Biggest take away is to always study the places the benefits you personally and professionally. No person stays in one place forever so decisions have to be made. Kudos to you PBD for laying out the decision making process in this video and welcome to South Florida! 🍺🍺🍺
Working on Trade/IT products, originally from Brazil and living in FLL for the past 4 yrs (having lived in São Paulo, Sacramento, Ohio, Texas) and I was looking for new locations (NC, KY, TX, GA, etc). My takeaway here is "stay put"
@BAAL BUSTERS II also there is no such thing as "self made" nobody got anywhere completly alone.. even jeff bezoz got a 300 000 loan from his parents to create amazone. Elon musk is an incredible hard worker but he made pay pal with friends and his brother.. to succede you need to work hard.. and also make the right connections with the right people.. so dont feel bad if you not an milionare yet brother
As someone said: I love Florida. There's beaches and ocean for my wife, golf courses for me, amusement parks for my kids and alligators for my mother-in-law.
Born and raised in California. Left with my family this past September 2020 to south Florida and it’s been the best decision. So thankful for this Governor.
@@JesusChrist2000BC did you read the last sentence dummy not everyone in California is leftist.. all norcal is red pretty much and who knows how It would be if they didn’t count illegals votes
Moving isn’t going to save you but atleast you tried..... AMERICA as a whole is transitioning into a socialist state and there isn’t really much you can do about it but......... #LearnToCode
The governor will not pay him for this video as a matter of fact my wife and I are wanting him to shut up and take it down we got enough liberals moving here we don't need any more help LOL no but I'm serious long as they leave their liberal leftist socialist ideas up north they can come
@@kerrydennard4921 Problem is they never do that. Without fail, the majority of California transplants vote for the shit they ran away from. It's fucking mind boggling to go through the financial burden to escape only to vote to recreate it. States need to implement a rule that you can't vote in the next election cycle when you move to a new state.
Hey Pat,. I moved from California to Lakeland, Florida October 2020 and I don't regret it. I grew up in California but it's not the same California I remembered.
I felt the same way but, once I moved over, there was a bunch of starter jobs, less competition, cost of living is more affordable, gas is less. Good luck if you do make that move.
Lakeland is central 45 minutes to 1 hour from Tampa or Orlando. I hear a lot of good things about Sarasota. I guess it just depends on the person though, since I have 2 little boys, this spot is nice to raise a family. Easy to get around. Real Estate is booming out here. You'd do very well.
Welcome to FL ive lived here my whole life... floridians biggest fears are all the transplants coming from Ca,NY, etc. and voting for the same policies that ruined their home state.
Yes, my concern too. All the people I have met lately from CA and NY I tell them welcome to FL , hope you let those typical CA and NY political beliefs behind.
@May Day I wish that were true for my city. I live in NYC, and I know a BUNCH of hardcore leftist/socialists that moved to Florida cause of lax Covid laws. Mind you, they’re the same hypocrites that cry “mask mask mask” when even walking down the street alone.
@May Day Not even remotely true. Leftists flee because they can't live in the garbage they create and continue to vote for those same policies in New states. The data backs this up.
So being someone born and raised in Florida we have always been welcoming. These last few years though the influx of people has been huge. This as in many areas has made the housing market unattainable for some of the locals. This is something we will have to deal with. But ask for all of you moving here, remember why you came. Remember what it was you didn't like "over there" that made you come here. Consider that when you vote. Vote for people that will protect our way of life. Because we are a fragile state and can easily be turned into where you fled from.
Very well stated.... Agree 100% I'm trying to refrain myself from any comment because I don't have your talent, kindness, and ability to use words in such a critical issue. I'm a Floridian who loves my state and is proud of my Governor DeSantis.... Florida is a safe-heaven for families and kids, and I want to keep it that way. California, New Jersey, New York, etc. are leftist (Libertarians) states. These states didn't become leftist from one day to the next... The people from those states kept voting for the same corrupted politicians over and over again. Now, they are running away from the mess they created and still voting democrat... May God Bless the USA & Our State
@@WeThePeople001 agreed!!! Just wish Vermont would get out of the blue COMPLETELY and remove the darn heroine .... It's a shame....I love my state...but it's morally corrupt in every way
That's the truth. Usually they ruin everything in the new place leaving a path of utter waste and destruction in their wake.. be careful when u open your arms to people coming from states that are literally in shambles and a huge dumpster fire...
I admire how he broke down his thought process. It’s not just about VT or his family’s. He’s really thinking in depth. Also. He’s being very detailed in his explanation because he knows higher level business leaders follow this channel as well and he’s subtly giving guidelines to make a change. Very smart Pat.
What part of Florida did you move from, and where did you move to in TN? We are thinking about moving to Florida, or staying in TN. We now live outside Nashville, in Sumner County.
B.s. Tenn is the worse hypocritical bible belt state next to va. HORRIFIC place I just got back and wouldn't reco tn for anyone to live there. Horrible people there just horrible.
Your views on whether a place/person is “great” depends on your values. A lot of people think monsters are great people because they have similar values. That’s why they say “consider the source”
My brother did the opposite moved from Orlando to New York. I loved going to visit him in Florida and im about to go to New York to visit him for my first time. I can't wait to see and visit New York City.
Born and raised here in Miami and I want to say, WELCOME TO SOUTH FLORIDA I'm so happy to see a cool guy bring his family here. Hope to see you and thank you for Your Next Five Moves.
After the Army I drove straight down to Florida to start over. About 12 years now and have found great success in many aspects of life. This is by far the best state.
The only thing I will caveat to that statement is people have to understand there are literally 3 succinct states/cultures in Florida: Pan handle "Southern", Middle Florida "Moderate", and southern FL "cuban/latino with a anything goes mentality". You have to quantify which part.
@@KevinSolem I was born and raised in Minnesota. Its a beautiful state but unfortunately the weather sucks most of the time. That being said... summer was always my favorite season so it makes perfect sense that I relocated here to sunny and warm Florida. Endless summer!!
Hey JLINA, How are you? I see we follow some of the same people in Business. I'm looking to expand my financial services / insurance office in your area and looking to connect with like minded individuals to possibly partner with. Not sure if your keeping your career options open but thought it made sense at least to connect. Nice to meet you, Dennis

Oh my GOODNESS!!!!! I’m soooo need to hear this!!! I’m moving to Oviedo Florida to be close to my grandbabies and leaving Texas makes me sooo sad. I been in Texas since 1989 when I moved from Philippines and this makes me feel at peace and gave me a great assurance. Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you!! I’m a fan of yours!
And every area of Florida is different too. Key West for sure feels like a different country. So does Miami. And it's different from Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville.
I love that Pat speaks quickly and doesn't mess around. Even in his pitch to like and subscribe, it's so efficient. Doesn't waste our time. Nothing but quality content.
I live in Ontario Canada and the way our government is handling the pandemic is causing me to consider moving. We have been locked down on and off for a year now. Currently there is a stay at home order. I want to go where people are free to make their own decisions.
Ontario resident here too. Both my wife and I left socialist countries to live in Canada, and now we're watching our rights stripped from us in record time. Florida and Texas are the only places that seem sane today.
I live 45 minutes from L.A. It used to be so trendy and a really fun place to be on the weekends. It’s a complete crap hole now. Even the nice areas are surrounded with filth and crime.
I live in West Palm Beach Florida now, I'm an over the road truck driver, who has been through all of the lower 48 states, I really love Florida for the weather, and low taxes , although living in Florida is a place that may elder people live during the winter months, and Florida is great weather, there is so much opportunity in Florida.
You’re 100% on point on this Patrick! Being born and raised in CA we all love the fun outdoors things to do from surf, camp, snowboarding, lakes, great weather and amusement parks. But when there’s no end in sight on the high cost live, gas, food, taxes etc, Florida is the ONLY BEST OPTION to trade up to Florida. I never thought I’d move to the East coast from San Diego but I did say, “ if I ever move to east coast, it’s got to be FL. “ I’ll pray on it, for the doors to open up and I’m sure I’ll be there I. The next 1.5-2yrs. Thank you for the detailed insight. Love and appreciate your mindset. Godspeed
I grew up in Newport Beach and Encinitas. I moved to Scottsdale during the pandemic and love it. However, my long term goal is to move to Naples, Fl in a few months to retire as I miss the beach. You will not miss your cold Pacific ocean once you go into the gulf, Jupiter/ Palm Beach or the keys. The shopping in Naples and Bonita Springs is better than any area in California. ZERO state taxes in retirement. Low Collier County Florida taxes. Plus, there are no bums hanging out in the streets of Naples like Balboa Park. I have nothing against California as I like the people, but you have the worst leaders running that company and are getting invaded by illegals. BTW, WDW and Universal in Florida blow away their counterparts in California!!
Exactly my thought. Been living in CA for 17 yrs. was contemplating to move to Texas then covid hit and then realized that FL might be the best option alternative to CA but now scared of hurricanes and floods. What do U guys say. Is there any part of Florida which is safer in terms of hurricanes
Florida welcomes you. But no offense. We don't need you Californians ruining our state. Hopefully you wont make the same mistake you all did by keeping the ones in power that should've been fired a long time ago. We like our 2nd amendment & our peace & nature. As long as you dont have liberal thoughts & actions. We welcome you. You do then you can go back to California. Sorry not sorry
I moved from Austin Texas to Tampa Bay Area (St. Petersburg) 2 years ago and I can tell you Florida doesn’t have anything on Texas as far as the heat. True it’s humid, but I’ll take the nice ocean breeze over 60+ days straight of 100 degrees plus. Also, during the last year Florida has HANDS DOWN been the best place to live. Welcome, I hope you love it here as much as I do
I’m jealous! I’ve been in Austin fourteen years and loved it here until recently. Too many liberals and the homeless camps are taking over the city. It was a toss up to move to Tampa or Austin when we moved here, I wish we had chosen Tampa now.
Miami has always been on my bucket list as my holiday resort home. I am a Londoner but each time I see Miami whether in music videos, Movies etc, the life style just resonate with my person. I want to buy a home in Miami and currently working towards it. 🙏🏿
All great points. I too lived in Glendale. After 65 years I left for many of the same reasons you talked about. Taxes , cost of living and homelessness pushed us over the edge and now we’re much happier.
We are a military, I’m from VA (taxes 😩), we lived in NC most of our career, but we want to retire early in about 10 more years and move to Florida. No state taxes, nice and sunny, plus we love cruising.
As a fello SF Valley, I moved out of the valley 20 years ago. I still visit my family and it’s horrible what the valley looks like. Could never move back.
@@jamescalifornia2964 that’s where I’m from. And most of my family is in California. I know what’s going on. I think I’ll stay in my Red State for now. I pray for California all the time.
I wonder if people like Pat just naturally having the ability to articulate words the way that he does or if it's something he's learned over the years of doing what he does... So much value in everything that comes out of this mouth.
I lived in MA, So Cal, Nor Cal, PA and now Fl all with the same company. Love Florida. Sarasota area... My wife is Brazilian and a nurse and she also loves it.
I moved from NY to Florida for all the reasons you stated in both videos. I love the fact there is no income tax down here and the weather is great everyday.
You have helped me make up my mind! I'M MOVING TO FLORIDA! Interesting enough, my mom calls ME a gypsy also. I was ALSO in the army; I grew up in Columbia, SC. I was ALSO deployed (to Saudi Arabia). I have been saying FOR YEARS I was relocating to Florida (I will be 50 in 2022). I have lived in Hawaii, Texas, and other states. Currently, I live in NYC; my adult sons live in Florida and have been for quite some time. I have been debating FOR YEARS on relocating there; one of my sons keeps begging me to relocate; this video sealed the deal for me, and I thank you for it, as I believe this is a sign.
I don't know your leanings, and I welcome all. However I do ask that you analyze why Florida is so much better than say NY, and not vote blue. We may be purple, but the policies are conservative. Once again, welcome.
@@Monkofthecaribbean Funny you don't know me, yet you ASSUME that I'm associated with a certain color because of the state in which I CURRENTLY live. I rebuke your audacity. 🙏 ❤🙂
Last week went to visit my other home PR and I was at the beach. As a Florida resident myself, I agree with the points you made about moving/living here, Pat. Welcome to you and your enire family.. Abundant blessings!
I love the points you hit on this video! It is about living a happy life. I’m moving my family out of California because we both work full time and we still can’t enjoy life. Life should be enjoyed not something you suffer through just to make ends meet. I love culture and diversity too! I want to live somewhere where I can breathe all sorts of culture. My kids are mixed too! Thanks for the video it was very informative.
I’m a Floridan born and raised, live in miami, constantly travel to Texas for work. Florida has always seemed to be like a transient place to me. Young people go there for a few years in their 20s for the lifestyle and then head somewhere else. Entrepreneurs make it here as well as business men and politicians but it is more ideal to go into entrepreneurship trying to invest no matter how little
Saving money to fund a comfortable retirement is perhaps the biggest reason people invest. As such, finding the right balance between risk and investment return is key to a successful retirement savings strategy. Your strategy should be simple, have both high and low returns investment embrace the risk. One classic example is investing in online trading, in this case the company I'm invested in trades low risk securities and thus eliminate the risk factor while still getting you amazing profits.
@Mike Gerhardt When it comes to money, if treated well has better chance of being productive in different ways. If you do this, you would have so much money that you don't care much about money rather the freedom, opportunities and options that comes with having money. Same exact words Pamela Morgan will say a true advisor, leave a comment if you need recommendation about a financial advisor.
@@StylinProfilin3889 Well, I love being on the east coast for the atlantic beaches. I live in Ormond Beach, just north of Daytona. I love everything from Vero Beach up to St. Augustine. I have lived in Miami for 40 yrs and love it. Previously I lived 2 yrs in Madrid. Spain and 4 in Geneva, Switzerland. At first you have to get used to this way of life but now, after doing a lot of traveling, I wouldn't change it. It's not that hot. That's what A/C is for.

I am a Florida native who left because of my hubs career 36 years ago and I have lived all over the country. I go home a lot though. I have lived in Coral Gables, Windermere, Pensacola, Tallahassee, DeLand. We love St George Island. It’s how Florida was when I was a little girl. It is still affordable.
@@KG-xc4of The Red Tide at some of the beaches makes some people sneeze and cough when you go myself included, but I’m not aware of anything else. Lived in Malibu as a kid. Went back to Los Angeles last month to visit. I was horrified to see the overall condition of the city. Homeless, trash, and graffiti everywhere. Florida is our top choice thus far.
It's the best state that I've visited in the US so far. People seem nice and polite. Hope this pandemic be over soon, so me and my family can go back there in no time
I would have stayed. Lived and grew up in St. Petersburg from 1975-1980. Best part of my life. Had mango trees in my backyard, night blooming jasmine. Grand parents had lemon and orange trees. Always lived in a house. Why move away? Father had a gig in CT that fell through. 3 yrs from this writing I'll be back for good.
Pat Pat Pat I concur with you 100%. I grew up in Gardena and West LA and then spent most of my time in the valley exactly like you did. You're so right. At the 118 and Sepulveda underneath the freeway for example is a whole bunch of homeless people. It's so sad and the government is sponsoring it encouraging it. It's funny I saw your video and I ignored it but then two days ago we decided we're moving to Florida and not ignoring you. I'm not rich and I can barely afford it but I am out. I'm in Florida. I got hotel reservations for 9 days and I'm going to find a place to buy. Thank you.
I moved my family from Northern California to Siesta Key Florida it’s amazing the cost of living is so much lower but the best part is the people are so much friendlier
Californian here…homelessness is a HUGE problem. It is beyond sad. I live in Carlsbad in San Diego, and am truly blessed but FED UP. My mom sold her home here and moved to Florida. All the spoiled people we know asked “why”? At the end of the day, you get tired of being screwed in California and it’s a SMART ECONOMICAL DECISION. Her family, Puerto Rico where she’s from is hop and skip away and the warm weather are all there. 🐚🌴🍊
Well YOU have warm weather there too just about year round. while we get the uggs here come 5.15-10.15. however you ain't gonna cook an egg on our hoods here like can happen in CA at times. yeah Puerto Rico is a beautiful island as are most of the Caribbean.
In Miami the homeless population has increased within the last four years. It’s no surprise with having low wages and having to pay more for housing. The average local pays 70 percent of their wages towards housing.
