Highly Recommend Tampa Bay,FL if you want the same vibe as LA. If you want more Humble community, I would highly recommend DFW, TX over Austin TX. I’m from Texas and me and my wife have the same plan. We go up to Michigan for summer and Fall, than we come back to DFW for winter and spring. - I hope the best for you in near Future

I have friends there (trying to get out) that don't feel safe.....I just hope Alex isn't following or trying to mimic Jose's journey.....he mentioned he isn't ready to be in small city, well, one has a lot of other options besides NYC. I use to love the Big Apple, but I will not be taking my family there anytime soon....cheers my friend.

I'm super glad you addressed some of the issues many people tend to brush under the rug constantly like the homelessness and lack of safety aswell. Not to mention the cost of living being absolutely ludicrous. I wanted to move to LA after high-school to pursue music and I'm so glad I didn't.

I understand getting that Groundhog Day feeling. It can happen anywhere with any career. Pre-pandemic, I worked downtown. I went places. I did things. When we began working from home (which has now become permanently remote), I leave my house for random errands and such, but spend a TON more time at home. I'm sort of stuck here for a few more years. Enjoy the change.

Everyone have new chapters in their lives, and just like me I'm gonna be moving to Dallas in the next 2 or 3 years for Trucking, and later Los Angeles working with my uncle in the Acting business since he already established in the business for over 10 years. I will eventually get a place NY, but Miami(South Beach, Aventura, biscayne will always have my heart for thr culture tho) I'm done with this place I need to leave the negative south Florida energy behind and start moving into areas that have many activities that I will eventually adore and meet people that have a open positive mindset.

this video made me sad but in a good way. It's crazy that your moving to New York and then Miami and probably not moving to LA again. I'm 20 now and I don't even live in US. It's been my dream to move to NY since I was 14 but as of now I can't even afford to move to another country. Can't wait to see what your life is gonna be like in NYC. Change is good no matter how bittersweet it may be. I moved around a lot; from my hometown in western France, to Dallas, then Tulsa, then Long Beach and finally Paris back in 2014. It was meant to be only for a year but I fell in love with the city. But after 7 years, like you, I had done it all, I was getting too comfortable and it had become a bit haunted too. I've just moved to Montreal and as heartbroken as I was to leave the most beautiful city in the world, it's also an opportunity to get away from the distractions, gather my thoughts, figure out a few things and focus 100% onto my goals. And I should say thanks too because I probably wouldn't have done it if it weren't for all your motivational talk.

Lived in LA from the age of 21 to the age of 54. It's a great city, but I literally should have left decades ago. The few big negatives just outweighed the many small positives.
