yo u gotta spice it up. more lows, more lows! db3, d2, d,df4. her grab game is absurd too. mix em up with df1,2>ss1. from that ur majorly plus on block, if you can learn ss1 canceling, ur options are endless, if u see them hitting after df1,2 finish the string for a counter hit. can opener is great but if u just use it out of neutral like that ur gonna get clapped.
Well tbh when you learn matchups you think like this anymore, thought king was op until I learned how to avoid his grabs and whenever people use the same strings I just punish them for it
I think kazuyas damage needs to be nerfed its too high since it last got buffed. Hwoarang needs less recovery after spamming attacks. A player should be able to power crush but sometimes its too slow like lilis. Bryans damage needs to be nerfed. I do feel as well some characters who have unblockable launchers or wall splats should the damaged nerfed. Bryan is a big one. Yoshis sword unblockable launcher is unfair when you wake up and you cant block that low. Lidias mechanic where she gets an unblockable attack should be nerfed damage wise or be more punishable if she misses. Also her mid option should be interuptable with a low poke. Not be jailed and its guarenteed. Has a weird freeze frame animation. Jin needs some damage nerfs and some moves to be more punishable. He is a lot better but a bit too strong now. Lili needs some buffs. Her damage should be higher. Some of her strings with cancels should he more rewarding in comparison to damage characters like dragonuv, feng, kazuya, jin etc. Lili is not there. She desperately needs her db4 snake edge sweep to be changed. Its 30 frames long and it sucks to much when you do a great set up and at the last second because its so slow people block it. Its so frustrating she hasnt had this fixed. Feng has a sweep which launches and its unseeable. Why cant lili and other players have it? Asuka needs to be nerfed. She is way more aggressive and the damage is too high. She should also get knockdowns only on counter hit. Not just given where she gets a follow up attack guarenteed especially from a low. Reinas strings where she spins and punches or kicks. Sometimes it doesnt give punishes. For example. When she spins lili can do her huge d34 handstand launcher but a lot of times online i go for it and i get hit by reina instead which is wrong. I labbed it offline and it works. So that needs to be changed. Theres more but tekken 8 is not balanced. And the fact they said they arent doing more character balancing is a bit dumb. As the game is not where it should be yet. And of course the ranked system is pure bs the way its run. The point system sucks. The tekken prowess matchmaking sucks. I just picked up lidia and im getting paired with people with tekken prowess levels of tekken god...like wtf? I just picked up lidia and tried her! And im going against top tier broken characters which sucks. Every character should have a seperate tekken prowess level based on their performance.
fyi lidia is fairly linear if you block her transitions are unsafe. jab or throw. side step more but i feel you man this game is about who can press first. im not even happy when i win cause i won from just doing things that make no sense im pressing all the buttons and my lowest stat is aggression and offense. that should tell you how many buttons they want you to press my highest stats are blocking fairness and some other useless stat
I mean, Lidia is a mix up stance character so it's gonna be hard to fight her if your playing against a good player. But most of her stuff you can side step. Also, one of the main reasons you keep losing I've noticed is that you poke too much and leave yourself open. And you press more when you get frustrated. Tekken 8 is my first 3d fighting game and lidia is my first character and i can tell you, I've won more games using moves that reset the flow of the match to neutral. Try watching your replays to look at proper punishes and also the mistakes you made as a player and you'll be good. Also watch Lydia players to see how they move so that you have a better understanding of the character. Last advice, give yourself a break, drink some water and wash the salt out of your system. A salty player is a bad player and a bad player makes bad moves.
Like, the bro is losing against Lidia, while using Nina 🙂 Personally I haven't lose to any Lidia so far. I fought a Tekken God rank one yesterday and I still won. She's not bad but she's not OP either. But who knows, maybe than can change. She's still a new character and people LOVE finding exploits.
@@johnmaco any character can lose to any other character. If the character is top tier it doesn't mean you gonna win 100% of your matches against everyone. I think he needs to tone down his power crushes and usage of nina strings, but hey... Who am I to tell him how to play. :) The most important thing is to enjoy the game.
Prolly don't step enough .... know how I know... Cause I don't step enough and characters be feeling broken cause we not using a whole movement option. I play Lidia in this game and in T7 and if you don't step her then its gonna feel terrible.
Yeah a lot of people have this problem, my friend was just complaining about reinas riden (ff2) and how was it possible no one thought it was broken, he was like "the move does everything, hit: 40dmg heat engager, block: mix up, duck: its a mid, mash: its 12 frames too fast to stuff it out, out space it: ya cant has insane range and comes from forward dash, WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO" and i responded with "step it, its super linear" all he had to say was "you are right, but i hate your answer" The move does look OP as fuck if you arent used to move side to side
even some mid checks he does a lot of highs and he needs to learn the command throws they can’t break them consistently till blue ranks. i get his frustration though if you block lidia her transitions are unsafe you can jab her out of it or throw. she’s fairly linear so step more but overall the games online is trash. connections are bad people on wifi… they shouldn’t allow you in ranked unless your connection meets certain criteria
you throw alot of high strings with Nina like 1,2,4 alot like around 5 per round. haha.., a 250k prowess player he might be around emperor rank, expect him to duck and punish you.
Dude, just improve. Watch your replays, step more, play more patient, take less risks, etc. This should help you get out of red and purple ranks. I'm telling you this as someone who is currently Tekken God.
Feng needs nerfs lol. Also please stop over relying on Nina's Power Crush. Use her chain throws and mix ups more when possible, That Asuka player gave you hell
he needs to step more on certain characters and i would suggest the same thing most these scrubs can’t break throws let alone command throws but i feel his pain on these connections. namco simply should not allow you to play ranked unless your ping and internet meet certain criteria.

Drag, Feng, Paul, King, Xiao, Jun/Asuka (can can and the cartwheel specifically cause they spam it even at Tekken God). Throws need another nerf…throws that combo need a nerf. These peasants need nerfs like now!!!! Like they should have had them back in 1969 cause I hate it!!!!
