As a Russian person in India, I would like to warmly thank the Indian people for their friendship, support for our leader, and humble service. Now get me another cup of tea and none of that stinky spices in it this time.
Yes India is beautiful and for everyone's everything and everyone is safe , and india is very very very very cheap and affordable and advanced ❤ new india, ❤
It was more then 50 years ago that USSR helped India, we were really poor then as England looted and ruined us, with the war on west side with pakistan and US & Uk planning to attack from the the east side, but USSR sent its fleet to the east to protect India and till this date it is not forgotten. That is why, not being rude or anything, we also know attacking another country is not right, we Indians are supporting Russia even after they attacked Ukraine, sorry people of Ukraine, USSR helped us during our worst time, nothing against you.
I support Russia not only because I'm Indian and grateful for their help in 1971, but also because I understand why Russia attacked Ukraine. After the end of the cold war it was promised to Russia that NATO will not extend their reach to Russia's neighborhood but Ukraine broke that trust and decided to join NATO which is not safe for Russia. Obviously Russia will feel vulnerable by this step.
As a Bangalorean, I can tell he understands us a lot. 😄 Unlike Mumbaikars or Delhites, We don't like to show off. We use money for our convenience. ❤ Posh life doesn't only mean, Showing off fancy mansions and supercars though we have people like that too, lol. 😂 Posh life comes in various shapes. Bangalore life is more professional yet fun. Decorum matters here A LOT. And our Russian friend here understands that through n through. I must really appreciate Max for finding such amazing foreigners who have amazing knowledge and experiences in India and who are OPEN-MINDED, Broad-thinking, and Literates with high standards and intelligence, Unlike the typical locals of their fellow countrymen who are completely invested in the Western culture. Nurturing your own culture and modernisation of the same can give you the identity and respect that you deserve. I love all your videos.
We Indians in general, and the people of Kerala state in particular had a good habit of extensive general reading and we are familiar with all the prominent Russian writers and their books. In the early 1960s there was a special drive in our state under the stewardship of Mr. P.N. Panickar, the then head of Kerala State Library Council, to set up libraries in each and every village under the local bodies . During that time, a lot of Russian journals & literary books of famous authors were easily available.
One of the reasons why most of the Indians have basic knowledge about Soviet Union is, till 90’s Russian literature of all types from Maxim Gorky, Leo Tolstoy to Karl Marx’s Das Capital used to be published and distributed at discounted rates in all major Indian languages by Progressive Publishers, Moscow. In fact it has had more impact in people to people relationship of both India and Soviet Union.
I am glad to see you max exploring my country India getting experience from different people which more precious when you see the future belongs to India.
Thank you Max for doing this. I Really enjoyed this interaction! I am from Bangalore and as a child I remember that there was a USSR Festival in Bangalore in 1987 and I had been to some stadium to witness that. I had never seen such grandeur in terms of clothes and ballet performances. It was spectacular!!
Max bro you are literally doing great job trying to get some real truth and experience of westerners living with Us... Like always India aka Bharat will always welcome all people from whole heartedly some might have faced issues and sorry for that but yeah it's in every country... and a great support and good wishes to you and people whom you interview from Karnataka , India ❣
This is how a foreigner comes to India and understand the the deep mind set, culture and family behaviour of India at the micro level. I m totally soaked to see that how he observed from the all aspects, specially the family's behaviour that parent children relationship. Amazed to see this kind of other countries people have been living in india. Now I understood how Britishers ruled India.
The interviewee's perspective is quite informative and he gives sound advice. Having an openess toward learning new and different concepts and implementing them has enabled him to grow and succeed in both business and his personal family life. It helped that the interviewer's questions were directed toward meaningful topics of conversation and not nonsense. I enjoyed the video.
Its very true. I miss these bird coices in western countries. In india from the morning i see birds, their voices, i play with street dogs and cows. many times my street dogs sit with me when m in sadness because of some life challenges. they are so lovable that they understand m not happy today. they try to give me hug and cheer me up. i miss that in west. I literally had 18-20 dogs waiting for me everyday in India around my home 😂😂
this Russian gentleman sounds genuine and direct..I liked his personality...there is a sense of some strong will and determination in his eyes to succeed and persevere .... loved this episode...
He seems to be totally unaware about religion in different parts of Indiabecause Bangalore is a different kind of city. Hijabi girls who cover up even their hands would roam in Bangalore without covering themselves but around their relative in their hometowns, you wouldn't be able to tell them from females of Saudi Arabia. But he understands the culture of India enough which is why he feels satisfied with his life which is very nice to know. Really appreciate how positive he is. Wish him a fulfilling life in India.
I Really like how the Guest is taking out the Positive Aspects from small things of what he observed. it's true that West have to Change it's perception towards india.india has changed a lot in past decade and still constantly evolving towards Global power.
I stopped consuming western media . They almost portray India like some sub saharan failed state with autocratic regime . They never talks about real issues like incompetent beauracracy , judiciary etc .
When you cross the road you should look left and right. Its a fact especially in big cities people are more focussed about reaching their destination than following traffic rules seriously 😂...also a proof of how densely our cities are populated.
6:35 this proverb not from hindi not from kannada its from mother language of all languages "Sanskrit" snd it is ( अतिथी देवो भव :) means exactly what he said 21:52 George Bharat (India) never forgets my friend never best example this happened between 1971 and now 2024 and india also not forgives specially Britishers (robber$) .
Hey @Max Chernov, curious what is demographic split of viewers of videos you create about India? These are some amazing insights about India, and as an Indian, thank you for doing this :)
i think that too but it's quite good by foreigners india is 1/5th population of world world oldest religion 3.2M like European union but single country extremist government on 2027 3rd largest gdp country 4th powerfull military a. still low income country but 3rd ppp on 2040 -45 middle income country then take too high higher gdp like china did 👍👍you should no about india also actually i m indian but i don't know much about other states quite fascinating
I can speak like fa hours abt thr right nd wrongs fa hours. yes They do did sme serious research abt india but thy lack behind so much abt india, indians, languages, religions and so many things. Yes we hv traffic, we hv regional differences, we hv so many differences among each n every state but actual reson behind all those things are hv reasons wch cnt b explained by a foreigner who settled here fa little amt of time... India is huge nd no one can understand very easily nt even in entire life nt even me but i did lived here nd studied smetng so i cn answer.......
99% Stomach upset in india happening because of oil usage. Sun flower oil can use any part of the world without any issue. in india many people using mustard oil, coconut oil etc.
My small suggestion for you is you have to help to poor or needy not for christian families.. that's where India is very very different from all over the world.. If you change that perspective . You have to treat equally not only in your business .. treat equally in helping people.. please understand
Similarly I was asked does india make windsheeter warm clothes fashionable ones 10 years back. today most of products you find in stores abroad made in India😊
It's not funny that we have marketed ourselves so poorly. We constantly feel happy accepting oscars and pulitzers for poverty documentaries and journalism.
In Mauritius a guy asked do your malls have AC. India is a very poor country as per him. He did not have much knowledge, India is helping Mauritius financially
You are doing the things as a foreigner in India which no one has done. I hope you get recognized for the love you have shown to us . Thanks Max. And your amazing guest.❤
Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is a Sanskrit phrase which means - “The world is one family.” Through your efforts to connect with all that may be part similar yet different from you, this is exactly what I felt.😊

Gdp wise india may be rich but the majority of the population does not benefit from this. At that time in history and for the majority of it, the strong looted the weak. Thats how it went. That was normalcy. Ofcourse does not excuse the looting. Sins of the parent are not the fault of the child. It has been enough time since independence. Indian leaders are holding india back primarily, amongst all the other factors. Love and blessings!
Defining poverty is also not simple . Some bpl card holders have luxury cars . Rural people live modest life that doesn't mean they are poor . Indians by nature are not heavy spenders like people in the west . Most of us believe in savings and owning gold .
Very knowledgeable, well-traveled & well-spoken guest! I especially liked the comparisons with Africa and his observations about family, business and individual differences about the countries he lived in! 👍
Yes you are very right friend....soviat union supported india....we never forget.....and we will pass this information and learn aor child to respect russian.
i want to know your secret behind finding such a sharp minded individuals for these interviews , they are so articulate in presenting their view as if they are presenting a ted talk. kudos for your effort for bringing out this content to us
One of the best videos of your channel...U r a great interviewer & know exactly what & how 2 ask...The observations by guest about Indian society are perfect... He's very talented, smart ... Indians love & trust Russia due to the past history when Rus helped us during our difficult times... Just help an Indian, individual in his/ her difficult time, and he/ she will never forget you... That's the part of culture...
We Indians may forget a partner during the good times, but we will never forget a partner who stood by us during the bad times. Even our next ten generations will remember their legacy.

I think it was one of the besti nterview - from both sides. Deliberate, well thought out responses to searching questions - no waffling, no sentiments, just honest responses. Kudos
Being an Indian, it's good to see India from the eyes of foreign expats, guests. They touch those points where even me as an Indian haven't thought or pondered upon.
I accept we are densely populated and not as rich as the so-called "west" but this is the fact not a single disease is endemic or an outbreak from India . I don't want to barge about India , INDIA was, is and will be GREAT every Indian feels , believes, knows it. The world will know the sooner the better .
There are Indian orthodox churches in all major cities, and a good number of christian population in Kerala. And allmost all people in the northeast are Christians , protestants.
