im a second year medical student and we just learned about this yesterday. I am interested in going into oncology and your videos are helping me learn. I am so glad that you are now declared cancer free! God Bless !!
Keep on fighting!! Your youtube and instagram show that you really are an inspiration :) Hope you feel better soon. Prayers from a fellow Tasmanian xox
Love your videos. Tomorrow is round 2 of chemo for me. I've got an aggressive form of breast cancer so itr treatment's are obviously different. Still is fascinating to see the similarities too. Prayers from America, hope you are doing well James. ❤
You are so knowledgeable and explain everything in a way that's easy to understand. Just curious why you decided to document this whole journey. Glad you did tho you're helping a lot of people!!
My nephew who is 18 was recently diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He has gone through the usual chemotherapy and is now in remission. They did a genetic analysis on the cancer cells and there is was a mutation in the tp53 gene which, according to the medical professionals, indicates that it will likely come back. The mutations in this gene and its strong correlation with relapse with ALL has really only been observed within the past 3 years (according to them). He will be getting a bone marrow transplant this summer. I am more worried about it than his mother. Viewing more of your latest videos gives me great hope. Good luck in the future.
Ausrine Domeikaite how are you doing? Did you have to get a bone marrow transplant? My sister has T cell pro lymphocytic leukemia and I’m trying to get info for her
rilo khan niazi she had T cell lymphocytic leukemia she was diagnosed earlier in the year she had routine blood and the lymphocytes count was high so they did testing and said she had that but it was caught early and she had the pet scan and everything was ok she went for chemo and bone marrow transplant and she was actually in remission for a month or so and all of a sudden it can back and nothing they did worked and in a matter of months it spread and it was just horrible but the cancer she had was extremely rare they said the doctor told us only 2 other cases like hers She was 45 and extremely healthy the doctors never told us in the beginning that it would be that bad at the end they told us after the bone marrow transplant she would go back to normal and it would all be a bad dream but it took a bad turn and she’s gone and I just can’t believe it
You are an Amazing strong person. you are in my prayers . keep fighting. thank u for making videos through this process. I know u will help alot of people with your videos.
You are a great resource for patients and laboratory students like myself. Thank you for sharing your journey. Worth stating if anyone reading the comments is interested in becoming a bone marrow donor for people like James go to bethematch.org/ Of all of the transplants, bone marrow requires a very close match of HLA typing. That's why sheer volume of participants on the bone marrow registry is really important. You've inspired me to get off my ass and finally register.
