Sorry Cautty but you've drank the coolaid on this one, you can't say the raid is easy, and then proceed to call for agressive gatekeeping at 80+ flowers. This is supposed to be the launching point for t4: a transition point for a new gear level while (supposedly) welcoming a new batch of players and introducing them to the game with a large scale epic boss, that everyone can smack down together. Instead we have a boss which requires months of progression through highly difficult raids of a previous tier. I cannot overstate this is not how 95% of regular video game players function, and there's near zero chance they're going to start an account and proceed to slog through an absolute mountain of time and goldsink systems to reach.....the first raid of the new tier? SG has ceased caring about normies, because quite simply the money is with the extreme high spenders.
the standard of what? having six characters ready everytime a new content drop by doing RMT since day 1? or maybe having friends quitting and giving gems? a little bit of shot fired this time even for you cauttyh. the x10 clear title should be disabled to equip. until 10 factual week of the actual new content have passed. The single reclear achiv/title is enough gatekeeping. 1 reclear not enough for you? because you wanna be sure they did not buy it? at that point just build a static. for real people want to much guaranteed of not wasting time in this game, but i'm afraid that even with a full Eclipse holder lobby x100 you going to waste time sooner or later. at some point as game dev you have to balanced out what's best for the health of the game decision. gatekeeping the entire community every new content with this fomo BS x10 or make the 5% whales / hardcore players that can do x10 week 2 more happy that he can bunker itself with other elite ppl x10 "so he don't waste time"
Completely disagree with the "this raid is too easy". This is what normal difficulty raids should be like, especially because this raid is intentionally meant to be an easier raid before the difficulty ramps back up. For example the difficulty difference of normal Voldis versus normal Thaemine.
I dare the sweaty no-lifers to play in normal pugs with lobbies that have on average 1622 characters with trans 7 chest/pants and maybe 2-3 lvl 9 gems. Not to mention where the average player plays "only" 3-4 hours a day instead of you and your sweaty friends who play 5-10 hours/day, with "alt" lobbies full of people with lvl 10 gems. Just try it out before t4 reaches so you remember to not automatically have the urge to post everywhere in online forums that its easy.
Bruh the raid is piss easy, i just think the expectation we was that any rat 1620 with no investment can clear which is not the case. Granted with the T4 ilvl and scaling boost this issue will resolve itself so any lil timmy with no hands can finally clear the raid.
Its overtuned af. Finally managed to convince my friends to play this game bc they saw this big dragon. Now they have to wait prolly quarter of a year before they can do it. Thankfully throne is out, now no one has to play loa anymore
Like you said, it's hard to not do decent dps as long as you have good gear. It's actually the thing that I like the least about the raid. It's very hard to outshine others with lower gear. I'd do like 1.5x someone's dmg in Echidna, and the same dmg as that person in behemoth.
lost ark vykas release - community hard gatekeeping begins - game starts nose diving, behemoth release community still hard gatekeeping me who said this would kill the game while being laughed at that it wouldn't. Laughs at 13k-19k average players....
Yeah this ain't it. It's an easy raid for sure. Even the troglodytes that say NM raids shouldn't be too easy accept it's easy. But it has points that are a big hurdle for newer or less skilled players like clunky tornado knockup oneshot, the awful wave pattern that eat up deaths left and right and wing dps check requiring a good bit of transcendence. If it's generally accepted as an easy raid, why not ease the pain points that hold it back from being a good raid? It could be a fun, field boss level dummy with big numbers that brings the community together, but players dying to cheese shit like that still makes people gatekeep. This isn't gonna make new players wanna reach T4 and keep playing.
My dream is that t4 ilvl jump + lvl 70 will make up some of the transcendence damage difference. Hopefully, the higher pug min dps will make grouping up extremely chill.
you know I really did hate behemoth first week. progs were so weak, and even I had only lvl 3 trans. could not even clear g1 first week. but it's so true when you said behemoth was a wake up call to finally prog thaemine and get my trans levels done. that was a hell hole and a half, but luckily ratted into a behemoth reclear party and uprighted my first g2 clear, died once.
when personal high standard start to hurt or go too much in contrast with the majority of a community is where a good leader, in this case a good dev, would draw the line. unless they want to end with their head in a pike like history told, or in this case game dying in number and closing (in the west at least)
Man, the IQ of the hype monkeys these days is at an all-time low. I'm sure the competition from Throne and Liberty, a game published by *checks notes* AMAZON GAMES, will really breed competition for AMAZON GAMES.
