Cool video. I've a gel seat. I've done same. Years of sports bikes going like a idiot. I'm going to kick back, listen to my ipod over the cans. See the scenery. My mates got a slow cancer and rides slow and I normally ride with him, so this is ideal. Usually I leave him behind in the bends now and again, but I'm gearing down and chilling out from now on.
I have one sitting in the shed waiting to come out from winter hibernation. Bought it late late last fall and have only ridden it aprox 30 miles. Cannot WAIT to get it out. Should be any day now
i used to own the fz ur buddy was riding. good bike, great handling around corners(tweak d bike geometry a lil bit), great wind protection with givi tall screen, 280km/h top speed(akra slip-on) but the bike is heavy. Now i own a z1000 '08. great powerful high torque engine(gets a lil jerky sometimes between 3-4K rpm), top speed not as fast as the fz1, poor wind protection but now wit a puig windscreen i can juz duck behind it, seat padding r stiff both rider n pillion, handling are very twitchy giving the rider alot of bar shake when hitting bumps( i've tweak with the ride height now altering the bike geometry feels betta, less twitchy and will also turn quicker around corners), the handlebars are pretty wide from the factory(they knw the bike handling is a lil twitchy hence the wide bar for the rider to counter the bar shake) gets moderate ratings by bike reviews for the handling. rear suspension was rather very soft(im only 50kg but i hv to set the rear suspension to the hardess settings guess the spring stiffness is gone). but the z1000 is lighter than the fz1 though. Overall, the z1000 is more fun to ride, great looking, beautiful bike juz that the handling is the downside but that can be fix though.
When I bought the bike it was -1 in the front for better acceleration. On first chain change I changed back to stock gearing. I no longer have this bike though.
