I got a bunch of leads after twelve midnight where I got charged for the lead and was asleep. They beat me. I got one job and that one lead really cost me 2K.
what's your experience with them? In my case they refused to give me back credit for tasks I didn't even offer. The mobile app glitched and said I only offer 1 Service, meanwhile I kept getting leads for a completely different Service after I unpaused my leads. FLOODED with leads that weren't for me.
We are with them for years and unfortunately we finally smarten up and drop them after paying for 20 leads and get one good one we wasted thousands of dollars with those companies. I wish all these contractors out there with smarten up and drop them and they would go out of business cause they do not care about their customer.
I'm just here for the Allister. 🤣 We've had bad experiences with both. The leads we got were the impossible customers ("X can do it cheaper. Can you beat that?") or leads that were out of our service area. None of it was even kinda simple. We ended up getting rid of them after about 6-8 months. It just wasn't worth it. It's one of those things that seems like a good idea, but I'd equate it to doing jobs for the box stores. The other end was (we're not 24/7) we'd get into the office, and call them back to schedule, and get "oh X already fixed it". I think old school advertising and social media ads are the better way to play it. That and always give your customers business cards and put a sticker on the door. Word of mouth is excellent advertising.
All the lead generators are Terrible. Only one that I actually had good success on was thumbtack. Easier to land the job in my experience. Home warranty companies have been doing me great, getting my trailer out the into neighborhoods and still get jobs at a discounted price. Keeps the schedule filled in.
We used to be with both companies and unfortunately they screwed us on both platforms. We even had to pay an early termination fee for Angie ads because our manager would not call us back for months and had us under the wrong service category and we were getting tree removal leads when we’re in excavation company, now they advertising our business without our consent on their networks even though we’ve asked multiple times not to be on them
Great video! My experience with both companies have been practically identical. In this world of the Uber business model it's no longer about people but algorithms. That's why we try to be personable as possible and trust that people will still want to deal with people.
I be paid $288.00 membership, and cancelled in next 5 days. They said they will never refund the membership and will charge me leads ave never done work for.
Home advisor was bought by Angie's. Its all in one now. Its a nightmare! You gotta really know how they operate and its preposterous. I use them but it takes mastery to not get scammed. Reach out to me. They should get sued

I laugh so hard at these videos, i'm one of the assholes calling you all on phones. They pay us $60k-$150k a year, the commission is fantastical. Angi is great for good business' and terrible for bad business'. Let me tell you the truth.. leads are sent to multiple contractors as always, it is up to those contractors to pickup the phone and close the sale. You are supposed to have competition, thats what makes it fair to the customer it allows them to choose who they want instead of just one person. Some leads are trash because they are autogenerated when people enter random info into the website just to see how it works. All you need to do if that happens is contact Angis and they will look at it then credit you. Im not sure why so many contractors think that a lead is only ever sent to them? That is impossible to work, contractors are not always on the ball at responding
That’s not the point of the video u obviously missed the whole concept instead u jus went on about how leads are generated but instead of taking this mans experience n jus admitting to the fact that angi lost or home advisor whatever is a scam cause like you said people type in info to see if it works what’s about the people who does fill the app out to look for work ?? Then when those jobs come they are not guaranteed because six other contractors got the same lead but at the same time your fighting over that lead if y did need it so what happens to the leads that are not expected do they get recycled or what ? That’s what u forgot
@@Chris-bz9pg there isnt just one number, each sales person has their own unique number and we can optionally change it to a random one as well. So if I call and you dont pick up, I just click a button and call from a new number. But hey, if you just buy we'll stop calling...for awhile
Complete BS! I often get trash leads where the phone number doesn't work, customers won't return calls or messages, or the work was already completed or the customer is no longer interested in completing the work. Angi only allows 2 credits per month and then automatically denies all after that and refuses to credit the rest. Only about 2 out of 10 leads ever pan out! Complete trash!
So, then, what is your process checklist for membership and verification of skill and experience ...if I was ANGI (home advisor) I would set it up for no doubt* and make my customers loyal for referral $ ...my working members would have a check box (to be clicked or not if available) ...I would choose the 1-3 closest to the job and send details and known problems and suggestions to them ...the one who accepted and confirmed would immediately get busy with me as his monitor (Camera confirm???) for first time customers I would give a deep discount to get loyalty and referral interest (10%) ...bottom line ...both sides are members with money on the line ...building a reputation (reviews & bonuses) the company would get 20 % of the ticket ...and the customer would get a 50% off coupon to give to a friend in need...IMHO:> to compete properly you have to make money for everyone #WORKSMARTNOTHARD
