You can shit talk about Hong Kong all you want, but one thing I enjoy about staying in Hong Kong, which Singapore can never replace, is its geolocation. Within a four-hour radius by plane, I can fly to all the major Asian cities such as Tokyo, Seoul, and Beijing. This gives me a head start compared to competitors residing in Singapore. First mover advantage, my friends.

But then the developments are all in south east Asia, not east Asia.

what a dumb answer. Within the vaccinity of Singapore, 1 hour to KL, 2 hr to BKK, 2 hr to Bali, 2 hr to Jakarta, 2 hr to Phuket, etc., it really depends on what you want. I'd prefer south east asia. First mover advantage only applies to people entering a market with a new idea or product. You getting there first by plane doesn't mean anything. If you had a business that requires you to be near Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, then i'd understand. But I can get to these countries from Singapore in less than 6 hours.

The mainland Chinese rich are not really keen to come to Singapore. Mostly are from Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other Asean countries.

Hong Kong 🇭🇰, as a financial center, is finished after China introduced the repressive "National Security" laws. - Talents have left. Businesses have closed. Empty office buildings are all over the former British colony.

Please do America have National security laws. You really think Hong Kong under the British government before hand it back do have it. Hong Kong was lucky it do not put in place at 1997 give the opportunity for the western like America to put people in key points in Hong Kong government and other places like in School to get people start trouble. Like they have many times in other countries and start war. The difference is China but a stop to it
