I love that dog park story, you're the dog whisperer! so much of our insecurities transfer onto animals, even people, if you have a mentor, you may adapt their own quirks.

When people hate you for no reason.

I understand their motivation. I feel sure they dont understand mine. Treat me like shit because you want me to bend to your will just means I will be polite and professional. Yet as far as im concerned a person like that is just a child and I need not pay attention to them ever.

I'm kinda the same way, but for some reason it's delayed. Few people are shitheads to me right off the bat. Usually it's after we get to know each other that someone will do something that I can't forget. People tell me I shouldn't carry a grudge. It's not like I hate them for burning me, but I definitely don't trust them like I used to. A lot of people wouldn't be such assholes if so many others weren't so forgiving that there's little to lose in misbehaving.
@bikemessenger7
@bikemessenger7 Год назад
Im kinda Indifferent to misbehaving. I had a girlfriend cheat on me. accused me of cheating on her. I asked "wait a minute. i'm not cheating on you. are you cheating on me?" and she was so surprised she said "um, yes" and I said "oh, well are we breaking up? going to therapy? what's your Idea here?" then she said "you dont have a jealous bone in your body do you?" and I said something like "not really, also I just didnt expect much from you and this didnt surprise me in any way" so she admitted to cheating then had the gaul to be super angry about my response. I just accept people for how they act. she never acted like someone with amazing integrity so I was not surprised when it turned out she didnt. I dont expect much from strangers so when they act like jerks I just think "these people are jerks" and just keep on keeping one. It took me a long time to realize that my girlfriend wanted to fight to keep her from hanging out with her ex, or her ex's best friend. she secretly met both of them and I found out about it both times. just said "thats kinda odd behavior, I bet you anything if you found out I was secretly seeing my ex you would freak the F out". It also took me a long time to realize that the guys hazing me wanted me to stand up for myself and join them. Instead im like "I have no intention of ever helping you guys act like children and I will never like anyone who treats others bad as policy EVER. Not ever. I wont even feel lonely. I will just not like every single person I work thing. then I will go home, get paid.

@@bikemessenger7 Were they hazing or just tasing? A little teasing is fun, but hazing can get out of control. When I tease someone, I'm trying to get them to laugh (and maybe tease me back if that's their style). No one expects a hazing victim to laugh, but they are sometimes expected to get even.

Carhartt bibs!
@bikemessenger7
@bikemessenger7 Год назад
I own every thickness that carhartt sells. the summer weight is like a windbreaker. to zero degree that's like getting into a sleeping bag. I bought the winter weight jacket that I never washed so it was stiff as a board. I could take it off and lean it against a wall and it would not slump to the ground.

@@bikemessenger7 I do have one of the jackets, I went cheap on my bibs and bought a knock-off brand and the zipper broke after less than a year. I still use it, luckily it also has buttons.

@@bikemessenger7 I don't think so. My pair is getting worn out, they're a bit small on me so it's my wife who wears them .

People want you to be a version of themselves. Here in WA, there are so many cliques of people who basically act and look the same. Insanity lol. I have to have my own sense of individuality and identity. Don't like how I trim or groom my beard/hair? Ok, be you. My clothing style and shoes aren't to your fashion standards? Ok, be you. Lol sorry for the rant, hope all is well.

I mainly use your videos as background noise while I do actually important stuff. That’s what your content is to me: worthless fodder. What do think of that? P.S.: Malt liquor!

Watching your videos for years. I can say that you overthink / care too much about interacting with people, and stonewall relationships with people as a result, because you are terrified of 1. not being in control 2. abandonment 3. getting hurt somehow. This prob goes way way way back to when Earl was a youngster. When you mentioned an absent father, it made a lot of sense. Fathers bolster masculinity to toughen up offspring in a unpredictable world.
@bikemessenger7
@bikemessenger7 Год назад
oh it definitely goes back to my childhood. thats why I mention it in this video. Im not terrified of, or afraid of lack of control or abandonment, or being hurt. To me thats part of life and each relationship I have had those things played a major factor. not in how I treated others but that I end up connected to people who abandon me, leave me with no place to live, and deeply hurt by betrayal. this is part programing from a "difficult" childhood to how my attachment styles formed. it also probably made me attractive to certain types of personalities. the kind that take advantage as well as make your worst nightmares come true as a form of revenge for my trusting and loving them so much when I should have used more critical thinking. Ive been in three relationships when my girlfriends cheated on me and instantly made me homeless until I could find a place to rent. my parents kicked me out because I was 5 min late coming home from bible study. My furniture had water stains on it for years because that fist night all my possessions were out in the rain. I do over think of course, as you would when your only protection is learning and remembering as opposed to being raised in a way that gives you good instincts.
@bikemessenger7
@bikemessenger7 Год назад
I should mention that I was 17 when they kicked me out and still in highschool. No one in my school and even heard of a homeless teen before. the church I went to offered to help me and so did my friends parents, I worked full time and went to school. did volunteer work on me "free" time. I learned that the people you love can turn on you for no reason. thats why I have lived alone for 20 years.
