In the deepest part of your heart do you always pay 10% of everything you earn as tithe?

We've got to understand that Christianity is not Judaism. There are certain things that were valid in Judaism but not in Christianity. Tithing was a commandment to the Israelites so that those that serves as priests would be devoted to their duties. This tribe was not given land to farming and so it was categorically stated that because the Levites were not given land to farm so the other tribes MUST given/ pay them 10% of their. Yield every 3 year.. Jesus our Lord as a person was not entitled to collect TITHE because he was not a Levitt. THESE may shock you. OUR LORD WHILE AS A PERSON WOULD HAVE PAID TITHE HAD HE FARM.. WAGES EARNERS DO NOT PAY TITHE. ONLY FARMERS DO. ....

I hope you are taking it to Jerusalem and giving it to a Levite in the 3rd year as God commanded? Or you aren't concerned with God's instruction?

Beautiful… Personally I will continue thanking God for his provision like that. There was a time I didn’t have anything. It’s a privilege for me to honor God’s word like that…. We give God our souls, our lives; now is giving God the 10th of our financial or other blessings that we receive from the Lord too hard to do??? I will continue honoring God that way. It’s such an honor for me to do so.

Tithing is not the issue. The manipulation of the tithe is the problem. We are not to give out of fear, guilt and pressure from outside sources. We are not to tithe to get. But it's taught that way. Also you are not cursed if you don't. Malachi 3 and 10 doesn't apply to us. Which many use to strike fear in people to tithe. We are to give as GOD has prospered us and as we have determined in our hearts. To be led by the SPIRIT is the key. For some people. 10% is nothing. For others. 10% is a struggle. Our heart means everything because as an American. We have dead presidents and occult symbols on our money. So it is the heart of that makes any gift to GOD acceptable and I can hear how people talk that they boast and feel self righteous based on the tithe.

" what would you say Jesus meant there? Jesus said "thou shall love the Lord your God.... and love your neighbor as yourself. Against this there is no law, what do you think Jesus meant? Jesus was simply saying the essence of all the laws is captured in those words. Anything that does not stand on that or have bearing on it is not compulsory for you. God does not eat your tithe. It is human being that uses it. Jesus has made us to understand that it is the spirit of the law that matters. When they brought the adulterous woman before Jesus, He asked them what the law of Moses prescribed and they told him, why didn't Jesus order them to stone her? Why did Jesus used examples of what David did when he was hungry which was unlawful for him to do. Why didn't Jesus condemn the action of David?

Tithing is scriptural and therefore acceptable, the problem with some churches is that they do tithing at the expense of the weightier things like justice, mercy, love, etc, Tithing in the new testament is done not after the levitical priesthood but after the priesthood of MELCHIZEDEK (Which is christ), whom Abraham tithed to. MELCHIZEDEK ordinance predates levitical ordinance. That's why tithing is done by revelatory obligation not with coercion

The question about tithing can only be answered honestly and genuinely if you are not self seeking. People shouldn't tithe because church or pastors need money and some people are fighting this tithing matter because they don't want to give God and need people to buy the opinion. Tithing predates the law. If you are in Christ Jesus, if you are of faith, Abraham is your father [Gal3:7]. Abraham your father tithed and your faith is in step[Romans4:12]. To be more evident, God swore that the priesthood of Jesus Christ will be according to Melchizedek [Psalm 110:4]. By faith, Abraham gave tithe to Melchizedek after Melchizedek had given him bread and wine[Gen14:18-20]. So also you should tithe after Jesus Christ has given you bread and wine[His flesh and blood]-John6:51,53,54- i.e. after Jesus has given you eternal life into your heart. So people tithe because they have believed. Tithing is a response to faith. The question is why 10%, the custom of ancient world is that 10% be designated to spirits as a means of devotion. If you don't pay tithe, your salvation cannot be cancelled. Tithing don't make you heaven's candidate. It is faith in Christ's finished works, that's why we are under grace. Tithing is your response to faith. Faith works by love, love can only be known by giving (Gal5:6, John3:16). So tithing is the working of your faith. Now again, why 10%? Should it still be 10%? Honestly it may not! We are not under law. However if you are saved and God doesn't spend of your money, you don't have a love life of giving and your faith is not working. Some have walked with God, and they are giving 40%, 20%, as led by Holy Spirit. Even tithing is elementary way of giving, purpose in your heart to do better as your righteousness should exceed that of the Pharisees [law]- Mat5:20, note Jesus was teaching here on our personal righteous conduct. Tithe or any % you are giving God should be from the heart and not by compulsion. A Christian will not be cursed because he didn't tithe, however devourer called a financial curse may attack him.

I won’t go into the argument of whether Jesus Christ was Melchizedek (King of Salem) in the book of Genesis but if you read well, did Abraham give a tithe of all he earned. He gave a 10th of the spoils of war. That sounded more like a thanksgiving offering than the tithe in the way we know it in todays church. Is there any other part of the bible that records that Abraham gave tithe of all his livestock or produce? Or did you see Isaac his son do the same anywhere in the bible or Jacob?
