@@Escapement24 😂 I can imagine! The shot also reminded me of Adrian from B&J, when he did the same sort of shot with his Rolex Kermit, but the waves washed it away, to the point he thought he’d lost it only to find it metres away from the shoot location lying face down in the sand. Talk about a heart in the mouth moment!

Yeah I tried the 200 before buying the 600. I loved how it wears and it's probably the one I should've bought in hindsight, but I preferred the more quirky aesthetic of the 300 and 600.

Which colour did you go for with your wife's Sub 200? They really are a unisex design 👍

Cheers Chris, I'm still deliberating whether to keep the Doxa or not. I keep changing my mind! Doesn't help that after holiday I've gained a few pounds so it fits a bit better now 😁

The sub 200 is worth looking at

I know 😂 I spent about a month trying to get in better shape and lose a few pounds before the holiday and after buying the watch I went in to training to put it back on. Eating all those puddings and washing them down with half a bottle of red every night was hard work 😉

I looked at the Sub 200 and tried it on. It definitely wears better on a smaller wrist than the Sub 600 but the looks didn't speak to me as much. The Sub 300T was the perfect balance - wears beautifully and has the quirky looks I like, but it was out of budget. Plus I would've really wanted the carbon one and that's even more out of budget!!

Sounds familiar!! I've done that a few times. I also find myself adding lots of inexpensive watches to the collection because they're so accessible, only to see something of a higher value some time later that I really want but haven't got the funds for 🙈

I came close to picking up a Pelagos LHD last year but it was just a fraction too big (or at least it would've been ideal if the lug-to-lug measurement was 2mm less). Love the design though with those creamy indices and the roulette date wheel 👌

The PO is an awesome watch man but a touch too big for me at 42mm sadly. Enjoy your vacation and if you get a chance hop on to the discord server (link in the description) and post some wrist shots!

I really liked the white ceramic bezel but my AD wasn't able to get it soon enough and I wanted the watch before my holiday/vacation

Hey James, thanks man 🙏 I looked at the Zodiac watches online but there isn't anywhere nearby where I could look at them in the metal and try them on. I do really like the look of the titanium SSW and would love to get hands on with one. Maybe next year's vacation watch?

That would be great 👍 BTW I tried the Sub 300 whitepearl before I bought the Sub 600 and it wore really nicely, but sadly was out of budget at the time. The carbon version looks very cool and I can see that joining the collection one day.

It's definitely bulky, no doubt! Personally the design of dial of the Army is a bit busy for my tastes but that Sub 300 case wears so well.

That's a pretty fair assessment - I also love how it looks but it wears a bit too big and heavy on my wrist

Mine wrist is just over 6.25", so pretty small. I'd say that if you have a 6.75" wrist or above the watch should wear OK, as long as you accept that it's going to always be a bit top heavy due to the weight of the case.

The BB Pro is one of my favourites.

My wrists are tiny - 6.25" 🙈 I've been wearing it recently for shorter periods and haven't had any issues with comfort, so on that basis I may end up keeping it. I'd definitely recommend trying one on. Let me know when you have and what you decide to do!

@@Escapement24 Thanks for the follow-up! I'm glad it's becoming more comfortable. The watch will probably be OK for me, based on wrist size, I'm just not used to wearing "big" watches - I have a Submariner and I find that big and clunky at times, although I'm gradually getting accustomed to it. I have about four windows open with various colour combinations of the Doxa in various stages of the buying process, haven't pulled the trigger yet but desperately want to! Have just bought tickets for the F1 at the weekend, though, which makes the Man Maths a bit harder to justify. Decisions, decisions...

@@Escapement24 Great news! I'm in Dubai this week and stumbled across a watch shop that's selling Doxa, and had a 600T White pearl to try! It's a really lovely watch, and a perfect size for my wrist. Sadly they only had it on stainless steel instead of rubber, but I'll definitely be ordering once finances have recovered 😁 And yes, Singapore GP...got utterly soaked 😐

Glad you got the chance to try on the Doxa and that you like it 👍 I also much prefer it on the rubber strap rather than the SS bracelet. I got mine from Watches of Switzerland and they were offering 0% finance over up to 4 years and next day delivery. I don't give financial advice but for me it was a no brainer. I paid a 30% deposit and paid off the balance about 6 weeks later. I haven't been to the Singapore GP but it's one of the few that are on my bucket list, along with Monaco and Las Vegas, which I think will be awesome! I've only been to the Barcelona and Abu Dhabi GPs, and tbh I think a lot of the races are best watched on TV, but the circuits I want to go to are the ones that create more of a spectacle with the night races etc.

Stunning watch but I just didn't gel with how it wore on my skinny wrists, so it left the collection a few months ago

And as for trying it on....yes I did but sometimes a few mins in an AD isn't enough. I probably had some reservations at the time but you know when you just really want something to work?!
