That would be fun! Hope I can run I to him at some events/meets if he joins those. Heard he's been low key recently but hey, never know! If you decide to visit, let me know!
Great to see you back. Two things I would be interested in. Learning more about how you got the job/got a work permit and residency. Learning about the starcraft scene and how it intersects with the keyboard scene.
Thank you for updating us, Scott! I also recently moved to Pangyo and noticed many of the same things. Leaving the phones to reserve tables, leaving bikes unlocked all day at train stations, etc. Would love to hear more updates on your life there, and on the K-Keyboard scene.
Wow. Came for keyboard updates and was schooled on Korea. I was really enjoying the glimpse of Korea you experienced. Was blown away when spoke of the crime or very minimal amount of it there. Where in at you can get stuff stolen by simply stopping at a red light. Very much enjoyed your detailed experiences of your new home.
Aside from being a keyboard content creator, I think your style of videos and the way you present would be great for talking about the shift from the states to korea! Definitely interested in hearing about it from time to time! Also I think it'd be pretty cool if you could get in touch with geon and do something with him like an interview on how he designs his boards and even how he prices them since he apparently doesn't make anything off them. Or just a review on his boards in general would be cool
Was wondering where you’d been and now you’re taking us on another kind of adventure with you! Keep us posted about life in South Korea. Always wanted to visit but at least we can live vicariously through you for a time. Thanks for everything and can’t wait for new content…it’s been parched out here in RU-vid land without you.
Thanks Matthew! It's been a big culture shock initially but getting used to it now! I hope it'll be a great experience and open up new perspectives for me :) hey if you ever decide to visit, let me know!
Awesome update! Coincidentally I'll be going to korea next month for vacation. Maybe I'll bump into you by chance haha. Looking forward to your uploads from here on out!
Missed your videos! I was going to post a comment and ask if you were just done with the hobby, but then I saw your post about your move to Korea. Congrats and look forward to more of your work!
Welcome back! I'll be very excited to learn more about Korea from you since I'll be there for an overseas exchange, love to come hang at the meetup too!
Congrats on the move! It's fun to hear your updates and changes in your life. Thanks for sharing :D 5:19 whoever's room this is, shout out to the Touken Ranbu merch \o/
Welcome back! I am in IT and always wondered what you do for a living. Not going to lie, I am jealous. I love culcure! S Korea, Japan, Hong Kong...I would love to visit.
Yay exciting stuff, really happy that ur in Korea. Would love to see some fun cultural stuff once in a while! Can’t wait to see what collabs u have over there!
I'm always interested in public transportation of different places! Like affordability, how easy/difficult it is to get around, and maybe if things like bicycling are encouraged.
Very nice. I've visited KR many times and also "short-term" lived there (in Seoul) a few years ago. It's one of my keeb life goals to go back and experience more 🎉 hopefully in the very near future. : )
As a 2nd generation Korean American that hasn't been back to South Korea in about a decade now, some short bloggos about your stay in Korea would be something I'd be interested in! Of course, keyboard content is great too. Good luck on everything!
I've been missing your videos and especially your humor! Yours was one of the first channels I found when I got addicted to this "hobby." I think SK would be a pretty great place to live for a while but definitely different. Glad the move went well and looking forward to more videos!
When you mentioned visiting nearby countries, I was sad that you just missed the biggest keeb meet in the world (to date) here in the Philippines -- The Grand Lason R2. Even Geon himself was here. Looking forward to your future content. More power!
Ina and I are coming out next year to see you guys!! I would love to see content around life in Korea. Hara already vlogs with her mini videos... have her get in on it. 🙃 🥰Love you guys!!!!
Wow, super cool! I had no idea just how advanced and surveilled South Korea is. I'm excited for this next chapter in your channel and wish you the best from USA!
Very cool to see you're back, and awesome that you're in Korea! I'd be interested in anything more specific to the keyboard scene in Korea - differences, general vibe, collab with makers there, etc. You've been my favorite keyboard youtuber for a while and now I'm even more excitied for the future!
You should do some content on custom arcade pads: Korea is the home land for creating them as well as the artisan keycap scene ... Most of the modern ones actually use MX switches in hot swap sockets for the buttons.
I spent 10 days in Seoul about 5 years ago and I was amazed by how far technologically advanced they seemed and still had the mix of old school markets on some streets. I had the same experience you mentioned with people leaving things on the table when the left, or street vendor not locking their stuff up over night. IT was wild to me. Enjoy and keep the videos coming. I hope to get back there soon.
Would LOVE to hear more about your experiences in Korea! The food, places to take the the bullet train for a short vacation, what kind of homes do most people live in, what kinds of work middle class people do…. Did you grow up speaking and reading Korean, or are you picking it up as you go? My husband is an immigrant from Poland and he grew up in the US “kind of” speaking Polish and had to relearn it as an adult.
Scott, you're not just a great keyboard creator, you're genuinely interesting and entertaining as well. I would absolutely be interested what your life is like with such a huge change. Even if it's on a separate channel, definitely let us know! I also work in big tech, so I would be super curious to hear about the workings in Korea and how they differ to the US.
Loved to see this update, and happy to hear that you're well! Please share anything about your times in Korea, as it's high on my destination list for travel.
As a fellow asian living in America, always wanted to visit some place like south korea or Japan, plus I just love your style of videoes, so I very much would enjoy more South Korean vlogs! Thanks for the update and welcome back!
It's cool to hear you brought a QK100 with you. They just had a restock and was able to get one, your video sold me on it. Looking forward to your next videos Scott!
This was super interesting. I enjoyed you talking about all of this stuff. I thought this would be a normal "I took a break, but I'm back" type video, but I became even more invested as I continued to watch. Would love to see more content like this on the channel!
Hey yeah, I WAS starting to notice you hadn't uploaded recently, good to see you're doing alright. What a great opportunity, enjoy your time in S. Korea! I'd love to see some updates on your time there and the different experiences you have, that's a part of the world I'd love to see at some point. Looking forward to your next keyboard uploads as well!
Excited for some phone keyboard reviews! Jokes aside, hope the move went well and I'm definitely interested in some vlog style content as well! Hope you have a great time there and welcome back scott.
Korea with Scott would be awesome! Also, now you have access to not just Korea's KB scene, you also have access to Japan and China's scene, since they're all so close by. You could make trips to visit people like Z-Frontier.
Thank you, Scott, for the update! I'm really happy to hear that the move went well. Your videos actually got me interested in this hobby, so I'm excited to see how it is in Korea.
Absolutely fascinated of the polar opposites. Although I could never live in a city where everything is crammed with camera surveilance and AI screening and protocoling everything. Madness.
Thanks for sharing Scott. Your observations of the cultural differences set realistic expectations for many americans who have wondered what korea is really like
This move sounds like a really good choice for you, and the culture change also seems really appealing me (also a US citizen). Although, I don't think I could learn a new language to go through with something like this. Props and good luck!
Honestly, I would totally be down to see you do a vlog of your time in Korea because I've considered visiting Korea at some point and potentially even live there for a little bit. Also I just like hearing you talk you have a very nice voice. 😁
Vlog is a nice idea. Would love to get your perspective for your experience in Korea as a Korean American. I followed another RU-vidr that went through similar transition (Ben Deen) so very curious about your experience.
would love to find out more about the korean keeb scene! my mom is in korea to take care of family atm and I've been pondering what to ask her to bring back 😅
I have never known korea is quite far convinient than other countries cuz I am korean. it's just normal life for me. but I finally realized kr is extremely convinient when I had lived US for serveral months. small territory sometimes comes as advantages😂. I hope see you on Jan.
Feels like a lot of the magic of the country is barred off to it's residents, which I guess makes sense at the end of the day. I miss being able to go to the convenience store and nabbing a light meal for like $5 lmao. Hope you enjoy your time in KR. You got Swagkeys right there (ngl their service for overseas customers is still nuts too.)
That intro had me lmao but still felt a little nervous that you might be serious! hahahaha Great to see you're starting up again, you've been missed and definitely looking forward to new content.
I really enjoy your content and was hoping this video was you actually saying you were going to be doing more tech in general! I would LOVE to see your take on some things in tech
Anything tech. Right now I would say anything as you are getting new stuff in South Korea AND/OR anything that’s new and different over there compared to here. Like even those robots in restaurants and all
Hi Scott! Congrats on the exciting new move! I’d be interested to know more about Korean values and social etiquette, how it differs from American or rest of world. Good luck at the convention :)

Wishing you all the best in your new chapter! It's incredible to see you embark on this journey. Can't wait to see how your new surroundings inspire your content. Anyway, do you know Korean? If not, how could you live in a country without it's major language? I know GEON is one of biggest keyboard marker and vendor in South Korea as well, do you think you can collaborate with them for their new keyboards?
