Kat, another EE here (male) and you are describing my exact childhood!! Haha!! I had the same curiosities about radios, TVs, telephones, tape recorders, etc. In college I focused on analog and RF circuits and telecommunications. You can't beat having a career that's also your hobby! Great to see you promoting EE in your channel!! 👍
hiii miss Kat 🙂 all the technology was changed time by time ,, example .. radio , tv, vcr. tape recorder , dvd , then then ...... ,, but electrical was ,,is .. will same forever ... so your choise to being an electrical engineer is the correct choise ... hope for successfully career.....
Thank you for making a youtube!! Im currently a Computational Math major at UCLA and I've been interested in engineering fields for awhile now, youre making me more confident in what I truly want to do!
I’m brazilian. I have worked as a police officer since 1998. Three years ago I started an undergraduate course degree in electrical engineering with focus on eletronics. It is a fantastic course. I’m almost retired and I’m anxious to start a new carrier as an electrical engineer. Congratulations for this video! You have gained more one follower.
Hello Kat, Greeting from Ecuador, you are going to become an amazing inspiration for someone who wants to learn Electronics, I am looking forward to watching you frequently sharing new impressive videos since now I am a big fan!
I'm from Houston TX and when I was 5 I always wanted to work in space and I took a picture at school in astronaut suit but I never seen my kind in that industry so hearing this makes me proud!
I am sincerely happy you are doing this it’s super inspiring! I hope you keep it going, I am working on the journey to that part of the industry and this is so encouraging. Thanks so much!
Sound like you are following an excellent dream. I wish you all the best in that quest. I wanted the same when I left school in '81 but I followed a different path. I'm now an embedded Linux engineer who still loves electronic and has even worked for NASA in the past. Similar dream but vastly different journey, even to what I dreamt. Be well.
I have always liked electronics, they always excited me. I thought they were so clue. I liked what they were capable of doing. I wasn't able to tear them down cuz my sister would do that for me when we were young. I'm thinking about going straight into electrical engineering, but I feel like I don't belong or i dont have enough reasons or not passionate enough to go into it. In high school, i wanted and tried to make my own cell phone, but it didn't go far. Seeing your videos really give me hope that I can do it and that it's not so scary. I hope you continue making more electrical engineering videos because they are genuinely helpful and inspiring.
Hi! How is your journey going? I’d recommend joining a Robotics team if your school has one. Sometimes we need others around us and that’s okay! (: Definitely do not feel like you don’t belong, it is for anyone who is interested. Hope you’re well!
@@KatVoltage oh oops I guess I forgot to mention I actually did robotics in high school for 3 years (had to leave before senior year) Tbh I don’t really know what to do. I’ve a lot of experience with stuff like engineering because my school made it one of the required classes to graduate. I thought about going into electrical engineering but I’m afraid of the coding classes and jobs requiring it. I’m not the greatest at it, tbh. In one hand I feel it’s just something I’m just gonna have to drop, but another where I feel I’d waste my experience not going into it
Interesting your history that I think is a good idea help people to know about electrical enginnering, Im industrial engineer im 45 years old im a teacher the las year i wanted study electrical engineer, here in Mexico, only that it was late to enroll, now im not sure if this year maybe because im an old man, and i would like to study biotecnology at. distance university, i dont know for the moment.
Me motivó escucharte.
Did you also do masters or research in electronics? I'm also into this stuff like you and am trying for masters and research. Can you please suggest and help me what speialisation would be good (for both job opportunities and more of field like job types).
hey friend, I am *currently* an electrical engineering major in community college. My college wants me to go from calculus 1-3 then to linear algebra and differential equations. Although I still struggle in math, I got better. If you want to go the electrical engineering route, then I would say find someone who you're comfortable with and learn from them. On youtube, there's Nancy Pi who explains well. There's also Khan Academy. And Yes, mathematics is very require. You have to take phyics as well, which also requires math so it's interconnected. Don't let this discourage you, it may seem a lot, but just take your time.
