Hi Gabi, As a property manager myself, you could absolutely take this to court if you wanted to. There is something called "fair housing laws" please look it up. It prevents property managers form discriminating from anyone. Just the fact alone that they would not accept Niki and told her they need to postpone her move in is a lawsuit within itself. They are not allowed to deny anyone who qualifies based on other factors or opinions. I know you are not out for money, but this situation alone would bring a settlement and would really teach those ladies a lesson. Aside from the lawsuit, unless someone is staying at your place for 2 weeks or more, they do not need to sign a lease and are still considered a guest. You are not wrong! And leaving packages at the office is not a violation either.

This is the first time ever seeing your videos and I'm old enough to be your mother and I will say that the property manager was in the wrong. You gave her too much power. Don't do that, ever. It's a business, not a friendship. As long as you are abiding by the rules set in your lease and paying your rent on time, they legally can not evict you. I will say it's better that you didn't stay. I wouldn't want to live in that either. It seems she was jealous of you and that's a shame. I don't understand why some women get jealous of other women. We should be happy for the successes of each other. Also, get a PO Box so busy body people won't try to get in your business. Good luck!

Gabi: I’ve worked in leasing apartments just like these. Yes, maybe you shouldn’t have had the party, but you were incredibly apologetic and if I were Josephine/the leasing agents I would have been satisfied with your response. However, everything else was NOT YOUR FAULT. In fact, the leasing team broke several Fair Housing laws during the course of your stay that you can NOT ONLY sue the apt management company for, but you can also personally sue Josephine for. For one, they are NOT supposed to disclose any kind of demographics about anyone living or touring the apts to ANYONE, ESPECIALLY tenants. She disclosed the age and gender of the lady living below you AND she disclosed the fact that the person below you complained. That in itself it’s a sue-able offense. As silly as it seems, I believe it’s the law and she broke it. Secondly, they are discriminating against Niki living in the apts (“we should hold off her move-in”) simply because she is your sister/knows you. That is suuuuuuuuch a HUGE fair housing violation, it’s not even funny. Another sue-able offense. Good job Josephine... The packages (not sure if this is fair housing) are NOT YOUR FAULT. There is NO reason for her to get mad at you simply because you have packages. Terrible customer service. Also, just because there is garbage near your sisters car does NOT MEAN that SHE is the one who put the garbage there. Josephine has absolutely no proof that the garbage is niki’s. Unbelievable that this lady is citing this as one of the reasons she’s evicting you, that is grounds to sue as well. I’m sorry but no - just because you were using the box thing in the wall for the clown to crawl out of, is not grounds to evict. Yes, maybe a warning, but seriously I’ve had people do waaaaaaay worse stuff than that and not get evicted. We had someone try to break into my managers office to beat her up that she locked herself inside of because she was scared for her safety and even then she still had to go to the property lawyers to see if we could evict (we did finally after a YEAR of similar behavior...trust me guys I would replace that tenant in a heartbeat with gabi if I could lol). Seriously, what you did is not a big deal, and why is she even watching your vlogs anyways, creepy. But anyways, I could go on and on about the multiple violations Josephine broke that you could PERSONALLY sue her for as well as suing the property/the management company, but I suggest looking up Fair Housing laws and suing her ass. Contact the landlord and tenant board Gabi, this is harassment. I worked in building management and your landlord was completely in the wrong. For instance, the cigarettes, she can't accuse you for smoking in the building unless she she's you or someone doing it. She's completely breaching the line of privacy with you as the tenant. If I were you I would contact the head office of the building company because she could get into great trouble for what she's doing or has done. She CANNOT hold anything you do in your personal time against you. If she watched your vlogs that's her choice, as long as you're being respectful as a tenant and paying your rent on time, you're doing nothing wrong and she CANNOT hold what your doing in your vlogs against you. She's full on harassing you and you need to report her! You can use your email conversation to prove that you're trying as a tenant and that your landlord is not cooperating, please remember in tenant and building management, the tenant is always right . Also if they can't prove that your boyfriend and friends are staying over for a consecutive amount of days than they cannot force them to sign a lease. I don't know who this company is but they're definitely a shady company and you need to contact head office and landlord/tenant board !

She sounds like a low-key bully, she picks at you and makes you insecure but doesn’t make it obvious like other bullies does. She seems «kind» at first and still does for EVERYONE else but seems to throw mean comments only at you, my old neightbour was like that. She would watch what I and my sister did all the time but not our parents, she was mean to the kids or teenagers but kind to the adults so our parents didn’t believe us when we told them.

I just stumbled upon this by chance but..."Gabi needs to find another place to live" is not, NOT a legal eviction notice. Josephine may in fact be hoping you think it is so that she doesn't have to do it legally (as in follow the law regarding justification, notification and time allowance) but the fact remains that it is simply HER OPINION. I understand that you would prefer to just walk away and let her get away with forcing you out; because that is exactly what she has done but I implore you to rethink this and at the very least make her do it legally ...for the sake of others who may have to deal with her in the future. 1. Her watching your videos was a conflict of interest. 2. Because it's a conflict of interest, she's basically harassing you causing you mental anguish. (why you were having anxiety about going to get your mail, walking on egg shells, etc.) It's a form of also dealing with a narcissist. 3. All those women were SUPER unprofessional in the way it was handled & she doesn't need her position of power since she abuses it so easily. 4. Do not let anyone bully you out of your home. I have never seen this girls vlogs or main channel, so as a non-fan and a completely unbiased, the land lord is completely in the wrong. Invest in buying a house!! I just moved to a house this year after living in an apartment for a year and let me tell you even if you don't think you need a whole house just for you DO IT! Packages are delivered right to your door, no annoying landlords or management, anyone you want can live with you, there is so much more freedom and so much less stress! It is a great investment too down the road!
