Yeah, Masterduel's propensity to keep these FTKs bots alive is a nuisance. Though the current format featuring a puppet FTK is also uber shit for allowing it to be a thing in paper.
@@JetJoestar atleast they werent ftk, otk i am ok with ftk is just stupid also new yugioh is way to much deck searching for stuff you go true 80% of your deck in like the first turn just searching stuff and setting up the combo its like playing solitaire lmao
This is equivalent to fighting your school bully as he grabs your arms and makes you hit yourself with them. Then the school principal gives you detention for being the only one with blood on your hands.
If I was a kid playing yugioh with a friend, and they were verbally explaining this happening to me, I would have assumed he was not only cheating, but also lying to me. And I also probably wouldn’t want to hang out with them anymore
But modern yugioh has the simple stages of grief. You simply skip every stage and go straight to acceptance. Accept that you have a skill issue and move on
What a completely misinformed comment. FTKs were a thing almost 20 years ago and probably even more consistent as well back then before they actually banned cards.
@@clownie1313 no because going second could be an advantage if they don’t have a stupidly strong deck but sometimes it’s better to go first if you have summoning cards in your hand and some people may not even know how to use their decks Take me for example I have a deck that has pendulum, xyz, fusion, and synchro monsters but I haven’t really learned how to use it yet
@@EarthSpirit.easyzdota There’s an OTK were you special summon Numeron Dragon and activate its effect to give it 13000 atk. Then on your opps turn you activate a trap card that sacrifices it for and increases your LP FOR same amount of ATK points. Within the same chain you summon Manipulater of souls and cause your opps to lose the same amount of life points. It’s the dirtiest OTK in the game when you don’t see it coming
@@AlvinChipmoi thank you! That was way simper than I expected lol. I assume it isnt the most consistent strat since you need 3 exact cards like summoning half of exodia
@@AlvinChipmoi reminds me of an old hand trap nuke deck I ran, could one turn from the opening hand but generally it was a 2 turn thing if I wanted to play the combo. For the sake of playing the game and having fun I almost never used the combo and instead opted for my galaxy deck
@@EarthSpirit.easyzdota no actually you need one monster and a trap and the rest are just combo pieces... Every otk deck is like this, cyber stein ftks work the same
so this the shit my friend, that i got to play master duel, went through during his first week. this caused him to find heroic champions: a spark if u may. this allows him to make a 60k big fuck bastard, aint shit i can do bout that. i still remember him tellin me “bro, this guy gained 13k LP, then when it was my turn to draw…he did 13k direct damage” it was at that moment i knew i needed to find a tier list cuz ik its gonna hit me before i realize. for instance, just recently faced off against runnik deck for the first time and i was pissed off, like royally pissed💀😂😂 wild that master duel has so much shit that a new player will experience a crazy moment that a regular player has not yet
this was literally me when i played yugioh a couple days ago. Like bro how is it my turn but you're doing way more summoning than me. i just quit the match when i see those decks like how is that even fun?
Some madman just sykkuno'd sykkuno 😂. Probably its that point in his anime arc when he's beaten for the first time and goes on a training arc to become unbelievably strong
Nah that costs money in this game. If there’s one thing Sykkuno cares about more than winning, it’s not spending money lol. Even if he’s a multimillionaire and it’s tax deductible
“It’s my turn😭” “I didn’t even get to play the game” and the “and I got demoted” bro your just starting to realize my pain as someone who doesn’t play META😂😂
I feel this, I literally just played against an Exodia Mill Deck, after 10+ minutes of waiting for him on turn 1, I just surrendered because he still hadn't gotten an Exodia win and I didn't feel like waiting another 10+ minutes for him to not get it.
Funny because in Magic, these types of turn 1 combos are the old school era decks. Now most games last at least 3-4 turns in modern. Or 5+ turns in pioneer / standard.
These types of ftk decks are insanely incosistent and fragile, they only exist in master duel for being so simple a literal bot runs it to farm gems, and the only reason he lost is because his deck is not meta relevant, not saying that's wrong of him, but if he wants to play a game with crazy shennanigans he has to play a deck with carda that can stop the crazy shennanigans, most tiered decks can handle ftks just fine
To try to sum it up they gained the Life points of one his monsters attack (the 13000 attack one) the the other monster deals your opponent damage equal to the life points they gained (13000) so it install killed him
Me when i downloaded master duel 3 days ago (i had quit the game when xyz where starting to be a thing), yesterday i got owned by this deck and started to question my life and existence
I FEEL YOU! MY GUY ALL THIS TIME I WAS "oh I played yugioh when I was a child I should be able to play decently" but no the game turned from a turn base battle game to My turn then my turn them ill do this then ill get my turn again...
I can barely bring out my synchros or anything against these oh its my turn i summon something opponent starts blasting away on MY turn like dude its the first turn too
Numeron Dragon can detach to gain a bunch of ATK. Destruct Potion destroys your monster to gain LP equal to its ATK. If you gain LP, Number 43 deals damage to your opponent equal to the amount you gained.
@@m.greenfield6328 what was the 1st trap the guy activated? and he didnt have a 2nd trap when he ended his turn, so how did destruct potion get on field
@@funkykick02 That was Trap Trick. It's a trap card that banishes a Normal Trap from your deck to set a second copy of the banished Trap from your deck to your field. The card set by Trap Trick can be activated that turn, but for the rest of the turn, the player activating Trap Trick can only activate 1 more Trap Card. basically, it's a trap that searches other traps as long as you're running more than one of what you're searching, and is being run so they had another way to search Destruct Potion and kill Sykkuno as fast as possible.
I’m sorry 😅 number 43 effect - 3 Level 2 DARK monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 "Number" monster in your Graveyard; equip that target to this card. While equipped with a "Number" card, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. Once per turn, when you gain LP (except during the Damage Step): You can make this card gain an equal amount of ATK, also inflict that much damage to your opponent if this card is still face-up on the field. In short, heal for 13,000 burn for 13,000, also add 13,000 atk to that guy
@@overthemoon34 yeah there's plenty of other entirely consistent decks that do basically the same thing that should lead you to never playing modern yugioh
@@overthemoon34 I can't. I dropped yugioh at Zoodiac because the idea of another tier 0 format was annoying and only went back to try master duel for a bit before realizing that the game was even worse than when I quit. It's just who can make an unbreakable board first or who can make the game as miserable as possible for the opponent first.
@@overthemoon34 maybe so but how many decks made after 2015 are one turn kills i know they were around prior but not as often or common takes a lot of fun out of the game if you dont get a turn or dont have the perfect first hand to counter your opponents first turn
“is it my turn?” I empathize with you so much in that statement sykkuno , I used to play yu-gi-oh so much as a kid , when I got back into it in highschool and went to tournaments I realized the game was no longer the same. People milling through half their decks turn 1 taking 7 mins to read paragraphs over and over ….. 😂
@@cristianovogt5586 no it's not, it's not that at all, you're confusing 'old decks' with 'playground decks' old decks are insanely toxic and unbalanced, literally all the strongest cards ever printed we're from the first two years, the amount of draw spells, non once per turn effects and hand rips are unreal, all ftks there were hyper consistent with minimal chances to fail, search goat exodia ftk or magical scientist ftk, they are simply insane, people act like old Yugioh was good but they confuse the top 1% hyper meta modern yugioh with yugioh you played at recess as a child, modern casual games are just as fun, in my opinion, much more than the old school vanilla monsters one, it usually lasts 5 to 10 turns and the plot twists are from actual strategy instead of pure luck from card draws, don't get blinded by nostalgia, yugioh was always a game for unhinged prople since day 1.
Oh no FTKs have been in the game since the first set, back in the day it was the magical scientist FTK or Yata locking your opponent out of drawing cards
I faced pretty much the exact same OTK deck in a fucking event where you're supposed to use one of the three event decks. Dude literally spent 10 minutes (with all the animations it was actually longer than the turn timer), fucking decked out, had that monster at 55000 points, and then hit me for 55k. He could have fucking stopped when it was at 8k, but chose to waste my time anyway.
Something like this happens to me. I had wait like 10 minutes while my opponent was just summoning and sending cards the graveyard. In the time it took for home to end their turn I made a bowl of popcorn.
No no, this is very Modern Yugioh. If it's not this, it's a 15 minute turn where your opponent drops half their Extra Deck on the board and runs through 3/4 of their Main Deck setting a board of "Go Fuck Yourself" Monsters and then dares you to even look at the cards in your hand so they can tell you "No" when you try and play anything.
@@slenderman4788 At least old Yu-Gi-Oh don't have a bunch of meta card that you will surely seen in all those deck. For example, 40cards, but you need to add 3 ash, 3 MaxC, 3 Infinite Imper, 3 lightning Strom and 2 Psy gamma and a Psy frame driver to counter other people who use these cards as well. Or else you will get abused by the hand traps and meta cards. And with all these 15 cards in every type of deck, technically your deck only left 25 spaces for other cards. Not to mention the extra deck as well, people spamming the same combo and abusing cards effect that let you spamming summon, and ends up with 5 different negate on the board and make your opponent quit Yu-Gi-Oh forever.
@@slenderman4788 And this is the reason why Konami ban and nerf some card in the adventurer deck. Because people abuse the system and spamming link summon.
@@Roy_1341 Oh, I forgot, Pot of Greed, Graceful Charity, Mirror Force, Premature Burial, Delinquent Duo and many more were only "good choices" and not must-plays. And the 3 Ash, 3 Maxx C and cbtgs you can thank a format with Maxx C for. Because in the TCG for example they don't see play everywhere right now.
So you enjoy your opponent going pot of greed into graceful charity into delinquent duo without being able to interact with it just because they drew it? Ok, sure. Go right ahead.
@@slenderman4788 Yeah, drawing cards is so much worse than flipping a trap and winning without any way to counter it unless you were lucky enough to draw ash.
@@MrJobocan You realize that this is a bo1 format, were inconsistent FTKs like that can thrive because of its no-sidedeck nature. Also, drawing cards nowadays is one of the best effects nowadays, given how powerful single cards can be in some instances. Even back then it was broken in the form of staple draw spells. Besides, I love being handripped for two without "any sort of counter" on turn one in goat format.
"Did you just summon a bunch of monsters during my turn?" "Yeah, so?" "That's against the rules, isn't it?" "Screw the rules! I have your life points!"
Not even gonna lie, that is an interesting FTK, I've always seen Numeron Dragon used to OTK, but the fact that it was used to burn for a Manipulator Of Souls FTK is actually nuts
