Did you mean you’re dropping audio samples into wavetable or literal wavetables you have in your user library? Sorry if that’s a dumb question but you said wavetable samples so just trying to be sure, that part confused me a lil🫣😂
Jk @dnksaus I just checked out the longer wavetable vid on your channel and see you actually meant any sample! That’s so sick can’t wait to try it out, I’m a patron and obsessed with your channel and patreon! Thanks for all the hard work and creative stuff you put into your vids. I think I can speak for everyone when I say we appreciate you sharing your wealth of knowledge. Keep it up🫶🏻
i like serum just for the UI but vital is my go to. i wish i wasnt too dumb to understand surge XT the UI is so cluttered it makes me feel uneasy. i dont know why i avoid the onboard ableton suite instruments i really need to start exploring them. you know way too much about ableton you should do a masterclass on synth design in ableton
honestly i just got surge a couple of days ago took one look at the wall of UI cycled through a few presets to see if i could figure out at least part of how it works then went back to vital i really should give it more of a chance it looks powerful @@ifiwantyoutofeel
Are you just being controversial brother? Because as far as what I've heard every single other person that teaches says serum is like the top for what it does of course. Arturia is the top for vintage. And then omnisphere and serum fight for the top of everything else right?
IMHO the external synths you buy put you in a mindset in making the sound entirely within the patch (for me personally), while when you use stock plugins you’re put in a mindset of using the entirety of ableton as a synth with all of its modulators and effects. Not that you can’t get cool sounds with serum and omni, they both have their upsides and downsides, but for beginners I highly recommend learning with what’s already available without spending money. Operator, Wavetable, Analog, Simpler, Sampler are extremely useful instruments that are overshadowed by plugins with fancy looking interfaces and entire markets for preset packs and universal use across daws. Need to make a full vid on this tbh bc i could talk about this forever
@@dnksaus Do ittt! I’m holding out on serum / omni things like that for as long as I can. I definitely fall into that category ur taking about, and I’m sure a lot of others do too. Cause I haven’t got all the crazy stuff but I’ve got enough to make me forget about the ableton stock stuff sometimes, like atm I’m on analog lab for presets and vital for making my own
