My first wife wanted to keep the 3rd gen, manual 4runner I bought her a few months before she shacked up with another dude. In our divorce paperwork she had to pay me for it. I repo'd it when she stopped making payments and drove it for the next 6 or 7 years. Love the car and there was that occasional sense of satisfaction when driving it. 😂

It was just a matter of time before he sold that thing, seems like someone didn't get to keep it! 😂

The 6 liter VW W12 engine started in the Audi A8 in 2001 and the VW Phaeton in 2004. The Bentayga shell comes from the VW/Audi plant near Zwickau, Germany (from where the pre-war Auto Union race cars came). You love that car, please keep it.

The 2001 to 2002 Audi A8 D2 was the first car to ever be sold with the W12 engine. It was then used in the 1st generation VW Phaeton and then Bentley adopted it as their bespoke engine. Less than 1000 Audi D2 A8's were built using the engine and are very rare. Many probably don't exist anymore.

I saw a new Bentley Bentayga here in Australia the other day and it had L plates on it. Some lucky kid is learning to drive in their parents Bentley. And these are like $500k AU.

One of the reasons I dropped all my bimmers but my E31 (that currently has a procharged Toyota 1UZ 4.0L V8) is the community around tuning them is full of people that guard every single scrap of knowledge like it's a matter of life and death. It may be different now, but a few years ago when I was looking into it for an E46 all I got back was insults and bloated prices instead of any actual useful information. Meanwhile, I've never had issues with any of the JDM market guys. When I've been in Japan on photography jobs, I'd get invited out to the car meets and shops out in the sticks and everyone loved helping with everything.

There's a spot on the front of the cruise control stalk that you can push down to allow closer following. Just like a Q8, Q7, A7, A5, etc.

Hoovie's the man. Class. But remember boys, think twice before marrying a woman who wears super high heels during the daytime.

We used to make 600w lights for hydroponics outlets here in the U.K... Made thousands of them (funded my house with the profits). Sold at a premium over other 600w lights simply because they were 'made in the U.K'... So, what we did... We ordered all the parts from China, igniter, power supply, LEDs, casing, cables etc... Then we put them together in a shed (yep that good old fashioned English stereotype of men in sheds). Result was a totally shite 600w generic Chinese light but as it was made in the U.K there lay the premium selling point! Moral of this story is... Bentley. They do exactly the same thing! Then they wrap it up with some chicken wire for a grill, a few badges, and boyah! Add a 150k to the price... Then idiots buy them thinking they got a quality product made in the U.K. 😂🤣😂

My first car, 74 Gran Torino, had Crager mags from the factory. I know, because it was mom's car, that dad bought for her when it was brand new from the dealership. Car was still in the family until late 91. 😊

Cars only increase in value when enthusiasts want one. Enthusiasts don't want SUVs, so most will depreciate like crazy. Bentley as a whole means very little to collectors because they are so disconnected from its heritage.
