I left NYC August 2021 and moved to Ohio for some of the same reasons. I desperately wanted a slower pace of life and more yard space for gardening. Love NYC to death but I just couldn’t live there anymore. I love the peace, simplicity and time to enjoy life now. Great to see you Jasmine and I am truly happy for you and your family. (Not sure if you remember but we met at your loc meetup in BK back in the day. My name was KayaJourney then).
Omg!!!! Of course I remember you Kaya! You helped us set up for Loc Appreciation day! Wow! What a time that was! So glad to know you’re doing well and thriving in Ohio! We have to catch up
Born and raised in Brooklyn, as well! Moved to Georgia in 2021! It was the first move for me and my hubby ( also Brooklyn born). Brooklyn made us but now it's time to spread our wings! Cheers to new chapters!
@@JasmineRose So Ghetto!!That was one of the highlights of moving. However, Georgia still gets frigid! I get so annoyed when I see 30 degree weather! I thought I left this brick weather in NYC. Smh
I truly enjoyed this vlog. Thank you for sharing. You have been missed. I was raised in Brooklyn and had to make the tough decision to move to Georgia because I did not want to raise my son there. It has been the best decision ever. We left when he was six and he is now 21 and doing great.
I left Brooklyn I during the beginning of covid . Completely left the country , had a going away party and everything . Lost my remote job in 2022, lost a family member , and just came back to NYC in late December . I spent all of my money on therapy, cause I was so anxious about coming back to an even more dangerous, more expensive, more scarier version of the city . Thank God I'm living in Astoria now instead of Brooklyn , ( which definitely sooth my anxiety) . But I don't blame anyone for leaving NYC . This place is Looney tunes
I moved to CT from Bronx, NY in 2010 for some of the same reasons. Best decision that I ever made for myself and my family. I still commute to work in NY but get the peace of mind to get on the highway and go home an hour away.
@@JasmineRose You are so welcome, dear. I have watched you for years and I see you coming into you happiness as a wonderful mother, wife and simply enjoying life.
Loved the style of this video!! It was a vlog, elevated! Following you around different setting while you talked to us about a personal topic was a great idea! So cinematic ❤
Yay! Thank you! I wanted to challenge myself with this video and I’m so proud of the effort I put into it no matter what the numbers say ☺️ I plan on doing more of my vlogs like this 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Wooo Ma'am. I don't know why this came up on my timeline on this good morning. But I do. I too love my apartment (and the price) here in Brooklyn, but it's starting to feel like even that isn't worth it with the mounting negatives, even though it's been such a blessing. Especially after years of also living in less than ideal situations here...Thank you for sharing!!
I love this video Jasmine. I’ve watched you for so long. From the 1st locs journey to the hair transplant. The video was great. You look so beautiful. Can you do a tutorial of the different ways you style your locs including the wraps please?
I appreciate that! I may just be in my vlog era 😅 I still plan on delving into makeup, food, locs and all that good jazz. Your support means the world to meeee 😭
Jasmine you’re so resilient! I admire that about you. From the event you had that no one showed up, you opened this content creation space that didn’t work out, divorce, new relationships, a mom now, moved and everything else that’s going on in the background . Girl! Keep going❤ Wishing you allll the best!
I had this same conversation with ny cousin about New York . I told her NY is a place for me to visit but not to live. As I've gotten older I like the quietness and slow pace that fast pace life isn't for me. Lol.. Did he just call you kangaroo knuckles? 😂😂 That cafe looked like such a good vibe. At 18 i moved by myself from one county to another country not knowing anything or anyone. You have to take a step to experience life. This world is too grand to stay stuck in one place.
The bottom of it all is for you to do you and all that makes YOU happy. I'm totally happy for you and all of your endeavors. You look happy and content with your decisions, that matters. Glad you're still here and sharing with us.😊
I love how you did your video! Living life and talking to us! Crazy all this was happening! I remember the upstairs neighbour 😮💨 Love your current life situation and the best is always yet to come!
I Loveee the Growth!! I've been following for many years now and to see you happy is such a beautiful thing!!. I personally sent all I mean all my things to Haiti from FL to move there when my ex husband got deported..It was an amazing journey but now I'm in Denver CO starting all over..life has a way to humble you for sure!!
Do you mind sharing what you used to do your makeup? I'm looking to do a major overhaul and only have nontoxic makeup. I think we have similar skin tone
Hard decision: I too went through a divorce before the pandemic. Five years later and I would make the decision all over again. All God! Ended up with my *true* soulmate, had two more children and couldn't be more happy and grateful for moving and listening to God 🙌🏾
I’ve been vegan since 2016☺️ it started out as a challenge for lent but I stuck with it because after my dad lost his battle with cancer, I wanted to change my eating habits
