tesla", "Audi", and other luxury vehicles should be increased up to 300% or more. And tax on electric buses to be used as public vehicle (Black number plate) should be reduced to a minimum. Increasing tax is not always a bad thing. Progressive taxation is the way forward. The roads of major cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara are not ready for the masses to adopt cars and private vehicles. The focus should be on enhancing, developing and promoting the public transportation system, albeit be it through increasing the tax on luxury vehicles. Car-centric development will only lead to a dystopian underdeveloped nation, where the riches ride on Lamborghini and the poors will have to squish themselves in a bus of 20 seats where 50 other people are standing. Also, Aroma scooters are shit. My friend bought one and its range was only 60% (on a good day) of the claimed range.

Stupid solution. Luxury cars are barely even 5% of the total vehicle sales. If they raise it to 300% from what it is now it’s not even going to be that much. They need to stop the leak from the tax department itself. You can pay people there. To pay less tax. That’s the main problem, corruption.

It doesn't matter if they are more efficient or not. The fact is that Nepal has to import Petrol and Diesel whereas electricity is abundantly available, and it's availability is only going to rise. So, overall it's cheaper and cleaner, which more than makes up for poor efficiency. And EVs are more efficient than ICE vehicles. However, it's also a question of where does the charging energy come from.

@@Dipeshgiri7 No, it's not pollution free but it doesn't matter. An average person in US has 50 times the carbon footprint of a Nepali person (15.32 vs 0.28 tons). Nepal decreasing its carbon emission won't make any difference in global emissions. It's like ants worrying about food shortage in the jungle. Let the elephants worry about it first.

I am in full support of EV vehicles testo haina ki EV is a bad thing jhan for a country like ours, EV is what we need, pollution ra costing heriyo vane EV is one the best thing to go with. rather than esari EV aile nai kinnus paxi TAX badhnu vanda agi vanda please ]use your platform to raise a voice against the unnecessary tax increament kina vane I haven't seen the benefits of our tax being utilised in a correct way, So you and some other content creators has some big influence on the people right now. I appreciated your research , anlaysis skill and presentation skill in other videos but this video seems like your are promoting Aroma rather than promoting EV`s. Yeah , you can money do matters and of course you need it but aakha ma dhulo halne kaam tapai bata hunu chahi vayena hai.. Lets promote EV`s and let's contribute in control of pollution.
