Barbados is a nice place. I’m a Nigerian and I actually did my medical studies in Barbados thank God I was able to completed my studies without getting distracted by the night life in Barbados. I can officially say I’m an Emergency doctor overseas but it’s quite expensive though in Barbados.

Exactly, that's why the slaves that were taken from Africa to the Caribbean could flourish there. The hot climate is similar and most of all the hospitality is as well.

@@anywherebelleface1934 The stay allowed is 3 months. You need a return ticket and a booked accommodation before immigration will let you pass. If you pass through UK, you will need a transit visa for the UK.
Thank you for sharing. I am Liberian-American. I have ancestors who came from Barbados and repatriated to Liberia. Historically, you hear stories of Afro-Caribbeans and Afro-Americans repatriating to an African country. It is also nice to hear of people from the African continent living overseas in the Caribbean or Latin America.
Yes, one of your presidents Arthur Barclay was born right here in Barbados. His nephew Edwin Barclay also became president of Liberia. Its fascinating because every time I passed St. Mary's church in Bridgetown, I see the tombstone of the family's grave.
@S B You are absolutely right. Some of the Barclay family repatriated to Liberia. Late former first lady Antoinette Padmore Tubman parents were born in Barbados. She was one of Liberia's first ladies of Caribbean heritage.

Sorry about your less than pleasant experience in Vincy.. i had to check someone before about that " smelly " issue , honestly some complains were legit , however. One thing about us we Vincy dont hide our feelings, i just wish sometimes we learn to consider people feelings too and especially when it not justified.. but it's wrong to stereotype Africans as a whole and only a few ignorant ones do it.. and the volcano experience is rare occurrence, 40 yrs the last one before 2021 one. Hope you eventually get over it.. Anyways I do hope you dreams and desires come through in Bim.( Barbados) once again I do apologize on behalf of those who made you stay here less than pleasant.. Loool I won’t lie. You’re very much right. There were people with actual body odor. I have to say that SVG took care of me for 7 years so it has a huge place in my heart. I will never forget the Punkies barbecue every Friday and the many many free rides I got. I never thought I’d experience the volcano as well. It was so sudden and the combination with the lockdown and the entire mental stress of the year really left me craving for a new environment. It’s also hilarious that Barbados got so much ash 😂😂 They’re like the middle child that gets licks when the other children getting licks. One thing I regret for sure is not taking more videos and pictures during my time there. God willing I will come again ❤️

Nice video but point of correction: There is no specific called "Abroad" but rather it's any place which is completely outside the borders of your country and not necessarily US, Canada, Europe or Australia. So as a Nigerian even when you cross your land borders and enter Benin Republic or Cameroon it still means you have travelled abroad. Those Europeans and Americans when they also travel to Africa they're also said to have travelled abroad. I hope you've got me right.
Oh yeah! I do know the difference. It's just a playful joke on the popular idea that if you're abroad, you're in the UK, US or Canada. Since I'm in less popular places, I tell them I'm "overseas" not abroad lol.

Love your post! I love Barbados too!! FYI - the visa free period for Nigerians (and other countries apart from CARICOM) is 3 months not 6 months. I know that everything online says 6 months (so you're technically not wrong) - BUT it's really 3 months. I've been in direct contact with the immigration and they are fully aware that the information online is false but.... for whatever reason.... it's not been updated! Just sharing that in case anyone flies over thinking they can stay for 6 months and end up inadvertently overstaying! 😨 Again - thanks for the post! ❤

I'm Barbadian and I lived in st Vincent years ago, the people in the Caribbean are particularly very welcoming, I have a lot of good friends in st vincent and found vincies very welcoming as well, and pretty nice people, what you may have experience I think maybe the pride most of the islands have in their country that some times can come over the wrong way that may seem negative, but regional people are general welcoming I know, I've visited all except Jamaica, as yet, some several tiimes, and have many friends in most of them
Real nice people. Some of them helped me get housing when some landlords were skeptical about renting to Nigerians, others gave me free rides and I love the free food as well.
Visit Jamaica, you won't regret it! Everytime I go I meet wonderful ppl, have a great time, eat great food and drink great cocktails/beverages!!! It's a new experience everytime I go and I love it with all my heart! 🤩💕❤️👏👍👍💯

A lot a Barbados are Igbo people from Naija,in my country Suriname South America,there are many Nigerians .I talk to some of them .they use public transport like me
As far as I know only Caricom countries are granted 6 months of stay. I believe Nigerians are only granted three months of stay upon arriving at the airport. If you want to stay longer than the three months then you have to visit the Bridgetown office.
I've always told most of my Nigerian people that Nollywood has done more harm than good to Nigeria. Most people outside Nigeria view Nigeria based on what they've watched on Nollywood. Anyways I love your content. Keep it up, your brother form PH.
Glad to have you here 🇧🇧 One thing I would say is the Visa free stay for Nigerians was changed from 6 mths to 3 mths, I learnt that earlier this year when I was researching it for a friend. And unfortunately some bajans do discriminate against Africans, I've seen it myself

However, I feel like because of the country’s structure and if maybe you’re not living in the country side, there are much less chances to experience racism.

I am from Cameroon living in Qatar Iam planning to visit Barbados, but to get direct flight from Doha to Barbados it's very difficult, all the available flight I saw has transit in UK and USA and I need transit, which is kind of difficult for me , actually Barbados is visa free for Cameroonian 🇨🇲 .

I've never been to any of the other Caribbean countries except mine,I'm happy to be Jamaican,I look forward to visiting some of the other islands in the future.
I blame our governments for that. Caricom needs to do better. Travelling within Caricom is so expensive. We could really help eachothers economies especially small businesses that way and depend less on visitors from outside the region. Look what covid did
@@melca758 Well travel comes out of ahh well, natural travel. For travel to be worth it, there has to be natural movement. The Southern islands are far away so its hard to travel from say Jamaica to Trinidad.

The 17.5% VAT is definitely on the high side. Takes some getting used to. I've just learnt to ignore it most times but on some days you realize you can't get nothing good for less than $10 -20 lol

I would start by checking on LinkedIn. Always a good place to network and learn of vacant positions. There aren’t many available though. Don’t feel restricted to Barbados too. Check neighboring islands as well so you have better options
Good to see black people choosing the Caribbean as another option besides Non black countries. There are many black countries. I’ve always heard Barbados was fabulous. I know some here in NY. Great people and I love their accent(specially the men lol). I’m African American and I was hoping to find Bajian people as my dna matches but instead I found Jamaican(no shade to Jamaica) but Bajian people are special. This would have been my excuse to move there. But I will visit. I will be following your moves.

I’m a hospice nurse. One pts home I went to had a live in cna and she turns out to be my cousin. Same last name as my mothers maidan name. From the same rural town in NC. Unfortunately it’s our mindset. We’ve been conditioned to think anything that’s not black is better so we tend to want to live in Non black countries. I’ve been to Nigeria a few times and love it. You really learn to appreciate the less stress of being black seeing all those beautiful black faces plus the food is so damn fresh!
