Bedside is dead end job and wayyy to taxing on the body (knees, back, stress). There are barely any remote jobs paying over $20-25 an hour and I was told nurses with MASTERS are getting these 25$/hr bachelors remote positions where thousands of nurses are applying for one freaking position. I decided to get my psych NP/ work telehealth for $160k year / travel full-time with my little family. Graduate next June
This is exactly how I feel. I’ve only been a nurse for a little over a year and I thought changing specialties would help, but it’s all the same bs lol. I was contemplating on trying travel nursing in California in the future, but I’m at a point where I don’t even care about the money or extra resources that traveling provides. I just want out of healthcare🤦🏾♀️I’m not happy at all so I definitely don’t see myself doing this long term. Currently looking for wfh jobs that can sustain my lifestyle as well!
Girl this is how I felt from start to finish of nursing school listening to everybody about how it’s going to get better. I just graduated and all I can say is I’m not and never will be excited about nursing for all of the reasons you mentioned. The nursing jobs I’m interested in you have to have at least 3 years of experience for. I feel so scammed and like you I desire to live somewhere like Columbia. My husband happens to be from DR lol and I have the desire to want to live there. I wish I would have gone into IT now so that I could have lived and worked remotely from just about anywhere.
My sentiments exactly!! 😭 like it’s really so ghetto and I love my NICU babies but to do this forever…idk about that one. I want a simple life 😩 I should’ve been a mathematician. I was amazing at math and it was my favorite subject but I didn’t think I could’ve done anything with that degree except teach. Coming from your I've never had a boyfriend part 2 video. You definitely don't have a boring life. For me having a boring life is doing the same thing every day until all the years start to blend together from the past decade. You have managed to save up enough money to move to a new country and have money left over to be comfortable for awhile. You also don't need to share your finances with anyone and your money is your own. Alot of people dream of that kind of freedom but have other responsibilities. You are in a very unique position enjoy it all you can.

I’m going through all the same emotions you went over in this video as a burned out travel nurse. I’ve decided when my contract is over in April I want to take at least 3 months off and just be but I’m scared of not having income coming in. How do you make money out of the country or do you just live off of your savings ?
You can look forward to helping people! Especially if you’ll be in an area of nursing that you’re passionate about. I love my NICU babies! Now the state depends on how far you’re willing to move and the cost of living and everything. California was by far the best state I worked in but I was a travel nurse. The staff nurses weren’t paid very well although they have a great work environment and better work life balance than most other places I’ve seen.

@@adoseofsymone cost of living is very high which is why I’m in my last semester of nursing and leaving it’s not worth it people here who sitting down working a a front desk makes more than a nurse or the same it’s ridiculous. Id rather going into something else it’s not worth my mental
