Hey Arif , I am into software (1.8 YOE) in India , I am planning to do MiM from UK but many people have advised against doing an MIM , they argue that it is a very generic course and warn that I will be spineless and confused after completing it , like it won’t set me up for any roles in management? Is this true ? I want to go into strategy /Product/ consulting will I be able to make the switch ?

I am currently in final year of my btech degree, I had few doubts about mim program, main doubt is that if I do mim from top institutes like yours and want to come back and work in India itself, I wanted to know if companies in india are accepting the mim degree as they accept mba one?, if no then how much is the difference?... Well from what I’ve seen at the present moment, both countries have decent jobs for international students but how its gonna be in 1-2 or 3 years is still a mystery.

There are lots of information on the web but the only route I would suggest you is talking to students who did MiM from the top schools around the world - LBS, ESSEC, HEC, ESCP, and so on. Ask them about their experience and if they were satisfied with their path or not. You can contact them all using LinkedIn

In canada mim is for 12 month and in us it is for 24 month am I correct?

It depends on the school. Some schools have it for 12, while some for 16 or 24 months. It doesn't necessarily depend on the country but yes the trend is 1-2 years in North America, 1 year in the UK and 2-3 years in Europe.

Every one has different needs. A person interested in marketing wouldn’t benefit from doing a specialisation in Finance and vice versa

Hi, I graduated in mechanical engineering but I'm still not working so I don't have work experience yet . I applied to a lot of universities in the UK for( MIM)and the USA ( Engineering management). I got into the university of Bristol for 1 year MIM course specialization in project management I am not sure if I should go for it cause I need an immediate job after graduation to payback my education loan. Yes but be mindful of the schools you apply to. Not every school generate consulting graduates. I’d recommend LBS, INSEAD MiM for consulting.

1. I have 2 more trimesters left. 2. The salaries range is 40-60K Euros in France, Germany, and other places where students typically find jobs after MiM 3. You will get all information about double degrees and exchanges once you get into ESSEC. 4. It is quite subjective and there is no one right answer

Well, it depends on what's on the other side. If you feel your job is secure enough and that there's 0 chances of you getting fired then by all means continue that. From what I see, there are still good number jobs available in France, Germany and other countries for international students so doing an MiM according to me is still a good option
