@@ZAPYard its all perspective and saying this as a big disadvantage is from code collaboration, devops , ci cd etc which is bit difficult unlike any other programing language. Also think about ide how easy for other language we don't have such like. We are creating abap transpiler. Offline development is a problem, we need abap server whereas we can simply code in replit for js , python isn't it cool?

Why bro, java to sap, there is lots of demand for java compared to sap

@@adityas.6000 Bro you are correct, but it has many framework in java , when you try to attend interview for java technology , they will ask from many subject or framework of java , which is difficult to give answer as well, because of this , it is better to change the technology ie I preferred sap, but i don't know which module is good for me, could you please help if you can,waiting for your reply.

What is the disadvantage @kunited? Can you please help understand. ABAP developers like one to one relation. Simple mapping. If there are "n" entries in the array the last index is "n". The do not need to do "n-1". We would like to hear the disadvantage. Team ZAPYard.

@@ZAPYard can you use git versioning? Can you use vim as an editor and run the code from there? It sounds like the code is solely being run and edited inside SAP

@@kunited9 - yes Git Versioning can be done. But SAP has it own versatile and robust version management within. ABAP is business application programming language, so it is tied closely with business data and SAP database. It can run in other editors like Eclipse etc. It can even run from Excel, but you need to have them connected to SAP. In order to move the code from Dev to QA to Production, we do not need to export/import snippet files or other files separately. SAP has Transport Management System which moves from one landscape to another with a click. No chance of missing any files stored locally. SAP ABAP may have many disadvantages, but Versioning and Transport Management is one of the best features. Team ZAPYard.

We agree that it is closed source but 90 percent for world's transaction move through SAP at one point or another. So, SAP definitely is a robust and by far the best ERP. They have a distant 2nd in the competition. They might be little boring by design as they are build for business applications but they are definitely not bogus. 😜😜
