Why I returned my Coach Quilted Tabby 26 | elle be | 

I'm glad you shared this. I bought the blue/gray quilted tabby 26 in store yesterday and when I got home and opened the dustbag I saw there were significant indentations from the chain on the top of the bag due to how it was packaged. The indentations look better today but are still there. If they don't pop out by tomorrow night I will have to exchange. I love the bag and am not expecting it to remain pristine forever but if I shell out all that money for a brand new bag, I want the bag to look perfect when I bring it home for the first time.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I don’t blame you for exchanging it. I have done the same thing. I don’t know how much this bag costs, it doesn’t really matter. The point is a brand new bag should be perfect. I feel the same way. Coach has no problem exchanging their defective product. They rather you exchange then return. I’m glad Nordstrom didn’t give you any problems. Had this been a defective Louis Vuitton, that would be a whole nothing story.

I agree! I want so many of the color ways! I have the black with gold the medium size and the white with gold smaller size, there is a pink I have my eye on and the nude looks way better in person than online and there is a denim one now too!!

I would love the black/brass in the 33cm but it’s not an option! I saw the black out version in person and they do feel very Chanel-esque

I actually did my RU-vid debut with this bag and mine does also have some indentations, but like you, that didn’t bother me as much. However, I’ve had trouble with my clasp from day one. It’s not a bag I frequently use, but now I’m wondering if I should bring it up sooner rather than later because it really gives me the hardest time to open it. Was yours that way too?

I have been scoping out that Black/Gold 26 on the Coach website... I am totally going to order it. If it's defective... returning to the Coach store and repurchasing. Very happy the Nordstrom gave the money back, what great customer service! As for the size Tabby 20, I just received today the one with the lips. It's super adorable but small... substantially smaller than the 26. Can't wait to see what you end up with....I say BOTH 20 and 26. And of course, the square tabby from the runway show!🥰

I first bought the 20 and returned it and got the 26. I don’t carry much and the 20 just didn’t hold my essentials, phone,key cles,glasses and a lip product. It was a no go for me.

I hate you got one that is defective! I haven’t had any issues with my black/brass and I’ve carried it non stop since I got it.. I was also able to preorder the black denim. It’s good as well. I’ll end up with another one lol

Call me crazy but I sometimes order 2 of the same bags to pick the better looking one cause I’m super picky hehehe.. if not I just go to the store and have them bring out a few of them and I’ll pick the one I like cause sometimes I realize that even though they’re the same bags the leather can vary so I’d rather pick the one that passes my quality check 🤣

You’re not the only one. I had ordered a 20 and the hardware was uneven .. I mean the hoops where the strap is was not even on both sides and had a pulling too and the clasp won’t be perfect it’s just the way it is 😅 that kind of clasp always tend to « block » somehow.

Aww I will say I got the purple 20 in the very first drop and its perfect. Hopefully it works out!

Nordstrom’s is the best.. I think even better than coach. I think was fine for you to return. I have this bag in moss and smaller black with pewter. The clasp would be a deal breaker for me. The bubble… not super sure unless I noticed it too much. it is still over $500 and so shouldn’t really have hardware issues or anything else too major. However everyone is different and if something you don’t notice or don’t care too much, then ok to keep too.
