Quality.. This would be a major crime in the doll community, however In the future, I want to experiment in reborning. So when I start, my intention is to buy cheap kits and sell my work as dolls for children to play with. So I have a four year old, and she is just getting into dolls. So, in my opinion, a doll for a child is a doll that will get heavily played with. Why would I buy authentic kits when my initial intention is to practice, perfect my artwork, then hopefully move up, and buy real kits. Does this make me a bad person?? I do not think so.. If it takes off and I master the craft, this is when I would invest in authentic kits and sell to adult doll collectors.. I do not believe I should get judged if, for a start i choose to buy fake kits..

What are you filling the limbs with? I found you a long while ago and fell in love with you and your wife! I’ve enjoyed seeing you and your ever changing collection throughout the years. You’re the reason I got into this hobby, never stop being you. It’s for the love of dolls.

I just started this hobby. I have collected dolls for years, but they are vintage Barbies. I restore vintage Barbies. I have bought 2 dolls so far, one pre-owned expensive one and one from Amazon. I am watching some tutorials and I am going to take my Amazon one and add more weight, a heart beat, a baby smell, and put new zip ties that allow a little more freedom of movement for the limbs. There is no way, I would try this on the expensive one, lol! I think you are cool, all dolls should matter! (Also, improving the dolls for me will be part of the fun.)
