Hey man sorry for your loss . I never been in this type of situation with my life but it’s crazy how you left FedEx express because I left myself due to lack of hours I was getting and I wasn’t happy anymore. I started out as a AM driver then switched over to PM. they started to cut back the PM shift hours and I just had enough. I could go on and on about FedEx express. Yeah it was super easy but stressful at times. I would come into work and there would never be any trucks for me to use. This drove me insane so I basically had to wait 2-3 hours just to get a truck to start my on road duty. I do miss the job and funny thing is I went to Amazon myself lol but it didn’t work out for me because my DSP Was very rude so I never came back. Currently looking to start my own business man. You should do the same .
Those were some of the big reasons I left. I don’t understand how a company so big can be unorganized in every manner. Nice hope it works out for you. I’ve thought of starting a junk removal business.
My condolences and I’m in my 30’s now and still just kinda figured out what I may want to do. Also wanted to thank you and all the delivery drivers for all you do. Fellow Texan here, God bless.
Wow so sorry to hear about the loss of your brother!!!! I work at Amazon at a delivery station as a package handler. The job is easy but u just have a hard time picking up the shifts so it hard to really make money. I’m looking for something full time with good benefits!!
my eyes started tearing up. my older brother nearly passed due to covid 2 years ago. i basically had to fight to see him in the hospital and to be there for him. my brother went through many cprs it was very heart breaking knowing i lost him several times. my brother did barely make it, but it still tears me up knowing how it couldve been if i had lost him. I know the feeling brother.
FedEx became easy for me as well, especially the route that I'm still in. Also, I am so sorry about your brother. Losing a loved one is never the easiest. Hope you're doing okay.
The only problem with fedex express is that most positions are part time..and now that they lost USPS contract hours are short..i work at the airport and my days sometimes can be as short as 3 1/2 hrs
Delivery driving part-time is what frustrates everyone. Not enough hours. After a year of 28 hrs/week, I applied for full-time and got it. Now I'm making a living wage and I'm happy. My back isn't happy, but it is what it is.
Amazon was so much easier to deliver for then fedex ground in my opinion. The gps for Amazon was very impressive. Not perfect, but compared to fedex it was better. The way fedex organized was terrible. Amazon was not perfect, like any job. FedEx would be better if only they reduced the routes for the size of the packages needed to be delivered, and the pick ups. At Amazon 9 times out of 10 of you had to pick up it was the same locker you delivered too. Amazon had the group stops that can get out of hand, and the AI camera. I did it for 3 years at Amazon. One thing for sure is that you only have one body, and you got to take care of it. Jobs come and go, but you will always need your back, legs and knees. That’s why I would stick with Amazon over FedEx. It’s all 3rd party jobs so it’s really dependent on your contractor and routes. If I ever had to go back to this line of work it would be Amazon and a friend that works with that specific dsp to tell me if it’s worth it. Thanks for the videos to show the world the truth. I’m sorry for your loss. God bless your little brother.
I've been an Amazon delivery driver for 1 year now, thinking about switching to FedEX, ive heard they can pay up to $26-27 an hour. Id like to hear your thoughts on that Sorry about your little brother, may God bless you & strengthen you & your family. Jesus is the way brother.☝️ Blessings! 🙏
Sorry about your brother he was soo soo young ☹ bruh I lost my dad last year to bone cancer my mom is kinda lonely after 65 years together but I bug her everyday and help her out whatever she needs you will heal I am still at fed ex for 7 years now the summer is so rough but i am grinding it everyday.
@@Dollsteak69 hey, I really need some help. I am in the process of starting work for FedEx, today was my first day on the truck training, but my background and my DOT physical and drug test are not completed yet, if I have a misdemeanor, will they terminate me ? I know I can pass the drug test in the DOT physical but they have me working currently I’m pretty nervous that was my background that they will let me go, what do you think? Please let me know.
@@Jboogadawgg Depends on the misdemeanor is. I've known convicted sex offenders get hired but it was considered "Cultural" because of his Filipino ancestry. If you were up front about it that's the best you can do. With the way things are at the company I would look elsewhere. What Express has done recently is hire someone and stagnate the wages. After 3 years most bail because there is no real pay increase.
I have an interview tomorrow. To be a driver for FedEx Express. However I have been considering driving for Amazon instead. Amazon does not drug test. I live in Washington State where weed is legal. I like the idea of working for FedEx, however I don't like having to fake a pee test. It's one thing to fake a pre-employment drug test. It's much harder to anticipate random drug tests on the job. Something I've heard FedEx is notorious for.
