This is so exciting!!! Congratulations! When I moved overseas I found groceries so expensive but realized I was still wearing “Canadian”. Once I ate more Australian & more locally & seasonally, those items were not as expensive and I found it made more accessible.

It's the place where I said I wanted to retire. Yes, B'dos is a little expensive. It's one of my favorite islands next to Jamaica. Hopefully 2025 or so and I'm there!

i spent a month in Barbados, left earlier this month & yes the prices are an eye opener, but I have never felt a community and vibe like it. looking forward to following along
If you want to buy American food brands at Massy , you will run out of money. If you learn to but food at cheap side , Jordan’s , Popular, you will be fine. Stick to the cheaper Trinidadian or local brands for most food items. Do not pay 20$ for Heinz’s Ketchup! Pay 5 for the comparable Ketchup from Trinidad.

online it says the Barbadian dollar is $1.98 their dollar to $1.00 USA so I'm confused. so if my $1.00 USA dollar is worth less than the Barbadian dollar???
