Why I disappeared…Living in a Jeep during Late Spring 🌷

Loui I don’t think you have to have all these earth shaking happenings, it’s just nice seeing you as you go through your journey.

Loui, you are special to me. You don't have to be doing anything spectacular. Just being able to "hangout" with you and William is a joy to this elderly, old lady shut-in who rarely gets to go anywhere but to a doctor's office. I really enjoy watching you and seeing all of the amazing places that you share.❤ I have missed you so much!!!

Take it from a 59 year old, you don't have to figure out your life just because society expects it. If you want to great but you don't have to. Living in joy is the best focus of any life, everything else will fall into place with it. ❤

I completely understand your amazing relationship with William. I did years of back country adventures in my Chevy Blazer with my dog Freddy. He passed away in December at age 14. We had 13 yrs of canoeing, camping and off roading together. I also had to alter my adventures to accommodate his age, but he was loving the mountains right up to his last days. Another awesome video!❤

I am so happy to see a video from you. You definitely don’t have to show every aspect of your life. You need to enjoy the moment and not have to worry about filming all the time. I am just happy to see whatever you can share

Happy Belated Birthday Loui. Hi sweet William. Bless your heart about your knee. Loui thank you for taking such great care of William. And oh my gosh LOUI I say the same things too about my fur babies, "I birthed them" and don't ever call them "DOGS", they are "the kids" lol. My eldest boy is 15.5 now and coming near to the end of his life and it's killing me. I've loved ALL of my boys fiercely but this boy is a tad bit extra because he was my husbands service and he was what we both shared and loved together. Losing him is like losing the very last of my husband. Ok enough of that. Loui I'm glad you are able to know when it's time to turn the camera off for "you time". That's a healthy way to live. Never apologize for that. We adore Simon and Rocko and so happy we found you and William through them. Take care darling. Keep you and Willam safe.

I admit pit bulls make me nervous, but William has always been the most chill, sweet dog ever.😊

You definitely need a healthy balance between living your life and what you decide to share with your community. I'm glad to see you out with Simon, as I think your friendship with Simon is worth its weight in gold. Lastly you should get a "Joolca" portable shower that runs off propane so you can get a hot shower. All you really need is a good clean stream yo throw the hose in and outdoor hot shower it is. Safe travels!!

Dogs are so loving faithful,and the very best company I love them to death.❤

My 11 yr old dog ,(with Williams build), had her L knee replaced 2 years ago and is having her R knee replaced in 1 week. The recovery is very tedious but she felt SO much better after the surgery (-; I dread this next surgery but know it's the right choice for her!

He is hurting and needy now. Just love him.

Our dog has completely tore his CCL. Goes in for surgery in a few days. I’d also try those hip and joint chews to help slow the development of arthritis. Hopefully William feels better soon!

Simon is a beast hiking and climbing if you can hang with him you’re tough as they get. Hope William is with you for many more years. Good Journeys

I have a pit as well, and they are wonderful. My Brooke has the same issues, my one suggestion to you is to NOT let him jump in/out of your jeep. I know it's a pain, but after seeing Brooke, I too had to make that decision. I have a ramp that folds in half while in storage and others have foldable stairs. I know that it takes up extra space, but I think it's well worth the effort. Good luck!

You and William are so Beautiful. You brought tears to my eyes. Im so blessed to have my fur Baby Teddy. I have 2 children and 6 grandkids but they don't live really close. My daughter-in-law got Teddy a miniature poodle for me. Everyday he waits on me to get home from work. My husband and I treat him like he's a baby. William and you are so lucky to have each other. Your such a Blessing to watch.

I drove the dumpster last summer as a solo female. I took extra gas but did not need it….filled up whenever I got the chance. People said a flat tire was guaranteed but I did not have one. The ranger told me speed was a major factor so I took it slow and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Yukon is beautiful…can’t wait to see your video. Have fun…your vehicle is built for roads like that one.

That was a beautiful meadow, and FyI these lush areas are very easily damaged by human disturbance, like being driven on, trampled, etc. Travel lightly please and enjoy while leaving no trace.

So good to see you have a friend in Simon. Glad someone checks in with you occasionally and that you check in with him. When I was first watching his channel I wondered what would happen if he had a problem when he goes to such desolate and amazing places. I will not be rude and ask you any personal questions. Looking forward to seeing your journey to the arctic. Most of us aren’t looking for amazing every day but your scenery and how you learn about the places and the culture of the people is way more than enough. Please be careful. I have a lab with a torn acl/ccl and it’s so hard. We have been through stem cell therapy and he was better but now he injured it further and we are back to rest and recovery. It’s hard. Best of luck to you and William❤

I am so happy to see your video today. I so wish I could be out just for one day in Canada seeing the beautiful scenery that you have seen and taken in. I am homebound can’t go out into this world. I can understand how much your love for William is. I have a service animal named knucklehead and he’s the same breed as your William. I don’t get to go out in the community at all, I am in Texas. I am not far from Pala Duro Canyon. I really thank you and your traveling friend would really like it for hiking. There’s a lot to see.

I'm so excited that you got to go out fishing in a kayak! I'm really cheering for you as you continue to pick up the fishing skills. There is so much to know. I'm sure you'll do what is needed so that William continues to enjoy a good comfortable life with "just right" adventures for an older fella. RE: the trip to Tuk...Don't underestimate the mosquitos and biting flies. You've got to have a hat with a net that tucks into your clothes. And finding shade and coolness for sleeping on days with 24 hours of daylight will be challenging.

Hey Loui! Cant wait to see your version of the Tuk trip! I did it last year in my Kia soul! I lucked out with zero flats and didnt have a gas issue despite carrying an extra 15L! I SOOOO want to go back and do my whole trip over again at a MUCH slower pace! Have a blast!!

Looks like you found the hut at Confederation Lake....one of my favorite on the SCT....my fave part of the trail is from Inland Lake , up to Confederation Lake , down to Fiddlehead and upto Tinhat mountain hut ...Tin Hat has the best views on trail ...360 degrees of lakes, mountains and ocean....hopefully you enjoyed our beautiful neck of the woods ...

A lot of people give their dogs as do I Glucosamine and Chondroitin for those joints. Ask the vet about it if he is not already on it. No prescription needed.

I'm glad you are back. I had a sweet Shiba Inu ChowChow mix that tore both of her rear CCLs one after the other about a year apart. Our vet drid a repair surgery that helped wonderfully. But it's always hard to see your fur baby in pain. I hope William heals quickly. All the best to everyone.

I was about to say get on the water with your dog then saw the pack raft!! My dog and I have been from coast to coast to coast etc and we used to run 10 mile trail runs together, do multi-day backpacking trips etc but he is 13.5yrs old now. I made the adjustment from travel on foot to canoe adventures with him. He and I spent over 100 nights camping last summer that included a 28 night unsupported canoe trip! He uses a ramp to get into my Jeep now, it took him a while to be cool with it but all is good now :-) This season he wants to stay up later than I do beside the fire. Have a look at the Canol rd either before or after the Dempster, it is fantastic in that area. Happy travels!

It was scary and took some time to heal (~4months from surgery to leaping for snowballs), but three years later she’s a strong hiker and no more knee issues. Sounds like William’s is only partially torn, but I wanted to share that even in ~worst case scenario~ the surgery works really well. And for the joints, fish oil gel vitamins and Cosequin (glucosamine tablets) are a tasty treat and help keep the joints lubricated. And some galliprant prescribed from your vet to help with inflammation for the big hike days. Thank you again for sharing 🩵 wishing you lots of love and luck on your summer journey

try giving him oily fish a few times a week . I give mine tuna in sunflower oil really helps with dogs as they get older.

You should do rain videos, when it rains a lot. I love watching those videos at night. Especially the ones where people don't speak. They just show the surrounding nature accompanied by the lovely sound of the rain.

I’m very sorry to hear about your dog. I hope things improve. It’s nice that you can go fishing and then your dog can rest and relax.

I'm happy that your break was self imposed and that nothing bad happened! Take breaks like that whenever you need, but also know that you don't have to be doing something special (like driving to the arctic) for us to find it entertaining. In addition, don't worry about the special things not being 'original' - everything has been done before, but not by you, and that touch of you is why we are all here :) Besides that, as someone who lives quite high up north, I completely get how much easier life feels when it's bright! I always miss my bedtime now because I just want to be up and do things and enjoy nature. This year in July I'm also traveling further up, so we'll both get our first midnight sun! Exciting! PS, cuddly William is adorable!

Oh no William tore his ACL. I hope it was not as bad of a tear as my RubyDoo's ACL tear. She tore it first few days in Feb. She just now stopping to limp. I could not afford the opperation so we doing the natural way. I cant wait till she not limping at all. I figure another month at least. We did a video on it on Pawsuasive Dog Teaching and hope you show us some love in return. Love your videos especially since you have William :)

Clover my soul baby she's watching over me now but she did do both her acl's and needed ops on both legs but definitely look in to nutrition and omega 3 fish oil and mushroom supplements too also read in another comment someone says glucosamine and that definitely works. My mums German shepherd was told at 2yrs young he had arthritis he's has that everyday he's now 7 and can't even tell he's has it. Beautiful puppers

Despite there being things to complain about, youre an inspiration when it comes to being greatful. Thank you! As much as I complain about my apartment here downtown and want to live the van life, im pretty lucky to have it and the price and location and all the amenities, the weather... if you ever want to try the "city life" let me know ill trade you my plac for your jeep straight up for a few weeks or months or whatever. Im half joking but sort of am dieing to get out and explore more ive been stuck in the city too long and curretnyl saving up for a vehicle to get out there. Thats another thing , vehicles and their prices, have me discouraged too, gas prices... our cheapest ev costs 40k, thast the average salary in Canada, meanwhile in China, the cheapest EV cost 32k of their money, which is only 1/4 of the avg salary. Seems like we get a worse deal here driving. Anyway if youre seriouse about going overseas China is pretty cool i hear, have you seen their sky highway? really impressive engineering, they're really high tech over there, we're starting to look like the backward ones heh but it would be interesteing to see it from a travellers perspective for sure.
