I love the Tim Holtz Media Mat, but it just isn't working for me right now. Here's my new setup -- I'm trying something new. Let me know what you think. Do you prefer the TH Media Mat for videos, or this new setup? I'm genuinely curious, and I aim to please!

Totally agree about the little rubber legs on the Tim H Mat. I took all mine off.

I think your new mat is much nicer, and the paper background underneath is fun - you'll be able to change it if you want to match a season or a project

I like the clear mat! I have a glass desk which I love to create on but I cover it up for filming because of the reflection…I haven’t found a good solution so I live your idea! 🌸💕🌸

Thanks! I like the idea of a glass desk, but agree that the reflection is tough to avoid when taping.

Love the clear mat with the grid lines but not so keen on the timber panel look underneath. I'd prefer a non pattern ie block colour. I like the Tim Holtz white side when paints are used as it gives truer colour.

Good to know the feet come off; they usually do so with me on everything. It's why the universe invented felt to put on bottom. Or velcro, whatever you have. I need a big mat for centering, I always go crooked and if it were up to me I would probably mark a large piece of flooring but those are not heat resistant some birdy told me. No I dont test that myself I cant be trusted with heat or cutting stuff other than on my desk lol im told im somehwat of a danger zone lol

LOL - I hear you! My current mat isn’t heat resistant, which is a pain. I do appreciate that it doesn’t keep slipping around and wobbling, though.If you find the perfect mat, please let me know 😂

@@paperkraftd1 This mat is the Tonic studio's Glas Media mat. I watercolor and stamp a lot so for keep from worping and regular heat emboss it should work fine but have to check online for more info.

I'm probably a minority but I've never been a fan of the black mat. I never bought the black mat nor been tempted. Happy for those that like it but I'm not one of them. For me it's reflective, so distracting. It's black and I cant' see the inks etc that are on the mat where I can with a white or kraft colored surface. I'd get my next piece of cardstock all messy from leftovers. I don't love the glass. I've used a white glass catting mat and I know I've got a few nicks in it. Again distracting. And I'm back to using my craft mat on the white glass and a small self healing mat anyway. So your new mat is nicer.
