Yes! While my body is mostly back to the same size and shape, my skin elasticity is different. I'm also more focused on clothing that is good for bending down to drop things my son drops such as skorts, rompers, and longerish shorts. Recently, we went on vacation and I found bringing a black capsule wardrobe with a few prints and one off outfits (blue romper, red dress, etc) felt so freeing. When we returned I decluttered so many household items and clothing items we lived perfectly fine without while on vacation. It's been so freeing!

I had a wonderful small wardrobe. Then I went through menopause and was suddenly uncomfortable in everything and ended up with too much stuff, just trying to find what fit and what I liked with my new body. This has inspired me to pare back down to just what I love and feel good in.
@veggirl1964 oh my goodness the exact same thing happened to me! I was a confident person who knew what I liked to wear. Now nothing feels right. Nothing feels like me anymore. I’m slowly finding my way back, but have gone from about 160 items to 15. Hopefully we’ll find our way back! I find I’m a lot more relaxed now. Over my hair and make up. Decided to embrace the grey and natural makeup. I’m happier and my confidence is coming back.😊
In Russia just a few people having closets, majority have clothing hang armor, and when I came in US it was so nice to have a walk in space but then it became cluttered and overwhelming..

I have never felt better than when I cleared out most of my clothes. I also have two small wardrobes for the two extreme seasons! It’s so practical and makes the start of my days easy!
I love the concept behind this! When I went for a rehab for my burnout I could not take a lot of clothes and I felt so comfortable with the smaller choice I had. Also, it was so satisfying to love every item and get a lot of use out of it. I will definitely be looking into this and downsize my current wardrobe. And I love your items! I love the cut of them, as you said the flowyness but also the color story. Great video and great energy!

I would love to see what your cold weather wardrobe looks like! I live in NC where our summer/fall seasons are very hot, in the 90s. But then winter/spring it gets into the 20s and 30s, literally freezing🥶

I'm still in the process of decluttering my home, but I've already seen the benefits. I also naturally feel myself going back to the places/spaces I've already done to further declutter. And sometimes it just takes time to realize/come to terms with the fact that you just don't need/use/want that item in your life. I'm just discovering your page, but really love your videos/content! You're a calming presence and I appreciate your content for inspiring me to further make positive changes towards slower living :)

However, I had a moment of “oh no, I don’t really have any shirts for summer” and went and purchased a few inexpensive ones from Amazon…got them home….then realized “oh no….I HATE THESE!!…why did I buy these?!”…..Still learning, I guess.😅

I’m in the process of doing this and it’s hard to make decisions but I’m looking forward to the simplicity when get there. I am a bit of a shopaholic, always looking to make myself feel better about myself but recently realized it comes from within . No matter how many clothes I have this won’t change until it comes from within.
Ongoing wardrobe items purge/ rehoming for my husband & me, Now especially both born, raised, lived our whole lives in Midwestern states & near future moving to a Southwestern state...EEK!😳😎😊❤️❤️🌞 So many cold-weather clothes/boots/accessories will go to new homes! 😊

I completely understand about getting decision fatigue. Even with more clothes in my closet I still go to the same t shirts and leggings. I have a very casual lifestyle so I don’t have the need for a lot. I do want to keep some special occasion pieces as I don’t want to be forced last minute to go and shop. I used to think that laundry would be an issue if I had less clothing. The problem is the more clothing I have the harder laundry becomes. As I’m older and have health issues I find doing laundry overwhelming. I have been decluttering slowly but also find letting go of more expensive pieces difficult. It’s a guilt thing I guess. I live in Canada so you do have four seasons and need wardrobes for the each one. I just change out my closet accordingly for the season. I still need to declutter but need inspiration. Thank you for your viewpoint as it’s very much needed.🥰 I love your dresses, etc. Just curious on their brands. I love the nice flowy dresses but am shopping online and can’t find what I’m looking for. I am starting to love the boho chic (60’s flower child) clothes that are so light and airy.

I definitely still see things I really like! I’ll take a picture or save it and it helps with the urge I have. But I’m also not opposed to getting new things I love, I just think to myself ‘what would this replace’. And that helps me keep everything minimal and only buy things sparingly
Ok this is very very appealing even if the number for me might potentially be a bit larger. I’m so tired of overwhelm when it comes to my stuff. I can’t see past it and I’m feeling stifled. I also feel blah in my clothes and want to start an exercise regime but I’m too depressed and can only just manage to get up some days. Lightening my load and focusing less on what’s missing might be a good idea. All I want is happiness, peace, family, friends, travel, security, creativity, fun, food and space to breathe. There are three built in double wardrobes in this house (plus my husband and son have one each) and I surely don’t need to fill them! I don’t think I need a huge wardrobe to accomplish this. Time to start a delcluttering mission. Again.

4:14 Gave me an enlightenment. I look at my closet and say, even tho I have only my favorite pieces: "I have nothing to wear" My minimalist Monk Alter ego: "B**** just wear them!" It's kind of an wake-up call; you have goals you have values, and this proves that sometimes they might want to change. As a level 4 minimalist right now, I re-watch these kind of videos to remind myself, but sometimes, even now, I always question.
I feel that after dong a capsule wardrobe for fall/winter & another for spring/summer. I have a separate capsule of just sweats and tees and then a door hook with 10 cardigans, sweatshirts, zip ups. So my wardrobe ended up being about 40 pieces and it’s perfect for me! Given that I just had a baby right after I made the switch and I have lived in my sweatshirt & tee shirt capsule wardrobe the whole baby bump process lol. I got tired of them but reminded myself I could go shopping in my whole wardrobe after postpartum dust settles!
I love the concept and have put it to use in my wardrobe of about 100 items! The key is making it work with your lifestyle-I enjoy adornment as a self care and artistic practice and love variety

I live in Canada with 4 seasons so need many coats etc and clothing variety. However I feel like I have too many clothes and none feel right. So 10 items also wont work for me. Help lol
What do you wear around the house? I’m a Sahm to a toddler and I don’t really go anywhere. If I’m doing activities with my kid I’m usually in activewear but what about around the house??

This would be hugely cancelled by time spent sorting, folding, putting away and trying to find clothes though and not buying clothes often would mean more than enough to offset the cost of extra washing
I had the same question. As I just have to wash for myself and don't have kids, it takes more days to fill the washing machine, and i want to wash as environment friendly as possible. I am sure i can still declutter many pieces of clothing in my wardrobe, but i still need to have much much more than 10 items. Would love to hear if someone is in the same situation and have found their way to minimise. Also, i appreciate your videos, inspiring and fun! ..i love the dog moments there 😂
