But people there own their houses and grow their own food, besides theres a lot of bartering there that don't count as income. So people in rural areas make 'less', bringing down the income of the whole province. But that's why you got these numbers, right? To make it seems like the wages of the people in the city is that low. Your may not been lying, but you're being dishonest. Why dont you bring the income for the CITY. When I first came to NYC from HK, enrolled in 9th grade and after taking the city Math test, I overheard teachers gossiping that I had college level in Math. I was self-studying in Math class with a given Geometry textbook for my Math teacher was busy with the regular Algebra lessons for average students and special arithmetic lessons for students from Puerto Rico. At the end of the school year, I was invited to a special award ceremony for outstanding students in NYC. Elementary and secondary education in NYC/US is focusing on having fun and progressing slowly. Geography is neglected in NYC/US education. This is why US can't compete in technology without foreign-born scientists and engineers.
