En tant que mère d'une petite fille ça me tient d'autant plus à coeur qu'elle grandisse en voyant qu'une femme adulte a des poils, que c'est normal et que ca n'a rien de honteux.. les corps imberbes sont prépubères. Et ça en dit long sur la sexualisation des très jeunes filles et l'infantilisation des femmes dans la société actuelle, à mon humble avis. Bref, merci, merci pour cette vidéo pleine de bon sens. ❤

Amazing video ! But I'd still like to see someone talking about "real" body hair (not saying that yours isn't real) but I'd like to see exposure for women/afab with really hairy bodies. A video about thoses who wax their sideburns/chins/necks, those with hairy arms, hairy bellies, hair lowerbacks, hairy assholes... Your video was of course very helpful but it is often hard to relate to somebody who has little to no body hair, with a "blonde" type of hair... How you get what I mean, and I love your channel !

I still can't figure out if I 'prefer' hairless bodys because of social norms or because I truly like it (probably not, and yet.. I find it very difficult to distance myself from this). Comme beaucoup d'hommes (tous?), j'ai bien trop souvent agi et réfléchi comme un enfoiré, par confort, conformisme et sentiment de supériorité (un vrai mec quoi!) du coup, je suis de plus en plus révolté par les réaction et commentaires de tous ces pauvres types qui s'arrogent le droit de définir le niveau d'acceptabilité d'un corps qui ne leur appartient pas. Et je te rejoins aussi sur le côté limite malsain que sous-tend l'attirance pour l'épilation intégrale. Il y a peut-être un rapport avec ce fantasme de la ''jeune vierge'' qui, il me semble, nourris surtout un désir de domination par effraction du corps de l'autre. Bref, à mes confrères de genre j'ai juste envie de dire: - Fermez la! - Écoutez! - Corrigez vous!

I don't shave my body anymore since some months. Actually, I never really do that regularly. I was doing it very very rarely since I was ~ 18 (now 21). And now, I think it's ridiculus to blame people, mostly women because it's "masculin", "dirty" and "ugly". How can we think it "normal" to heart ourselves, how can we be so unconscious and insensitive even with our tears ( yeah because my tears went down sometime when I used wax). I can't anymore. The only part I shave for the moment is my face( above my mouth and between my brows). ps: dsl pr mon anglais x) j'essaie, j'essaie.

I love you and the way you talk! The way you presented this is so on point! I stopped shaving my armpits last year and stopped shaving my legs above the knees. I love the hair in these areas and love my pubic hair too ☺️ I still shave my legs below my knees maybe once a month bc the hair there is darker and I’m still getting used to it :) I’ll probably become comfortable enough to stop shaving my legs completely soon enough. That’s honestly so beautiful:) this has inspired me to stop shaving and caring what people think. Just think, back then, woman didn’t shave at all and it wasn’t as big of a deal as we make it today. I want to be natural and feel good in my own natural body. It’s doesn’t even look weird or anything it is beautiful:)

Amazing, amazing, AMAZING video! The more I see body hair on women the more I want to do the same. I still struggle to show my body hair to other people that my family and boyfriend, but I really want to get to that point of not caring about what others think. It's so nasty and horrible that we are shamed for what we really are, all that for consumerism and to restrict women's power. As you said, we spend so much time focusing on "beauty" when we could focus on emancipation ourselves and being as powerful as we can be. But what you are doing is fantastic. Personnellement, je me suis bien sûre rendue compte que la plupart des filles sont parfaitement épilées, maquillées, habillées, mais... vraiment, je n'ai jamais trouvé ça important pour moi même si ça l'était pour les autres, et sur ce point en tout cas, je m'en suis toujours foutue de ce qu'ils pouvaient en penser. Je m'épile quand même les aisselles disons une fois toutes les deux semaines voire une fois par mois, mais je n'accorde vraiment pas autant d'importance que ça à mon image physique. Donc ça m'étonne vraiment que tout le monde dise que c'est "la norme" car je n'ai jamais pensé comme ça... pour moi, ce n'est absolument pas naturel. Je m'épile, je me maquille uniquement quand j'en ressens le besoin, c'est tout.

I don't shave much mostly because it is so time consuming and I don't feel that it is very beneficial. People have told me that I am less likely to get a boyfriend if i don't shave, but I agree with you that I don't want to date any guys who would not take the time to know me just because my legs are hairy. So it takes less time for me and also weeds out the people I wouldn't want to date anyway. I want someone to like me for my mind and my heart and my personality not just my body

I think that you are allowed to shave or not to shave, that's your personal choice, and it doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman. But nobody is obligated to find your or mine body hair attractive

I have to admit, my legs had been hairy for months and I ran out of razors but I felt society's pressure for me to shave my legs. i do feel good after I shave them to wear my yoga pants but am I feeling good because nobody will harass me about my body hair? I dont know I usually feel so confident even going to the gym without shaving. I never shave my pits.

Most pressure to shave for women comes from another women (mother, sisters, friends, female coworkers, etc. Me as a men I love women with natural armpit hair. Congrats for the video!

Well I think there is much pressure on appearence within our modern society and of course peharps more on women than men... But still I think judging someone on his physical appearence should clearly be put into question

I have body hair and I totally agree with you about the whole thing. I last shaved my legs ten years ago when I went to a high school dance. I was still trimming my armpit hair occasionally when I started yoga five years ago because I was worried people would be judgmental at my yoga studio. Ha! I quickly stopped, it's so annoying and pokey growing back.

Aussi la sensation de liberté et "d'empouvoirement" dont tu parles est super intéressante.. pour ma part je ne la vie pas encore parce que je n'ose tout simplement pas encore sortir dehors pas épilée (mais le fais de plus en plus avec mon copain qui semble s'en foutre royalement, et ça m'aide du coup à m'en foutre) mais j'espère un jour l'expérimentée.. Pour l'instant j'en suis à l'étape où je trouve mon corps aussi beau poilu que pas poilu, notamment sous les bras.. et je pense que c'est parce que je vois de plus en plus de femmes qui ne s'épilent plus (dont toi sûrement et merci). Et je trouve ça très cool de ne plus juger constamment mon corps, ou de ne plus le dénigrer.. je l'aime naturellement. Et c'est un gain de temps énorme !! Je me concentre plus sur moi et mon bien être.. que sur mon paraître comme tu disais... Bref j'ai adoré ta vidéo et encore merci... c'est très inspirant et feel good!

I totally agree with you I find it much easier to leave my armpits than any other hair however I still end up shaving eventually especially if I know that area is going to be on show. I'd like to try leaving my armpits longer and just going for it. The legs I'm not sure. Don't think I could do that yet. I've left my leg hair for a good 4/5 days and still showed my legs ( and my hair grows very fast) but when it's sunny the hair is lighter so I can get away with it but when its thick and black 😬 not sure. I also agree with the pubic hair thing. I keep it trim but shaving it all off is weird and uncomfortable. It is far to child like and I find it creepy. I only done it a few times and decided it was far to strange and difficult to upkeep. I'm more of a summer shaver I guess. And my boyfriend really doesn't care. I have also had comments from men who say they like hair, even armpit and leg hair so just go for it girls! X

I just really want to thank you for this video. I'm 19 and I've never shaved, probably cause my parents were more open-minded and didn't really care about that kinda thing. When I realized I was the only girl who didn't shave and had hair it was weird and scary nevertheless. But fortunately I was "old enough", or just mature enough / open-minded enough to really think about it and ask myself: why should I now start doing this thing even though I have not felt the urge to do it until I realized everyone does? I knew it wouldn't be for myself because it has honestly never bothered me personally and I actually feel very comfortable with body hair. So I realized I wasn't gonna start shaving or anything because I knew it wouldn't be for myself. So much mooore to say. I have wanted to make a video about it too and will soon. But I think even if i feel comfortable this way, it's amazing and makes me feel incredibly happy and empowered whenever I see other women doing the same thing and talking about it like this, because it makes me feel like i'm not alone (cause I have actually never ever seen another woman/girl with body hair in my life besides my mom). Thank you for this complete video. I agree with all that you have said. I've just dare to wear shorts this summer and still, I was shaved. It was the FREEDOM. :D It's crazy to give complex to teenagers but as long as we will see pictures of women without hairs, we could not feel comfortable with it. And even if my mother tell me years ago to not care about it, I've just understood recently. Fortunately, we can see more and more people like you accepting their body. A woman body is a body WITH hairs and people should just accept it... ^_^

you look so good!! and you're just a wonderful person I'm still not confident enough to let all my hair grow although a lot of the time I forger to shave or wax and then notice while on the beach and get really eshamed. And I really hate it!! A few weeks ago I was walking in a dress and I hadn't shaved in a few days so my legs were a bit hairy, although the hairs are blonde and veryvery short. I was standing somewhere and I noticed some guys looking at me and kind of "secretly" pointing at my legs. And at that point I didn't even feel ashamed but just mad, why the fuck are they judging me?! it's rediculous! I really wanted to go up to them and start an argument but again: not confident enough.

J'ai ressenti la même chose l'été dernier, je suis vraiment "fière" de mes poils ne serait-ce que parce que ça a été assez long pour que j'arrête de me dire que je devais les enlever (alors que maintenant j'oublie même que j'ai des poils aux jambes quand je les montre si personne ne me le rappelle). Ce qui m'a aidé à trouver vraiment ça beau, c'est de voir plein de femmes poilues aux jambes et aux aisselles en manif et de voir que personne ne les jugeait et qu'elles étaient vraiment belles parce qu'elles dégageaient une forte confiance en elles. Je trouve que c'est vraiment bien que tu fasses une vidéo là-dessus car, comme tu le dis, plus les femmes auront d'autres femmes auxquelles s'identifier qui ne seront pas enfermées dans des normes de beauté, plus les femmes pourront se sentir bien dans leur corps. Donc merci pour ta vidéo :) Par contre ce que je n'ai pas arrêté de faire c'est m'épiler les sourcils et je me demandais ce que tu en penses. Personnellement je trouve ça moins important et je fais ça très rapidement, de temps en temps quand j'y pense, mais c'est quand même surement conditionné par les normes de beauté, puisque ça ne me dérange pas que les hommes ne le fassent pas...

I just started growing out my hair this summer because i was travelling and couldnt be bothered, now i kind of like it tbh, i still trim my under arms and down there when i feel like its too long and not comfortable for me but im getting used to being in public with it, it can be difficult not to be self conscious at times but its good to know somebody has had a similar experience!

I know right!!! I hate how female empowerment becomes so corporatized and people are like "I feel so empowered when I shave"... For me, I'm still not 100% comfortable with having hair, but I'm definitely not as anxious about it. I'm really glad to see this video!

As a guy who has a little more than average hair growth, I truly wish I had far less hair. At night I will occasionally slap my legs as I feel something crawling on my legs...but it's just my leg hairs somehow moving around. It annoys me to no end. As I've aged, I've noticed more hairs popping up all over the place. It's driving me nuts. If I don't do something about it, I fear I'll be mistaken for cousin It.
