Welcome to Project Africa! I’m cycling 13,000km across the African continent for about 12 months. If you think it’s a lot of time, what if I told you it’s been 7 years since I’ve been thinking about this project? I’m so excited to FINALLY take this leap of faith in exploring a continent that’s been fascinating to me for as long as I can remember. I feel there will be so much growth and many lessons to learn from this expedition, and so much positive impact and good videos to share :)

Have you heard about Kazmierz NOWAK - he crossed Africa on bike from North to South and BACK from 1931 to 1936! That was his route SOUTH: Start: listopad 1931 - Trypolis, Bengazi, Tobruk (Libia) → Kair (Egipt) → Chartum, Malakal (Sudan Anglo-Egipski) → Kongo Belgijskie → Elisabethville (Rodezja Północna) → Rodezja Południowa → Pretoria, Przylądek Igielny, meta: maj 1934 (Związek Południowej Afryki) That was his route NORTH: Start: maj 1934 - Przylądek Igielny, Kapsztad (Związek Południowej Afryki), Windhuk (Afryka Południowo-Zachodnia) → Angola → Leopoldville, Brazzaville (Kongo Belgijskie) → Fort Lamy (Francuska Afryka Równikowa) → Francuska Afryka Zachodnia → Algier, meta: listopad 1936 (Algieria).

This is so awesome I can relate to nearly all the points made in this video. I feel I’ve perpetually been in the explore phase despite almost completing my masters, having a house, all stuff that just feels like a hang up, it’s all been in the name of finding meaning. Hey buddy, this looks really amazing. I am very happy for you, because you are living the dream of many people. It is crazy that you are thinking about cycling across Africa for 7 years now and you finally manage to do it. Wish you all the best on your adventure. I know how it feels like, because I had quite a similar dream, which was to ride from where I live (Germany) to the most southern point of the European continent (Tarifa, Spain) and I have just finished my entire cycling trip. I just came across you today Rob! It is like a rock of truth is on my gut. It's love and light your whole journey through! That's what I witnessed in one of your videos. I'm really blown away by your journey and the commoradery you experienced along the way. Cycling was in my past, and I totally get what you said about the experience.
