I have pinarello F12 dura ace di2 “rim brake” with ENVE wheels and it is awesome. I am looking for a new bike, and I have decided to have an ENVE custom made bike which is made in the USA.
I genuinely believe the problems in the bike industry being overstocked right now is that all new bikes look basically the same. Yes the geometry is aero but theyre bulky, heavy and mundane. Even the di2/etap stuff while yes its an advancement... as a whole package you feel like youre riding an excercise bike outside.
I ride a SL6 Disc and an aluminium Allez 2015 Rim with Exalith Mavic. I love how easy to maintain my Allez is. But for long rides I love the comfort of my SL6. Most comfortable roadbike I have ever had….but of course more difficult to maintain and seat Post was a nightmare in the beginning. But now I will keep it
Harley! Just bought the Cat Eye mirror for my bike after watching this video and rode with it on my bike for the first time today. Its amazing! can't believe I haven't used one sooner.
when i ride past other cyclists my rim brake sl5 makes the newbies cringe and the oldies mouths drop wishing they didnt buy that 10k road bike with discs
hey durian rider, i know you've taken creatine in the past, and i've been thinking about starting to supplement it now in the off season to gain some strength, what do you think about creatine?
The real question is: is it worth getting a second mortgage for??????? Pretty sure you can get 3 insane good bikes for that kind of money!!! And The pinarello looks like an alixpress bike??? 😂😂😂😂 😂😂😂 That said, I love your videos man!
Don’t be in front of me in the bunch then 😂 I’ve lost count how many crashes I’ve seen from ‘experienced’ rapha Hubbards who cross a wheel and hit the tarmac. Sit behind where you and your best mate Dunning Kruger belong. ❤️😆✅
@@durianriders Well riders also crash when they attempt to drink or swallow a gel. And i heard there are even morons that crack the top tube of a new bike not racing with it 😭😉
Everyone knows Merida are the biggest shareholder of Specialized BUT....you dont know much about bike industry if you think Specialized frames, forks, bars, saddles etc are NOT made in China. Taiwan is where things are assembled 'made' and shipped from. Why? Less dumping tarifs and less international restrictions/taxes etc. How do I know this? I was sourcing my Pragma frames from the same OEM supplier as Specialized used for its Diverge and Tarmac frames in CHINA. Im also paid by a few Chinese brands out of Xaimen who have shown me photos from the factory floor and paint shop with Specialized, Trek and Giant top tier framesets all mixed together in the packing and lay up rooms. 10000% S-Works frames, forks, seat post, bars are made in China the last 14 years. Mostly out of Xaimen province. Still got doubts? Did you listen to the Rob G podcast he did with Cycling Maven about all of the above? It got taken down for some reason hehe. Noobs didnt like the truth!
Agree on disc vs rim, recently rode sl7 & supersix discs and compared to my f12 & sl2 both rim brake, they’re joke. Not sure about ‘sl8 has the most clout’, looks like every other road bike with discs. The bike has no clout at all 😂
Fair enough. I guess that’s why you bought it. If I had to drop 20k on a new road bike, I wonder what my choice would be.. it would have to be rim brake but which one?
Just the same content for last 10 videos about this bike. You could just publish a short and return the product back, no need in duplicating your words, that won't change anything.
Return a bike back?? I didn’t buy it from REI 😂 What’s the reason for return? It fell over and cracked? 2. You still watching so I will still make these vids. When I vid gets ZERO views I know nobody wants to see it. Until then..
@@durianriders don't you have 30 days to return product in Australia? I feel sorry about that. I often use this feature in my country. I don't watch all of your videos, because I do think you live in your own reality and quite frequently when you "talk facts" you don't provide any data/numbers behind them. You don't sell stuff on RU-vid like other bloggers 👍
Honestly it looks nice enough but I'd rather buy a nice custom ti bike for like 4k and ride it till i expire and keep the other 8k spend it on carbing the fuck up.
@angushulme7074 I have a couple real life friends that have tested this bike in the wind tunnel. Not doing 1 run of one bike and another without a power meter.
@@veganpotterthevegan well carry on drinking the cool aid... it is so blooming obvious that this bike is no different to every other climbing bike with a bit of aero... ie the new Bianchi specialissima. same big nose, same material shavings at the back... and same NOT AS AERO AS THE AERO MODELS... but hey if you believe in magic... happy days...
Nobody says that integrated cockpits are faster than a good fit. Most people can fit a bike with an integrated cockpit though. And if you're buying this bike, you probably know what your fit parameters already are.
@@veganpotterthevegan Integration is being pushed hard, even making its way into mid tier bikes. For the hardcore across bike fit to the mm that's fine. For the the remaining chumps integration is a poison and a chiropractors joy. Want to lend your bike to family member/friend/make a radical change to sizing during injury...that's a no. Resale...the chance of finding a buyer fitting both frame size and cockpit size...vanishingly small.
@timdixo it's a non issue for most people. As for letting people borrow a bike of mine(something I'm happy to do), I don't swap stems out. They're borrowing a bike, they're probably not doing a 200km ride. Just move the seatpost up or down and live with it. *Look at the price of used bikes. Integrated bikes aren't depreciating faster than non-integrated bikes outside of bikes with seatmasts which are few and far between and even less common than they were 10yrs ago
an yes theres a hundred different outlets prepared to sell yo a fitting , just like gait analysis for running different outcome for every visit ... @@veganpotterthevegan
