People often get to the point where they need top decide whether or not to continue at their current jobs, or move on to something new. Whether it's a toxic work environment, not enough pay, or anything else in between, there are lots of reasons why leaving your current work could be beneficial. In my case, I talk about why I left my software engineering job, even though I was getting paid very substantially right out of school. It was the best decision for me and I'd probably make it again and again.

I graduated in 2008 and it was exactly this. Jobs will start becoming scarce. Pick a company that gives you good vibes and isn’t so susceptible to economic downturn. I also left a great job because it was mentally unhealthy and I was black listed in that industry. I had to make a lot of changes. Good luck.

KJ you got this! You’ve grown so much it feels like yesterday with your MIT videos. I’m over 40 and I have none of the skill sets that you have, but I do have a little experience out here in this world. My dude be careful there are no feelings in business your health is on you. These companies will suck you dry. All will be well for you. I worry for you young people y’all stressing yourselves out in these streets and these people just using you for your brain power. You already won the battle just be you and do you. Can’t wait to see what’s next for you! May God continue to keep you and guide you.

I am going through the same. I left my PhD at Texas Tech to pursue a job at NASA. However, I am not happy here. I plan on going back to finish it. It made me so happy and I miss the collaboration amoung people with my same interest. I love your videos. You’re so inspiring. I hope you feel better. Do what makes you happy and use your skills and talents.

You are a unique person and people in this category are few so, not meant to fit into most organisations but be rest assured that God will lead you in a right path. I totally resonate with the statement that sometimes, it gets really tough to apply the same piece of advice that one would usually provide others in one's own personal life. I am going through some hurdles as well: I moved to an entirely new Country, that to to a city that I have no famlly or friends in. The challenges that I am facing here has certainly stressed me out. Now, I am grateful that I came across this video on your channel right around the time when I was looking for some sort of clarity that would help me de-stress. @KJ Hardict you are an absolute champ even on the low you still have the opportunity of killing it. I am incredibly excited to see where you go and to follow your new chapter. Perhaps you can set up a Patreon when you begin launching your app series. There is also scope for podcasting just a few ideas so much opportunitiy. You have changed and even reoriented the directions of so many in your community. As a black man from Africa watching your series back in te MIT days planted a seed of someday going to Cambridge. I was never aware there were already so many people of colour and it was more like a 4-minute mile thing it is possible. You will be alright - keep on crushing it your success is your youtube community's success and it pushes many people forward.

I was at the rock bottom, failed in many subjects and thought to gave up on engineering but then I came across your channel and your videos inspired me to push myself. Market is very dynamic. Now, we facing “technical recession”. It is important to diversify incomes. So yes, finance is very interesting! Although in multiple cities we have faced difficulties when being hired, the key is to keep investing instead of just saving. Many gurus showing off in social media about crypto is very boring. Data and facts will be very appreciated! I know you are a science guy so don’t hesitate to share your experience and own analysis. Keep strong! 🧠

The tech world is full of people that over value themselves and have become so complacent how lucky they all are for making such good money without having to work 80+ hours a week doing labor work to make the same amount of money as a web developer making the same amount setting at desk working only 40 hours a week. People are going to be in shock when they realize they can’t find jobs for 3/4 of they pay they use to make. By the way not hating on the guy on the video, but people think they are special and that this is going to last forever, web development jobs has been good for the past 15-20 years as far as pay and how easy it is to get jobs, so people are over valuing themselves and almost come off as cocky. Anyways, my point is the next 2 years shit is gonna get bad

Well, 150k average salary for average developer in even not big companies. Means u never reached a point where your knowledge paid well. Stress that i had is inside your head. Goal to work in a big company is not good, they treat us like slaves. Smaller companies give more freedom. Now you changed normal remote job to earn money from ads in here, which is pitty. Stocks? Seriously? If u r developer then develop for yourself and scale.
