@@XxAlex530xX honestly it’s cliche to say at times but calorie deficit is key, so I dropped to 1800 cals (may be a bit to excessive) while also burning 500 cals going stairmasters and 45 minute weights 6 days a week, this helped me lose weight in 4-5 months, obviously imo this is unreasonable and weight loss this drastic should be done healthier so try to go to the gym or some sort of activity 3-5 times a week plus calorie deficit you should be good!
As a runner recovering from an eating disorder, and struggling with tracking calories and fueling properly, I really appreciate you sharing the message of fueling for performance. Always so motivating, and amazing content quality as always!
Can we just appreciate how well Nico edits all of his videos. They just keep getting better Never disappoints us, keep up the great work and best of luck for the sub 2:50❤
Nico i was running a couple of months ago but had to stop due to an injury. After my injury I lost motivation to do anything that had to do with exercise. But then I started to understand that I needed to get back on track since I noticed I get out of breath more often now. You are motivating me to get back on track. I had a period in time where I really wanted to get better and I dropped my mile time from 8:00min to 7:00min in 2 weeks. Right now I'm just trying to get back to where I used to be so I can start making progress to run a half marathon to maybe a marathon some day in the future. Thank you for the motivation you've given me over the last couple of months when I really started to get into running! I will always be grateful to you since I really got into running because of You, Matt Choi and my mom!
I am so excited to be running my first half marathon on feb. 11th in Barcelona. I watch plenty of running content and you are one of my favorite people to watch. Thank you for making these amazing videos. 💪🏻😊
I don’t track calories either. I just want to enjoy my run, my meals, and my life. Also gonna be studying biomed engineering in a few years. I find so many thing in common with you, which is why I always look forward to your videos.
questions for your next video: - as a BPN partner, have you ever met Nick Bare? - Was it running that got you out of eating disorders? Do you ever relapse? Otherwise thank you for everything you do, you are a real source of inspiration !
Always enjoy your videos when I get back into running . Thank you for all your good tips. Thank you sofie for also working hard and making these videos happen. You guys are both inspirational 🙏
Thoroughly enjoy your videos.. As a former ballet dancer, who also had an eating disorder and tracked calories, the moment you’re able to break free from that delusion, life begins and your body thanks you and you grow. I’ve just started to get into running, absolutely hate it, but it’s why i keep doing it. Hoping to do some marathons in Europe, over the summer, full steam ahead.
@@orang1414 Honestly, I just woke up one day, unintentionally looked at myself from a third person perspective, had a laugh at what I’d become and something cracked. Ever since, I don’t track, I enjoy sustaining my body in any way I like and not feel guilty.
@@antonios111thank you for sharing this. That’s so good to hear! I guess sometimes when we just pause and consider whether our actions are serving positively to our purpose it helps us to let go of what doesn’t if that makes sense. For me I can almost feel like I’m nearing this point to ‘let go’ but at the same time am quite terrified of losing that control. If it’s ok to ask; since the day you stopped, how do you go about putting meals together/ portions/ not weighing? And did anything change physically (weight wise)? Thanks again for sharing some light 👍🏻
Love your videos and I like that you're consistent with the running! Thats inspired me to run now every day for atleast 5 days a week. Thank u for the inspo💜🙏 t The videos are also great quality and very entertaining. I love the scenery in your vids too its so beautiful!!
I'm 39 years old and getting into running again and want to run a half marathon this December. Thanks for the motivation bro.. I just ran 5 miles with a 13 minute pace. Slow compared to you but I'll get there. Thanks again for the motivation!
Nico you are going for a crazy time goal (2:50 for the marathon) and you're aware how crazy it is but you're building your confidence and trusting the process. You have a positive approach to the mental side of running which I lack, so that's the lesson I take from you right now. Aiming for 2:53 on April 28 in Newort (Wales, UK) having achieved sub 3 last September.
Your videos inspired me to get back into running and now I’m currently training for a 5k and aiming to run a half marathon this year. Thank you for helping me find my love for running again 🧡
This is awesome man, recently started training up for my first marathon, been somewhat of a long distance runner (6-9 mile long runs) hoping to improve and excited to watch your journey man!
Very interesting seeing how you slowly integrate prep for your marathons! Although I haven’t done any I enjoy seeing how you prepare for the distance because I enjoy long distance running
Thank You, You motivate me to run daily even though I'm skinny..this video really helped me alot ,,...thankkkssssssssss thankkss thankssss love your vibes and Sophie seems fun to be around..glad to have found your channel! ❤
Props to Sophie for the shots. I mentioned it before but enjoy the cinematic quality of your videos. How do you deal with the mental challenge of facing some runs? Not all days are equal, weather conditions, fatigue level, or overall energy level can have a huge impact. I did 5k yesterday in unseasonably warm and humid conditions. The struggle was more mental than it was physical. The distance and fitness weren't really the problem.
hi Nico and Sophie I really enjoyed the full day of eating video, and I am currently a long distance runner but have yet to do a marathon so this video really motivates me : )
Running my first half marathon on March 3, going for a 1:30-1:40 time. Already hit the times on my Friday long run yesterday with a 1:38:56 time, now we gotta do it on race day. Lets gooo, greeting from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
I liked this longer video from you today! Great advice! I’m working toward a 1/2 in May… but taking my time working up to it due to health issues. I need to try me some lulu lemon socks! 🧦🏃🏽♀️
I've been counting my macros for years, and now I feel like I have to stop because I eat because I can see how many calories I have left for the day and not because I'm hungry. Thank you For your video And your own thoughts , I Really like it
nice vid bro, and coming from a hybrid athlete i am trying to gain weight so it’s necessary for me to track but for people not trying to gain you make a good point👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hey! Absolutely love the videos! I would love to see a video about your process of how you map out your runs? Do you pre plan your routes or run until your about half way for you mileage that day and then turn around? Great job, again!
the donut! HAHA! Love this! I swear every run I get the scent of a bakery or something like that and I totally want to stop. This made the video! haha!
Bro!! After you were showing around where you were running, I’m like, I live right next to you! I recognized the neighborhoods! And when you ran by Bosa Dounuts and Perry high school, I was like no way! I went to Perry high school and used to go to bosa after school every day then walk home!!
would really appreciate a video on how to stop tracking when it is obsessive and how to ease towards intuitive eating. In the past I found when I tried stopping tracking I freaked out cause I had no fullness cues or idea how much id eaten and ended up binging and compensating so now I'm scared to
Surprised Nick Steroid Bare would have someone apart of his team that “hates the gym.” Interesting. Maybe if you hop on his stack you won’t be a flyweight anymore
Yeah . I agree I just can’t do the high sugar refined carbs grub. It would shoot my insulin levels to an uncomfortable high level increasing the chance of developing insulin resistance (a precursor to type 2 diabetes).
Amazing video dude! Sitting here eating a Sammie and some fruit before my run while watching your video. Was genuinely curious how long you wait after you eat to start your run??
Always inspirational, i hope to get the courage to get off meticulous calorie tracking and back to intuitive eating one day too. I just like food too much to trust myself to lose weight without having data to keep me in check lol
Hey Nico wassup man. I found you out from your "what I eat in a day" shorts. I am not much of runner but what you do is impressive ! My question is do you plan on doing social media full time or you plan on pursuing something else in the future ?
Do you incorporate any strength and conditioning or Prehab to avoid injuries and If yes, can you make a video or short about your routine? if no, do you feel like you are injury Resistant As always appreciate the content I feel like your videos keep getting better and better thanks
hey nico, so i actually have two questions. im 14 years old right now, and i got into running about 7 months ago, because i wanted to lose weight as a 13 year old that was skinny fat. i also started going to the gym. after some time, i actually lost 15 lb. now i can run 6,2 miles in 59 min without stopping (thats my pr rn) and I’m in the best shape of my life right now. one of my goals is to run a marathon one day like you. so my first question is, did you run the chicago marathon without walking or stopping? and my second question is, if i heel strike or midfoot strike, does it make a big difference? (i dont know excactly if i heel strike or midfoot strike, because i havent checked properly yet, and if i heel strike, i dont do it aggressively). Thank you for your time.
I just noticed the tattoo on your arm! What’s the meaning of the coordinates? You don’t have to share if it’s personal, I was just curious. Also I love your videos and you are supper inspiring!❤
Hi. Watching your videos and have a question about the sneakers. You often run in New Balance SC trainer v1 but I remember you have second version. So, which version one do you prefer more ? P.S. watching from Ukraine :)
hi i have a question for u, for the marathon training prep, how frequent should we do marathon target pace training? should we add it as early as marathon training block start or near to the marathon date? thanksss, love ur videos
Just bought a Coros pace 3 since I’m taking this seriously, I got some Pegasus 38’s & invincible run 3’s for my daily trainers . Can you suggest some socks that you like for your runs ?
