lol i know several people on youtube have tried to say vlogging is dead but i don’t think it is 😅 clearly we all love them. vlogging is just going through a renaissance of sorts lately
“renaissance of sorts”, I love that ❤ and I totally agree. I used to associate vlogs with influencers talking about their day, hauls, events they get invited to, etc. - or travel vlogs. But lifestyle vlogs are a game changer, and my favourite type of videos to watch now ☺️
I love vlogs! I plan to move to New York next year but I currently live in SF so I started uploading vlogs while I’m in San Francisco about what life is actually like here, I also LOVE movies! So I will be doing movie reviews too, I’m in the middle of editing right now lol it’s 4 am…😴😅
I started a vlog channel recently because I love the story behind it. I enjoy the aesthetic and they are calming to watch. I get frustrated and want to see more growth. But reading positive comments makes it all worth it. Enjoy the process and the rest will come. For all content creators let's stay focused. We got this!!!!!❤
THATS IT. 😤 I'm starting 4 channels. 😅 Separate your niches (audience) makes complete sense. Ok, but I also don't understand why all the smart algorithms can't figure this out per video vs channel .... but as a subscriber 🤔 I think I would expect one subject per channel, so ultimately I think it just makes sense to separate audiences.
so i started a vlog channel a hot min ago and just recently was like wait can i just post these to my main channel? the video i needed haha! my vlogs kinda overlap with my niche...but not fully. Guess i'll be keeping them separate, thank you for the advice!
I started vlogging few months ago and it definitely is a good feeling once you watch your own video that you film and edit. A satisfaction of having like your own tv series lmao. Keeps me creative and all that.

I document my weight loss on my channel but thankfully, my subscribers love that I incorporate what I do during the week too. They can see that I am an incredibly busy woman and I show that you can lose weight whilst eating out, or when you are on hioliday... I have thought about another channel. I really want it to be a business one day but not sure how. thanks for this one x
Do you think it makes sense to unlist older videos that aren't the current direction of your channel? Ryan Trahan (idk if I spelt that right) is huge with millions of subscribers today, but if you go to his old videos they're all about running. He pivoted a running channel to basically a Mr beast vlog style channel. Jw

This is the third vid of yours I've watched in a row and I'm now able to shift to productive content creation instead of wandering kind of aimlessly-even AFTER watching the "big guys." Do you believe that there can be such a thing as an 'eclectic' RU-vidr? I've been building a plan for my content, and it varies from lifestyle, fashion, adventures, nerd stuff, and the through line is just... me. Would that just be considered a vlog channel? I read somewhere that instead of maintaining a niche, you should create for a person who might also be into all of those things. Is that something you could give some insight on?
I’m in the exact same boat! I feel like it’s possible to grow but just takes more content and more promoting your content! I am currently doing this for the simple fact that I want my subscribers to attach to me, as opposed to the content. I want a true support system of people who are rooting for me, not a transactional relationship.
Great tips. I’m growing and being discovered solely from RU-vid shorts! I try to post content for my ideal followers interests. I planned to do social media growth tips for creators but my other content took off and the top videos didn’t perform well

Oh so cool!! My main channel is gardening & I am wanting to started a second channel for sewing but vlog style. It could mesh but the things I sew don't relate to the messiness of gardening lol. Oh decisions decisions
Currently just dropped my first real video and this vid of yours came in perfect time because I did feel I was putting different aspects inspired from my favorite youtubers in it because there's something about niche explanations that don't click with me, but yours actually did, the understanding of an audience. Great video. I’m planning on vlogging my life living as a dad living with a terminal illness. I also have a podcast that is more formal conversations about the terminal illness with solo and guest interviews. In this example would you have podcast as a separate RU-vid channel to my vlogs or have them all on one channel now RU-vid have the podcast tab? Keep up the great content.

Now Im wondering if I should start a second channel, my channel "blew up" last year but I posted primarily in a super niche and now that I want to diversify my content I see a HUGE change in views and lack of new subscribers. It can be so discouraging

i would love to create lifestyle videos but with my current channel name, it's not appropriate. Should i change my channel name so it covers travel, home life etc/
