Why I ride motorcycles... 

As a 30 year motorcycling Paramedic, with 20 of that at the TT, I know bikes can so easily take lives. However, I also know that bikes can be a "lifesaver" for so many and keep them sane, grounded and in control. I feel sorry for people who go through their whole lives without ever experiencing what riding a motorcycle can give you.

I'm a 54 year old man thar never comments, but this video had me in floods of tears. You have to believe this, but you are inspirational. Getting knocked down happens to us all but the strong not only get back up again but thrive and make progress. You have been lower than most, and soared higher than most and the world NEEDS to hear your laughter again. You are not alone, please never be afraid to ask for help from your personal cheerleaders, we are not only here to watch your life, but to help in anyway we can. We live vicariously through you, so we need you as much as you need us. Be fierce and inspirational x

Getting quiet, that's how I've been watching your channel for hours. How beautiful the humanity you show without hesitation, tears of happiness tears of sorrow. All summed up on and with your motorcycle.

"Some day i became the person i pretended to be" that is genuinely such an honest statement. The quote "fake it till you make it" it sounds like bull shit, like some toxic trait, but its actually a genuinely real and healthy way to work on yourself. For me when i was younger i was extremely shy and insecure. In the last couple years of high school i chose to pretend to be confident, and at some point I dont know when, i just became confident If you wanna be something youre not. Try just faking it. Eventually, you'll likely become that thing

Maybe this is only another comment more, but I felt touched by this video. And perhaps that’s why I love your channel, you are real, with your ups and downs, struggles and victories and you share it with us as it is. I remembered being in similar situations, no money, no food, no hope. I had to sell many things (including my bike) and look for better luck in a different country, leaving family and friends behind. Never stop fighting and never stop doing what you like the most, in one way or another. If you follow your passion, everything will be fine. Craic on lass, that all we can all do, make the most of it all before we are planted, your vlogs are the most heart felt I have seen, and you have my sympathy( maybe that that's the wrong word, maybe empathy) for the situations you have shown. I have been on a bike, highland to south England, its snowing, begging for somewhere to stay, and some garage owner has let me kip in the back room, to get a few hours kip, (awesome) then off to to destination next day, and needed help to get off bike as frozen. IMHO don't forget, it makes you more. But as to why we ride motor cycles, no idea, its in the blood, a curse, but its fun, and in this world, grab the fun 🤣🤣🤣

There's no doubt about it, motorcycling really is great therapy. When I am on my bike I forget all of the current problems for a while and it gives me the vital space needed to build up the strength to eventually tackle and beat life's problems. Well done Saffy for keeping going.

Your story is so similar to mine how I got into motorcycles my wife just passed away from cancer too and the medical bills and finding out we were over a 100 grand in debt from credit cards she was hiding I bought my bike to just rebuild my credit and riding helped me forget the pain of losing so much. My MT-07 saved me. If you ever want to ride in the West of the USA you're more than welcome to come out. Now let's get you another bike and a new start!!

Having a sibling, sister or brother, with such fundamentally immediately greater needs than yourself, has enormous effects on your own sense of worth. My wee bother is 60 now, and not in great health, but in good care. Always needed more care than the family could deliver. Permanent guilt trip. Your openness and honesty are very emotional for me, and illuminate many similar feelings of regret, guilt, inadequacy, and failure to be able to support a sibling who had so much less than me. To see you find yourself and your own drive, is great. And an inspiration not only to those that can copy you; follow you; but also to those who are too old or frail to do so, or who can’t break free; their care still needed. They/we can ride with you, and enjoy your release, vicariously, but knowing you are carrying the same flag! Don’t ever stop; unless you need to. And be free; for yourself and your sister, and your parents; none of them wanted you to be held back, now you can fly. I truly hope the broken ribs and the trauma of your nordkapp adventure have morphed into a tale of epic adventure and another story to tell in your distant dotage! 600% to your mojo!

Chin up and keep going there’s always light at the end no matter how far off it may appear. My partner started riding just over a year ago and has spent hours watching your videos, I really think it spurred her on to keep at it when she was struggling. If your in need of a loan bike we’ve got a Himalayan not getting used much in garage up in gods own country (Yorkshire just in case anyone’s struggling with that bit 😂).

Thank you for providing inspiration. We all struggle, some days more than others, other days we are in a blissful place.

You'll get there, and there will be future bumps along the way, but your past challenges and beating those, will armour you for the futures up and downs. Keep being tenacious. 3 years ago serious illness left me in a mobility scooter, I felt lost for months, anxiety gripped me as I slowly recovered, but I did recover and that experience, no matter how bad, will always remind me that there is always a way, no matter how bleak.

Bikes always kept me alive

I have been riding for 45 years, the only constant in my life has been that there was always a motorcycle in one shape or form. My motto has always been, never give up on your dreams. When all else fails a ride out, a small trip or long always gives you the freedom and the reason to believe that we are so fortunate to be able to ride a motorcycle it stirs the passion and enables you to remember why you are alive.
