Public Google Sheet - docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1u1wRt7yEQUAjIzuJ6e3cuWfLupLqVhd-lPtGiE32UG4/edit?usp=sharing Keen to see who signs up to the challenge! - Aden
I did this a couple of years ago and it was very beneficial and I learnt a lot. It also taught me how to focus and get things done quickly without stressing over whether it was ready for release.
i am maybe a little bit late but i saw the video today and it inspired me to take action and join the challenge, i am not gonna release some music but more for the practice!!
I completed 53 songs in 2019 and released 6! I spent too much time on ideas and in December I sketched 15 songs and ONLY spent 100 minutes on each and this is my plan this year. Spend less time on more sketches and then I have more time to polish the good ideas. The more music I make the more shite I have to dig through BUT it keeps my mind fresh limiting time on sketches and I can finish music pretty fast and have practised that a lot. Personally I don't save hundreds of Cubase projects but I HARVEST them for parts and delete the project and move forward. Fucking lurve the Prodcast and have learned tonnes, thanks to everyone involved. Good luck humans. :)
Thank you Ed and EDMpro. I'm in. That's perfect to have a team challenge.... you convinced me to be SMART. Added my sheet. Let's do it and I hope to follow up....
I am having a blast doing this challenge right now! I don't know why, but I have done 5 tracks already and I literally cannot stop at all xD Gone a bit overboard isn't it? .-.
I won't be able to watch the whole vid atm cuz of work, so maybe this is mentioned in the video, but there is a subreddit called "Song a week" where people creates a song per week. Could be worth checking out for anyone who's considering jumpin on this :)
Hi Aden. What a wonderful idea. I thought the same thing back in September, and have been going ever since, and loving it. I'm on Week 19. This was before the days of your group, so I set up a website to upload my tracks. This gives me the opportunity to show some photography also, and to share my experiences of producing to such a timescale, and to share any learning I pick up along the way. I've updated your spreadsheet, and you can hear the results on www.onetrackperweek.com Thanks again, Toby.
Let’s do this! Gonna be a lot of trash...but who cares! Volume volume volume! Throw enough poo on the wall...some is bound to stick! (Referring only to myself of course!)
Would you guys recommend EDMProd Foundations Course for someone who works with FL Studio and wants to start producing TRANCE music, which is not included in the curriculum?
