Why Heat Paint Your Car Parts 

I used to really dislike them when they were on small cars built in the 1980s, but newer ones are solid and can last 150,000 miles before the need to change them. The braking output is about only 50% of disc brakes. They have lower brake grip on hills also. They do last longer though. You do get a truly independent set of brakes say if you hydraulic lines burst and you lose braking.
