I have a 2022 wrx manual but need an auto. Looking at a 2023 xdrive 230i used with 5k miles for 43k but it does have some options, so tempting to get it. Its white too...hard choices..
@@twoguysonecoupe1050 if they drop the idrive and the fancy automatic, give it a manual and price it in the low 30s it would sell like hot cakes. Literally would corner the sport compact market.
Debating this or a 2024 integra type S OR Civic type R. However, i hear BMW dont last long and not reliable. Have you had issues? and is that pump in engine audio @4:54
It is pumped in audio from engine but it sounds amazing. My car was $38k new which is less money than some Hondas and acuras! In my opinion better value 100% especially build quality and fit and finish. In terms of reliability these new bmw engines have been adopted by Toyota. Which is a testament at how much they have improved. I am planning to drive my 230 for over 200k miles trouble free. With routine strict maintenance
@@twoguysonecoupe1050 If you had a choice and the funds, would you have gotten the M240 instead of 230? That's also one of my debates. A lot of people who bought the 230 regret not getting the 240.
@@twoguysonecoupe1050 Also, hows the maintenance? Are you worried after 30k miles, thats when you will start having issues? I tend to read a lot of BMW failing after X amount of miles hence the reason after 30 to 40k miles the value of BMW goes down really low
@@bj10jgo no I’m not worried. Planning on driving this car for 200,000 miles . Already put 20k miles in just one year. Nothing has even gotten close to going wrong. I love the 230. No regrets on not getting the 240. I get better fuel economy. My car is lighter than the 240 so it handles well, and also still quick enough on civilian roads, and I can wring it out all the time and not lose control
check out our newest video on the 230, explained my first year owning it:) all good things! 🎉 hope you get one soon you can enjoy it as much as I have!
So I'm debating between a 230i xDrive or a JCW both are two doors... What do you think of those options.. also I had a 2012 but this past January it got totaled.
If I'm not mistaken did JCW comes manual and Auto... The one thing I hate about mini cooper. They only cater to Apple carplay. I have an Android... But I feel like like you said you get more features maybe including more safety features. I could be wrong about getting more safety features in the BMW
I just made the switch from a 2017 jcw to a 2023 230xi and the jcw is a MUCH more sports oriented car, it’s just very rough and delivers power like no one’s business. The bmw is just much more refined and better for all types of driving, but may leave you disappointed on the “novelty fun” aspect. Both are amazing cars tho
@@JKIZZLLE I didn't know they made that car in a hybrid. I just bought one and I asked about hybrids. Maybe it's not in the U.S. but nothing I've seen gets that kind of gas mileage.
The mild hybrid's electric motor provides greater efficiency through the use of a single device that is essentially an integrated starter/alternator sometimes known as a generator-motor unit. A typical mild-hybrid setup uses a belt-powered generator-motor unit driven off the engine to supply power to a small battery. The generator is also powered through regenerative braking, enabling power that would otherwise be dissipated as heat to be recaptured and recovered for use in powering the vehicle. The small power assist generated by mild-hybrid systems can help supplement the internal combustion engine in low-speed situations or handle the demands of engine start/stop functionality. Vehicles equipped with a mild-hybrid system typically see anywhere from a 0.4 to 1.7 km/l improvement in fuel economy relative to comparable models without the technology. So Not really a traditional hybrid
@@twoguysonecoupe1050maybe you should learn what’s under your hood instead of just googling something you think your car has. You car is not a Hybrid, there is no electric motor otherwise it would have adopted the 230e name instead of the 230i. All 230i are internal combustion exclusively. Look under your hood, if you even know what the hell you’re looking at, and you can easily see there is no hybrid equipment. Maybe I’m the future there will be a hybrid 230e but for now there is only the 230i.
