Grimsby are a top club with top fans, who are passionate. This is written by an AFC Bournemouth fan. Not long ago we beat Grimsby to stay in the football league. But now look at the gap between the two clubs. Anything is possible 🍒
My favourite memory of Grimsby town is Bournemouth 2 - 1 Grimsby town! (2008/2009) (Kept the cherries up, since then we have gone from league two to prem) Great football club you are Grimsby! (Bournemouth fan)
Weird but great day. Both sets of fans celebrating at the end. We lost but stayed up as well. Hot, sunny day, well nice place for going on the lash pre game Bournemouth. How things change !
Grimsby Town fans were fantastic when we played them at Wembley last season. They didn't really shut up until they missed a penalty. Hope to see you in the football league soon. ~Bristol Rovers Fan, Gashead
classic away trip .loved going Grimsby my team Stockport has had a massive fall from grace like Grimsby. hopefully one day in the not to distant future we will play each other back in the football leauge.
lived in cleethorpes for 15 years all my life right next to blundell park, all you can hear is cheering and the atmosphere every game is so amazing better than any bpl teams ground i think
Yeah I know it's cause we used to be a decent team but now we r playin non league and probably have the best ground when I went 2 Scunthorpe vs Grimsby in the fa cup it was still better then theirs
As a Bournemouth fan, seeing us beat Grimsby to stay in the league and now we are in the premier league it's unbelievable. I didn't think Grimsby was the worst place. I thought it was Blackpool personally
+Ellis Atkinson bollocks mate, I own a few Stoney's, a few other 'casual' items and I don't consider myself a 'hooligan' or even a casual. It's not about what you wear, it's about how you conduct yourself. Wear a hoody and a pair of tracksuit bottoms, and conduct yourself in a decent manner not everyone wil lthink you're a roadman... Just don't act like a tit and nobody will treat you that way...
Good luck in the play-offs Grimsby, look forward to welcoming you back to the Football League. We won at Wembley 2 years ago, still buzzing from it now.
Awesome video guys! Love seeing those smaller clubs getting recognition. Would love for you guys to come to Victoria, Canada so I can show you my club Victoria Highlanders FC of the USL PDL and the long history of football here in Victoria (over 100 years of support)
Even as a Scunny fan who hates Grimsby nice to see people who share the same passion for something as you, football. It's a beautiful old game football! #UTI Hate Grimsby, still got to respect this video
I think there's something special about supporting a team like Grimsby/Plymouth/Swindon etc a town with 1 club that's been in the league system. Something you simply can't feel when you support a London team, or live in a town with a non-league club with poor support. I support a London team as I'm originally from that part of London, but I live in a town with a non-league club with poor support.
Is it possible to buy tickets at the stadium itself for non-English people? I love the proper English football experience, not the bullshit of the Premier League with the stands full of asian tourists.
Of course mate, call it "pay on the gate" for lower league games like Grimsby 96% of the time you can turn up before kick off and just buy tickets there
Grimsby seems to be a forgotten town. Once cheap flights to sunnier climes became popular the likes of Blackpool and Grimsby nosedived. Images of old tired, worn out grimy places with okish beaches for 2mths of the year. Sad but true.
Hmm. That's a point (in reference to the childhood pic in a Man U shirt). I think I had a Liverpool footie shirt when I was younger. I'm from Norfolk. I don't even like football. How did that happen? I'm 34 now and I've still never even been to Liverpool. I do remember for a few years liking Liverpool just because of their away kit, which had dark emerald green and white. Maybe some black, I dunno. I think another reason I liked them was simply that they weren't Man U. Though I think the shirt I had was just white. I dunno where it came from or why. I only remember wearing it once. Or maybe I imagined the whole thing.
