Why I Hate Omen (A Paladins Rant Video)

the one time ive seen a 16 minute rant and havent considered it yapping

omg i got a shoutout in an xstbe video holy crap i'm freaking out 🥵💦 You bring up a very good point about his passive though. I've complained about the bloated kit since day 1, but I failed to consider just how useless branding this bloat as a "passive" really is. After all, if it's up 100% of the time because that's just how Omen is played, then why make the passive at all? Why not just make the grip inherently apply burn, the gourd inherently apply slow, etc.? It would help the bloat a lot if the passive was axed and the abilities got some (though not all) of their special effects put into base kit. It would also make him much easier to balance, and they'd likely be able to make more interesting and dynamic talents as a result.

It’s almost like they don’t know why and how this game works on a fundamental level and their design philosophy towards characters and balance is proof of this. It’s ALMOST like that.

This is a really damn good video. Here's hoping that Omen gets...fixed?

Heard the shrill laughter at the beginning and now, I can confidently say, as a certified JoJo Men enjoyer, this video is good. Real shit tho, this is a good vid, reminds me of Helvian's vids when he talked about balancing. Think you can do one about Koga and the sudden surge of Clawgas roaming the realm? Seriously I can't go a single game without an Adrenaline Clawga just showing up and Clawgaing all over the realm.

The concept of making jenos as a dps was a fun idea but was delivered poorly.

not familiar w your channel, but im a big fan of this sort of video especially in the paladins circle as it reminds me of gem channels that focus on completely diff games (i.e. grtr4sh w smash). good work, & the pts notes do look promising! still gotta remove that passive tho lol

ngl I am fine with characters I play getting critisized for being bad/dysfuntional because it draws attention to them. which means it is more likely for them to receive buffs/fixes in the future^^ it has happened in the past and I hope it happens to omen. I still think he is very fun to play btw

I've said that Omen is so gosh dang irrelevant he makes Vivian look like a main character. His design is cool objectively, but he looks like a mini-boss in a D&D game. Plus we didn't need ANOTHER abyss champ after we just had the QUEEN of the Abyss come out. I think bloated is a better root word than inconsistent tbh
