As someone who moved back in 2016, I feel like it's gotten worse lol! Don't get me wrong, I love being from Atlanta, but things has gotten overcrowded and too expensive. Also everytime you look up they building a new overpriced apartments.

I am leaving Los Angeles and going back to Atl, and I am very excited to move back. I became plant-based here, learned so much about myself and being alone, but I want to be closer to family and friends.

i'm born and raised in la, but i've been to almost every major city in the country and i've lived on the east coast and the south. couldn't wait to get back to cali. i felt most at home here. i imagine if you're not from a place, you don't really feel it's your home.

I moved out to the west coast in my 20s, it was so much fun & I'm glad I did it, but it wasn't home. After many more travels, I finally moved back to the east coast in January. The familiarity has been so good for me. I'm super excited to raise my daughter here. Safe travels!!!

I lived in Atlanta for 15 years. I'm now living in Africa. I'm loving it here. I also lived in California 2 years (Costa Mesa) I loved living in Cali, it was just too expensive.

@T T I'm 59 yrs old, lost my job two months ago and decided I didn't want to go back to work. I will take my nice little nest egg and live in Mexico for at least 6 months a yr. The cost of living is much more affordable and I can finally travel like I want to. I plan to visit every city I can in Mexico and enjoy the rest of my life.

We spent a year trying out California (San Francisco in our case) and moved back east too. It wasn't for us and I hated being so far from family. Good luck! You're going to love it. It's really hard to live in CA.

100% agree with this for a cross-country move! I would get estimates and check reviews, though. Our movers sucked (they did such a bad packing job), so for this next move, I am packing myself and just getting the movers for actual transport.

We ended up waiting a month for our stuff and also it was dropped off 3 hours away from us and I had to drive 3 hours to release it with my 11 month old baby. The other moving co was furious for me when I showed up with a baby on my back and covered in barf.

I don’t need to move anywhere because wherever I go there I am! I have always found my peace from within and I make my house “home” wherever I happen to live. I’ve had a rich, full life with almost no money but I know that do work for everyone.

Girl pay for packers. Packing with a toddler is a nightmare for everyone, just pack what you need for a few days, make the trip, and hang with family or do a mini vacation or whatever while the packers pack and move all your stuff. It’s so worth the cost.

Hi Have you visited San Diego? -- I'm curious as to whether you had the chance to explore other cities in CA before deciding on ATL. I'm from the East Coast but giving some serious thought to relocating to San Diego, but I've heard so many mixed opinions about CA in general that I'm still having some trouble deciding.

Yay! Congratulations on your move to Atlanta :) I grew up in Florida, but I’ve lived in Atlanta for the last 13 years, and this city feels like home for me. I’ve never lived on the west coast, but I visited my sister in Colorado before, and even though I thought it was cool, I was happy to come home to Atlanta. The east coast just feels like home. I feel like Atlanta is an amazing city, and I feel like it has so much to offer, but it’s cheaper than places like NYC and LA. I hope the move goes smoothly!

Good luck on the move! I moved from the east coast to Texas and i was very stressed even though i planned a year in advance. My only advice is to take packing breaks and ask for help when you feel overwhelmed. It will all work out in the end just take it day by day ☺️

Idk how I missed this video but I totally feel you on the moving out of Los Angeles. I’m from Rhode Island and been living in L.A. for almost 6 years now and it doesn’t feel like home for me STILL. I miss my Fam and my wasnt coast friends tbh. The connections I made here are really fair weather flakey. Nothing substantial except for a couple friends. But it’s different here in L.A. I’m here for my career but idk what will happen in the next coupe years

I just moved in November, and Atlanta was one of the cities on the short list. I really love Atlanta, but decided to move to Asheville, NC instead. There are so many great cities, it can be hard to choose! Edit: We have a similar build, and I do the same thing when wearing yoga pants. I wish I was a witch so I could zap the creeps!

I think it truly depends on the people you're trying to surround yourself with. I have the greatest of friends, highly intellectual & wise. I'm sorry you feel so lonely :( Many of my friends have been made through hanging at local coffee shops & getting to know locals

@@KaileeWalters I'm sure they are out here, but truthfully, the mindset is so different...and most are so sensitive. I'm very straightforward and strong in my opinions, and most are uncomfortable with this approach. It's like walking in cracked ice..I prefer to be myself and not try to fit in. I've been seeking for intellectual and wise people ...i did give up because it started to feel like a one way approach, but I will continue to search with a diff strategy...have any tips?

Good day I’m new to your channel. I didn’t hear about your daughters father going to ATL with you. I coparent with my daughter’s father. When my mom passed away I moved out of state back to hometown. Things didn’t work out with employer there and we came back here wa state. Wa state is a beautiful state purchased property here. My daughter’s father and her brothers niece and nephew are here is why I stayed. Long story short live where your daughter’s father lives. We don’t hear about sacrificing enough for our children. I was the idiot for not settling down with her father. Respectfully sharing. My employer relocated me from LA and saw your caption. There’s good and bad parts to LA. Family owns property there. I hear you about LA, and feeling like a long interlude!! I'm originally from NY, and it'll be almost 5yrs in LA, and I still haven't fully connected. I've met some good people, but the communication, way of connecting feels so foreign. Anyway, I don't follow consistently, but have popped in on your channel since your NY days. All the best to you and your family...Atlanta is a great city!! ;)

Atlanta is not the way to go, crime is horrible, traffic is bad. Vegan food is easy & accessible, that’s the only thing I’d miss.

I've lived here in the City of Angel's since I was 2. But I'd love to visit Georgia one day. You're such a beautiful and loving mom and wife. Congrats with your move. I was raised in LA. So I love it here maybe not as much as my home. MEXICO . Where we often vacay. Good luck and might I add I Love your videos!

I lived in L.A. for 3 yrs and being from the east coast, I totally understand how you feel, but when I think of ATL, I think of the voting rights that they are suppressing. Haven't decided where I'd want to be so I'll stay in Philadelphia...for now. Good luck to you and your family.

Yes! I’m a Chicagoan born and raised, a very very liberal (sometimes too liberal) town lol and I can’t imagine living in Georgia with the GOP nonsense. A lot of the southern cities: ATL, Austin Texas, Houston, etc have good bones (jobs food housing low costs) but if it weren’t for their political leaders, I’d move to ATL or Austin Texas in a heartbeat.

I enjoyed this video. I follow you on Instagram so I knew you were leaving L. A. for Atlanta. I loved your watching your NYC videos and while I liked the ones from L. A., it was definitely a different vibe (not in a bad way). I've had dreams of living in both cities and now I might just be happy living abroad again (leaving the U. S. for good). Anyway, I can't wait to watch your ATL videos. I think it would suck for me if I lived several years in a city but it seemed like one long "trip." Sometimes you just don't connect or vibe with the new place. I noticed the Berkey filter @ 8:39 and I was like "oh my gosh that's a Berkey lol." I just got one a little less than 2 months ago after wanting one for quite some time and I loved the filtered water I get from it and it's much better and more cost economical than my old Pur Water Filter pitcher. At 9:55, I saw that you have exact vacuum cleaner that I have as well lol.
