I thought that Colorado would be a difficult environment to grow old - it's all about money and youth. Plant yourself where home is home. Why work so hard to live in Colorado when there's so much free public land to visit there? Dallas offers everything.

I left Texas, came to Colorado to try a new life and Omg I never thought I would miss Texas! One, the people here in Colorado are so rude! I also was aware of the snow but as one Colorado native said “there is a difference between playing in snow and living in it.” I too also love to run and running here during the cold months are a no for me!!! Thinking of heading back to Texas for a bit again!!

They state that the weather in Texas is bad but what confuses me is that Colorado could most likely be up their with the amount of natural disasters there are, and living in Galveston I have never felt happier to be in Texas than in Colorado. I didn't miss Colorado and the people in there. It has become California 2.0 and a bit more with our similar cost of living; now high crime rate; horrible crimes and corrections; and I could go on SMH

Finally getting to move from Dallas after living here for over 25 years. Everybody has their place. Dallas is not for me. For people saying Colorado has rude people, what part of Dallas are you at that you're not running into rude people? That's all I've run into for the last 20 years I've lived here. There's rude people everywhere unfortunately. It's all about if a place has all you're looking for. For some, Dallas will be it. For others, Denver. For the rest, neither. Move where you'll be happy.

Wow!!! This is a great video, thank you! I’m from Ohio & have been living in Colorado for 6 years now. I’m finishing my RE license and we are now talking about moving to Texas. (Dallas where my sister is). Everything you mentioned is so similar. I’m afraid I will miss the weather, the mountains & all the outdoor activities. I’m also concerned about the heat - but I heard I’m summer people are either at the water or spend time indoors, like people would for cold weather. Thanks!!

@movingtodallastx 8 месяцев назад
@audry9660 It really doesn't get bad. December - February we are seeing highs in the 50's - 60s on average and it does dip down into the 30's for the lows. That being said, you will have a few cold days here and there and every once in a while, a random snowstorm. Night and day difference from CO. We've enjoyed being able to stay active outside all year! If you'd like some help looking into Rockwall further, definitely shoot me a text or email. 469-919-7380. michael@michaelcaraway.com

Concrete everywhere here not much nature here so hot Colorado seems awesome to me but I’ve only been to Colorado Springs not Denver it seems cheaper there compared to Denver from what I’ve seen and you get the mountains close just to the west. San Antonio and Austin has a little more access to nature of the hill country.

I don’t know but I follow the weather in Colorado in the mountains it’s cold but the front range is only 10-15 degrees colder than DFW even at night 20 degrees colder than the rest of Texas then some random time they can be warmer than us yes about a day sometimes. It’s a dry cold in Colorado so that 20 degrees to me feels the same to me so 30 to 40 up there can feel like 50 to 60 here so that’s pretty comfortable to me. Nights 10-20 there it’s just like 30-40 it’s dry there. I’ve been there in the Summer as well 90 feels like 70 there to me and they get the monsoon rain all Summer there we only get rain the first half of June sometimes not even then sad they get 50s to 60 at night not even a comparison when we are only 75 to 80 late July and August is 85 that quick drop up there is a friend in the Summer so 80 there is not after 7 at night even though it can 7 in the morning here in Texas. Don’t get me started ion the 95 to 110 in the daytime and did I mention humidity 99 is relief after July 4th.

His experience is gonna be different because he's in a whole different phase of life. For a single person without children. I could see living in Colorado a year or two. I'm thinking about living in colorado for a year or two just to get out of Nebraska. Then I'll head down to dallas.

First work problems lol. If you that much about restaurants you are in the wrong part of America. The north east is where all the good food is. Restaurants in Colorado are horrible. But I’d rather be in Colorado but I’d live in the mountains or boulder than where I live currently. I don’t know Dallas well but my friend who lives there hates it, but he’s single and a New Yorker who had to relocate because of work and misses the energy of that city.
@movingtodallastx

You are right - restaurants in Colorado are terrible 😂. And I'd agree there are better restaurants in the north east, but you also have to deal with some brutal winters!

@@movingtodallastx Exactly. Brutal winters in New Jersey and crazy commutes made us relocate here right before pandemic. But over the past 2 3 years, the winter there has mellowed down surprisingly, no snow either. And ppl have gotten WFH jobs. Dallas weather has become rough, Winter storms, hotter than ever summers. I am completely in dilemma about our move.

Nobody can time the market - there are too many variables. What I do know is that if you are getting an 18% discount and you are going to stay in the home for 5+ years then typically that would be a good and safe purchase. The crazy property taxes are causing increasing rental rates down here. So it is effecting owners AND renters.
@movingtodallastx
@movingtodallastx Год назад
You are right - especially single family rentals. The landlords have to pass on that expense directly to the tenant whereas large multifamily can at least distribute it across hundreds of tenants .
