Hey guys! It's been a while, in this video I give a little update about school and share the reason why I chose LMU over the other schools I got accepted to! Hope you guys enjoy! BE MY FRIEND Insta: @ohmymedlife5554 Music: YT
Your energy and spirit is so beautiful & genuine. I’m so happy that you are living your dream, even with all the ups & downs, and grateful your sharing your journey with us 🙏🏼🥰
Found your video while perusing RU-vid for more insight on the LMU DCOM SMP/ masters in biomedical science. I applied and did not think I was getting in at all, but did. So now I’m seriously considering it. Thanks for your insight!
Thank you for this video Omii, it was very well made and presented! I am an incoming first-year student to DCOM as well and am currently on my 2nd day of Anatomy Bootcamp (optional 3-week program before Orientation that helps provide an introduction to anatomy content). I was wondering if you also attended this program, and if so, would you say the pace/density of the Bootcamp is similar to the pace of actual lectures? If you did not attend this program, how would you compare the intensity/depth of studying for DCOM exams compared to the MCAT, as in comparing a typical day of studying for a DCOM exam with a day of studying for the MCAT? Also, I am a Korean and lived in Northern Virginia all of my life, where there is a very diverse demographic with a lot of Koreans as well. When I first moved to Harrogate TN a couple weeks ago, I noticed it was a much different demographic with predominantly whites and hardly any asians. In fact there are only 2 or 3 asians in my class. I noticed I had become very self-conscious due to this, and my pre-existing social anxiety spiked up as a result. Even when I am just at a gas station or grocery store, I always feel self-conscious and behave very awkwardly avoiding eye contact. As a fellow minority demographic at Harrogate, did you also feel any of this isolation or anxiety? What would you recommend to overcoming this anxiety?
Hii! So so sorry for the late reply! I was off of all my social media so I could focus on my board exam! First of all congrats on getting into DCOM! I know right now it might feel a tad lonely and you might feel out of place but I promise it gets better! Find yourself a good set of friends/study buddies! The sooner you get a good support system in the better your experience will be! Harrogate is a great small town with so much to offer and while you might be busy with school don’t miss out on all the cute shops, coffee cafes, and events that LMU puts on! Also feel free to reach out to me through Instagram on @ohmymedlife and we can talk more on there too! Good luck!
Hey! Im a OMS3 at DCOM (rotating in Louisville Ky). I don't remember Respiratory Cardo and Renal being as bad as the Heme, Neuro block so you are doing awesome! Especially If you have time to make these videos it sounds like you are doing great! Wild that they are going virtual after thanksgiving again. Are covid cases going up again?
Hey Clay! That’s awesome, I hope you’re enjoying Louisville! I posted this video when I was a second year student so I’m sure they’re back to in person now!
I would constantly check the Facebook housing page for Harrogate! And also post on the Facebook page! I know they have houses for rent in Harrogate and Middlesbrough as well, it just requires some digging to find them
This uni got accreditation issues as they are accepting ppl who 'DoNaTeD' money and more than 10% of the class is failing sorry that you could not get into a good uni!
