I think your intro to the game is an issue. According to the devs there is no actual incentive to engage the other player PMCs at all. It's not mainly a PvP game and the PMCs are not enemy to each other... it's a gray zone... as the title suggests. I assume there will be in-game consequences on killing other players actually at some point barring you from doing certain things... maybe there already are, but nobody has discovered them in the playtest yet... truth is it is and will be 90% team based PvE. My fear here is people will treat it as a PvP game and shoot other faction players on sight all the time, which I would actually really hate. I really hope in the final product there is some incentive for the factions to actually work together instead of just killing each other.

It kind of reminds me of a game back in the day called MAG. Mind you MAG maps weren't as massive as this. It was still super fun to load into a full lobby of like 60 players. Absolute chaos!

If you are coming from games like ArmA the map here is not massive at all. It's large for the average game, but far from massive. ArmA3 has natively a 12.5x12.5km - 156 km^2 map (Altis) where it's SP campaign is set. I've seen maps as large as 60x60km though as mods, but the ground resolution (grid and with it textures) gets atrocious at some point. Check the more recent ArmA Reforger... Everon I think is 8x8km = 64km^2, so much larger than this little snippet of a map really. And the graphics are quite comparable. :)

@@fennoman9241 Yes, I said there are 60x60 km maps (3600 km^2). Weferlingen is a DLC map and is 20x20km. The issue is you make the map bigger, but the ground texture size stays at a low resolution, so it gets worse and worse the bigger the map.

One of these new extraction shooters is PvE and god damn I hope they keep It that way the minute that game goes PvP its over I'm sorry, but the gaming community now days ruins PvP games so its a refresher when Coop/PvE games are introduced to the industry its important to the Gaming Industry as someone who works in it so hopefully they keep it PVE
